I am a local of the area. This place is in need of a major clean up! Dirty is an understatement!

Wow!!! This was horrible to me. I ordered steak fajitas and it was terrible. The meat and vegetables tasted like they were cooked and stored in a pot of juice until ordered. The meat wasn’t grilled(hence I need to start asking before ordering). I’m not even sure if they use fajita meat. The service was not good either. The building is run down but I wasn’t too interested in the building because some places like that are hidden gems. FYI: I don’t want to bash this eatery but I’m not going back period.

I ordered the spinach enchiladas and my husband ordered the cheese enchiladas. I took one bite of the spinach enchiladas and immediately spit it out. It tasted like extra salty seaweed and I’ve had seaweed before. It wasn’t what I expected in an enchilada. However, you would like this place if you enjoy chef boyardis pasta sauce because my husband and I are both pretty certain that was what was on top of the enchiladas. I would have given this restaurant 0 stars, but the waiter was nice enough to not charge us for the spinach enchiladas.

Would never eat here again. The problem is apparently this part of Louisiana doesn’t know what REAL Mexican food consists of. Even the quality of the food isn’t good.

As a former college student at ULM, this use to be a favorite of mine. This is as authentic as it gets, it seriously reeks Mexican! From the staff, the décor, the music, and the food! They even have a «showroom» where you can see a staff make the flour tortilla from scratch! When being seated, they give you homemade tortilla chip with homemade salsa, which are both very delicious, and best of all, this place is super fast and have very decent pricing I always order the Chimichanga Plate, which consists of a chimichanga, and I replace the beans an extra order of rice, so that’s two sides of rice with queso! MUSTHAVEQUESOOVERRICE! It really makes the dish much more delicious and richer! If you’re a college student on a budget, and in a mood to eat authentic Mexican, this is the place to be.

Oh my… I love love love Chile Verde. Rice with queso. The enchiladas with BOTH sauces… It’s a little dirty, but all of the locations are. Great prices, lots of college kids. Fast service. Don’t forget the queso. Please put it on your rice. For me? Please? I used to eat here twice a week. Sadly, no more, as I don’t live there anymore.

I’ve been loving Chile Verde ever since my college days at ULM! This is seriously the best Mexican food in Monroe. And when I say Mexican, I mean the American-Mexican brand that most of us have come to love. The food is super tasty, fresh, and always fast. Do yourself a favor and get the queso. And then put it on everything — even your fingers. Oh, and get a margarita. Or four.

Best Mexican joint in town! Fast and friend service and the food is great. The prices are very reasonable and even on high volume days the service can’t be beat!
