Hampton Inn Monroe

This is an unassuming little Hampton with so many extra touches. Coloring sheets/​madlibs for the kids, HOT coffee al day, cookies out, feminine products in the main bathroom, gluten free breakfast options…
Some Hamptons have some of these things, this one had them all. Also, super friendly staff, beautiful rooms, lovely little indoor pool.

We stayed in a King Bed Non-​Smoking room. They have a very good layout and the amenities are also good. We did not had any bad experiences. Their pool is very small but okay to chill out in the evening after tiring day. They have the complimentary breakfast in the morning from 6 to 10am. They do have fitness room which has wights, 1 treadmill, 1 elliptical, 1 cycle and exercise balls. Overall, I will say I had a good stay and would surely recommend others to stay.

Very nice Hampton Inn! Clean rooms and recently renovated! Lobby area is beautiful, and I didn’t get to try the breakfast but it is complimentary! Wifi complimentary as well and works great! Don’t usually stay at Hampton but this one was real comfortable and I enjoyed my stay!

I enjoyed my stay here. This is a fine Hampton Inn, with everything you could need including a clean room and good breakfast. Hotel is a little old, with some scratches here and there, but I’d be happy to come back.

I give this place 5 stars if they’d get some decent pillows. Beds were the usual Hampton Inn quality; breakfast was good, front desk was friendly. But the pillows — tried them all and they were all bad — could not get comfortable.

My five friends and I had a great three nights at this Hampton Inn. We originally had rooms at a nearby motel but left after seeing the quality of the rooms and the Hampton Inn took great care of us. Glenda did a great job taking care of checking us in and her coworker even took the time to make us all fresh baked cookies, which was a complete surprise. We were there on a fishing trip and they accommodated our trucks and boat trailers and power for charging our batteries! The rooms were great, the fresh coffee, the breakfast was ready and varied every morning. We were all well rested and glad we switched to this hotel. Thanks Glenda!

Victim of a crime. They do have cameras in the rear lot. Just don’t expect anyone that is employed here to help you. «you know it was dark out, so the cameras couldn’t really catch anything». Ok could deal with nonsense, I guess. Called 911. Monroe county 911 dispatcher says. Ehh, it’s not an emergency, a sheriff will call you in a couple of days to take a report”. Still haven’t gotten a call as of this writing. My driver side rear door window was busted. They took a GPS, IPOD, air compressor, sneakers and a pair of underwear (eww). Some other stuff I can’t quiet remember. First day in Michigan on vacation and this is my reward for visiting. Feel terrible to bad mouth a state. But stay far away from lower michigan, especially anything near Detroit.

I stayed at this Hampton Inn a few months ago and the stay was definitely enough to make me reconsider proclaiming Hampton Inn as my favorite chain. I stayed for work for a week, which was about a week too long. Although my room was moderately comfortable, it never felt very clean. The staff were very hit or miss. When I went to the front desk one afternoon to break a fiver for vending machine change, the guy tried to hit on me by pointing out how cute my tiny feet were. Then he tried to tell me how pretty I was, which was hilarious to me since I had just woken up from a long nap and had creases all over my face (plus, I’d been doing field work all morning long and was, overall, just pretty gross). It was very awkward. Also, they didn’t put out cookies every evening — I thought that was a Hampton standard! The breakfast was pretty standard fare, but one morning the lady tending the breakfast area stood at the front desk nearby and gossiped loudly about a housekeeper working at the hotel. And apparently she spent more time gossiping than doing her job, since I tried to make some hot tea and ended up with lukewarm tea.
All in all, it felt like a very run down hotel with unprofessional staff. I definitely wouldn’t stay there again if I was in the area!
