Although i do feel Does way over does their wait time(an hour and a half the last two times even though they called us at 45 min). This visit was way better than the last time. Steak was cooked perfectly, lobster was fabulous, even the bread pudding could not have been better. The bartender was terrific and although we didnt have leftovers he didnt seem like the type to touch our food like the female bartender wii. Thank you Does for a great meal!

Fantastic… from the moment we arrived til we left… everything was above n beyond. Our waiter was helpful and gave advice on cuts of steak we ask about. Beverages were refilled seemingly magically. Salad was crisp, clean n fragrant. We indulged in the 2 lb ribeye… perfect mr as requested… juicy, tender with a firm bite. Finished off with a sweet potato cheesecake for dessert… over the top. Drinks to go without even asking… Jeffery was our tour director per say… best waiter I believe I’ve ever had. a servant with a heart to please… will return

When a restaurant tells you there is a 30 – 40 min wait. They should honor that. Not tell a patron«oh well I should have told you an hour and a half». Totally unacceptable.

What a wonderful way to celebrate my birthday and Doe’s definitely made it a fantastically steak-alicious dinner! After hearing so many good things about Doe’s, we were finally fortunate enough to dine here on a Saturday night around 8pm without reservations since the restaurant wasn’t too busy.(I had called ahead earlier in the evening and was reassured there would not be a long wait.) The restaurant is located in Washington Plaza and has a large parking lot. We were seated and drink/food orders were taken promptly by our friendly waitress. There is a full bar, offering a good selection of wines, specialty cocktails, and craft beers. Everyone dines here for one reason: STEAK!!! We ordered the tamales and chili appetizer and the 2 lb bone-in ribeye comes with 2 sides and 2 salads(2 fully loaded baked potatoes, 2 slices of garlic bread, 2 Caesar salads). Another Unilocaler mentioned skipping appetizers and heading straight for the steak, which I would recommend. The tamales were average(I’ve had plenty of homemade tamales back in Houston throughout the years) and the chili was hearty, with plenty of spices. Being wrapped in paper rather than traditional corn husks, the tamales were a little on the dry side and a bit messy to eat. The Caesar salads were average as well. Behold, the star of the meal was the 2 lb bone-in ribeye, cooked to a medium perfection. Oozing with flavor, the ribeye was well-seasoned, moist, and tender. I was pleased with my steak selection and there was so much food leftover! Although you’ll be paying a pretty penny, Doe’s has the best steaks in town!!! Doe’s is an ideal spot to celebrate a special occasion and enjoy incredi-mazing steaks. Your carnivorous inner self will be doing cartwheels of joy and thanking you after eating here.

Truly one of the best steaks I’ve ever eaten. Sit at the bar for a cool experience watching the mixologists do their thing. The bone-in-ribeye is incredible!

Cannot complain about Doe´s. …and I can be pretty picky. Steaks are great, love the shrimp, fried, grilled, etc. Good service/atmosphere and good beer: Tripel Karmeliet ONTAP?!! Are you kidding me? In Monroe Louisiana? This is almost good enough to make you forget that you´re in Monroe. Skip the tamales and save room for dessert.

The steak portions are extra large!!! It’s a nice newer restaurant to the area and they seem to be do a very brisk business. Parking is easy and you should have no issues. You do need to make a reservation for dinner, that’s a must! Side dishes are just alright plan to focus on your meat entrée

My fiancé and I love Doe’s! The food and atmosphere are fantastic! The service is always wonderful. Our favorite dish isn’t the steak, it’s the fried shrimp. Oh my goodness, let me tell you, they’re the best! My mouth is watering just thinking about them. Don’t get me wrong, the steaks are superb. If you like sweet potato pie, and cheesecake, you must try the sweet potato cheesecake. It’s wonderful. Just know before visiting, it’s a rather pricey restaurant — but it’s worth every penny. If you haven’t, try Doe’s! You won’t be sorry. I guess if I had to name one thing that’s not optimal, it would be the fact that you can’t get reservations for parties less than six. You can«call ahead» which needs to be about a week in advance and they’ll put your name on the«call ahead» list. My fiancé and I have done this 3 times and have waited over an hour every time. The food is worth the wait but when you’re super hungry, waiting over an hour is no fun. Just wish they’d consider taking«real» reservations for smaller parties. Other than that, everything is perfect. I can’t wait until our next trip!

Literally, one of the best steaks I have ever had. Atmosphere is fantastic, wine selection much better than I would have guessed.

Doe ‘s is a great place to eat. I had the surf and turf and it was absolutely outstanding. I’m not a lobster fan but decided to try it. That lobster was the best I’ve ever had anywhere at any place at any time. It was so good I went to bed thinking about lobster. I will absolutely go back.

I had a wonderful experience. We went on a double date and we bought a few things to pass around. We had the tamales with chili and the broiled shrimp to start. Both were very tasty. For dinner everyone has a salad, then we passed around a 10once Filet, 20oz Ribeye, a lb and a half New York Strip! All were tender, juicy and flavorful. Best steaks I’ve ever had, hands down! We has wine and cocktails. Very nice selection of wines, craft beers and Cocktails. My boyfriend had a Maple Old Fashion and I had the jack rose. My sister had a Raspberry cocktail. They make all their syrups and mixers in house, I love how rich and fresh the cocktails are. For desert, we all shared a slice of they’re sweet potato cheesecake. It’s so dangerous. I was so full but could have had the whole slice to myself. You really have to stop in and try a piece when you go. This is definitely a place to be catered to and enjoy. The portions are ridiculously large and a very reasonably priced, especially for the quality of drink and meats. I will definitely be back.
