Ciro’s Ristorante Italiano

We had our son’s baptism luncheon here and everything was excellent. Our guests complimented everything for days afterward. I would highly recommend them. Prices are reasonable also. Best in the area for what you get.

Ciro’s is always great. Get the calamari appetizer– to die for. Also, ask for James. He’s a pleasure to have around and a great server. They’ll keep your wine for next time if you’re a regular. They don’t offer gluten free pasta, but will cook it for you if you bring it in.

Finally went here under better circumstances and boy am I glad I did. Stopped in for lunch with a dear friend. Ciro came up to us immediately, actually knew friend from somewhere and remembered me. Total sweetheart. I love this place reminds me of a place we used to go when I was kid in jersey city with the whole family. Old school family style. James our waiter was outstanding never had to want for anything including bread or water. I ordered calamari modena let me tell you highly recommend it. I was going to get the fried calamari but was told this was better 1000% true​.yum​.my friend ordered zupoa di clams they were delicious. She was dipping everything in the sauce including the spoon.lol. house salad with home made dressing was delicious and very light. Salad was so fresh. I ordered eggplant rollantine. What can I say tasted almost better than my own. I kid you not. I don’t joke about italian food. it was light and not greasy perfect amount of ricotta without being overly cheesy and glurpy. Even the angel hair pasta was perfect. My friend ordered broccoli Rabe with sausage, she indulged me in a piece of broccoli Rabe yum not bitter cooked perfectly. So much food couldn’t finish it. Yayyy leftovers! !! Now for the best part DESSERT! I’ve had their Tiramisu so I knew it was going to be orgasmic. My friend ordered rice pudding so creamy and delicious. Definitely can’t wait to go back. LOVE LOVE THEIR FOOD and how you’re made to feel like family. atmosphere was nice not overly noisy even tho it was crowded for lunch with big family parties. Could still talk privately. Friend is already talking bout what she’s gonna order next time.lmao.till then. Definitely worth a visit

The food is great here! Great Italian dining but what takes it top notch is the service. We came here un expectantly because my husband just graduated from police academy and we had to celebrate! The staff went above and beyond! Food was superb! You cannot go wrong with going to ciros

An amazing restaurant with friendly staff year after year after year! We have been here many many times and the food is delicious! Everything is fresh and made to order. Another great restaurant in the Jamesburg/​Monroe area. It has family written all over it. If you have a child with special needs, the restaurant will also accommodate your every need. They are autism and special needs friendly! I know this because I saw it first hand!
The owner, Ciro, is a very friendly amazing human being, and goes out of his way to greet you and talk to you. He makes you part of the Ciros family. This hometown restaurant is a must try, and then keep trying! Everything is made to order and there is a full bar. The bar staff is great and makes you want to come back time and time again! If the item you want isn’t on the menu, they will make what you want!
They also have a newly renovated party room with reasonable catering prices. One of the best Italian restaurants around! You won’t be disappointed!

I used to live in Monroe for 8 years and heart about Ciro’s many times, just never made it there. I was in town this past weekend and decided to go there to see what all of the hype was about. My party of 7 showed up without reservation on what turned out to be a very busy Sunday afternoon for the restaurant, as they were hosting multiple planned events. As soon as I walked in, one guy apologized that they couldn’t fit us today. A lady saw how disappointed I looked and said, «if you give me 10 minutes and are okay with me seating you in the bar area then I’ll get your table prepared». That level of customer service dedication made my day, I was so happy because of it. So many times I have ran into similar situations elsewhere and the staff just didn’t give a shit.
So we sat down in the time promised and the waiter made some great recommendations for appetizers and meals. He was spot on. My favorite was the calamari with the balsamic glaze, man was that as excellent as he said it would be. I also had the lobster risotto, absolutely perfect!
You guys have a new fan in me! I promise to come here every time I’m in the area and to preach about my experience here as often as I can. Please keep up the good work. You guys rock!

We recently moved to the area and were looking for a local «go to» place for lunch or dinner. We found it right around the corner! Ciro’s is a friendly environment with good food. When we are on the run and need a quick take out meal, we’ll place an order! The pizza is great and we LOVE the chicken maximo.

Excellent service! Food was great except for the chicken franchise which had no lemon flavor at all. It tasted like cream of chicken soup on top of chicken… but I just won’t order that again. Will go back to try their pizza!

One of our favorites! When we go to this restaurant, we are greeted as if a friend is inviting us into their home. Busy or not, they find a place for us.
The menu is very diverse and a lot of variety – even though predominantly Italian. I typically get chicken or fish however, last night I had a bar pie. «Not like any other pizza I’ve every had!» There is a slight kick to the sauce, maybe hot pepper flakes, not sure. Pizza is so so good! If there’s enough people in your party, get a bar pie as an appy, you’ll be glad you did. Always a good time and good food. Atmosphere is cozy and warm. Just a pleasurable experience!

My sister and I have been to Ciro’s several times this year. In Oct. after the Clearbrook fall musical play, a bunch of us were there and had a fabulous meal. The calamari appetizer was excellent. tender and not rubbery like in other places… Succulent shrimp parmigiana… which were so large and juicy it seemed as if we were eating rock lobster tails. The veal marsala was magnificent… sauce was perfection… The big surprise of the day was a dessert made of creamy cheesecake stuffed into an almond coated cone. absolutely unforgettable. We’ll be back this Wed. the 16^th to celebrate my sister’s ##th birthday. Follow up review is forthcoming.
By the way… you can’t find a nicer guy than the owner. He is so concerned about his guests’ satisfaction and happiness with the food and service. You don’t find that in many places these days. With the great food… wonderful service… and management so excellent… it’s as if the stars and planets were aligned in perfect position when Ciro’s appeared on Buckelew.

We decided kind of late on a Friday night that we wanted a nice dinner — good food good wine — and headed here around 9:30/10:00. I was a little worried because it was so late that the servers and staff would be anxious to leave and we would get bad food or bad service, but I was happy to say I was so wrong. First of all the décor is simply gorgeous — its nice without being stuffy or overdone and imposing. You definitely can come here casually dressed to sit in the bar area but you want to be a little dressy for the dining room area– you have to match the space you’re in. Even though it was later in the night the hostess was accommodating and very polite as well as the owner Tony, who greeted my boyfriend and I warmly and came to our table to ask us how things were, after dinner he even let me see the GORGEOUS event space upstairs. The wines that we had were excellent — Our appetizers (skirt steak wrapped around arugula, and tuna steak with wasabi soy sauce) were absolutely amazing, we cleared those plates in seconds flat. Then we had salads that came with our meal, definitely recommend the house dressing because its the best I’ve ever had. Our meals were even better, he got a special that had Langostino shrimp on crab meat risotto which he loved. I got a rib eye steak with veggies and a potato croquette — I was already full from the appetizers and salad so I only ate a little bit of my meal at the restaurant it was fantastic fresh, even better the next day. For dessert we had the exotic bomba and it was a great way to end the meal. Our server Anthony was excellent the entire time and talked about the food with us. It was late in the day and the restaurant was closed by the time we left but he was patient with us, never rushed us and never made us feel like we were imposing on his Friday night. We will definitely be back here again soon.

Not much to say about the food. Thought we were going to be in for a treat and instead wound up disappointed. Service was fine. The food simply wasn’t worth the $ 30 price per plate. Won’t be going back. Sorry.

We had been to this establishment two previous times. We weren’t overly impressed, but it is close to where we live, the bar area is fairly comfortable, the servers are friendly, and the food has been relatively consistent. Last night’s dinner was terrible. My dinner — a simple linguine with pesto — was awful. The pasta was bland and tasted like a Ronzoni-​type pasta. The pesto sauce was that brownish color it turns when it isn’t fresh, and it tasted off. The server asked if he should call out the chef — I declined — the chef had to know that the sauce wasn’t fresh… so my main meal was inedible — and this was on the heels of the server forgetting the seared tuna appetizer I’d ordered. The pasta fagioli was passable, but I’ve had better. On a positive note, he did make an exaggerated point of telling us that my undelivered appetizer would be taken off the bill. Umm I’d HOPE so! At 2 AM I woke with incredible stomach cramps which I can only attribute to the linguine with the turned pesto sauce. We will never eat here again.

Very good. I thought it was a little pricey, but I would recommend. The full bar is a plus. The service from our visit was fine.

I have been here two times, both times it was totally accidental, as we never made reservations. The second time, I was with my wife and daughter and not dressed for dinner, they took us in and seated us quickly and were so warm and inviting. Great food and great service.

It has been quite some time since we’ve been to Ciro’s. Right after they changed hands from Basil’s we were very disappointed, and stayed away.
We decided to give it another chance recently, and were pleasantly surprised by the food and atmosphere. We were glad to see some of the old waitress’s were still there, and the food was very good, just like the old days. We will definitely put Ciro’s back on our Friday Night circle of favorite’s.

I’d eat at this place over and over again! Food is delicious. Wine list is extensive. Wait staff is friendly and on top of everything! Ciro is always there greeting customers and making you feel welcome. The whole place is warm and comfortable. Like eating in Italy!

we have kids and Ciro’s makes us feel welcome when we come here with them. Its a warm, family Friendly atmosphere. Nice evoo and warm bread served here when we sat down. the waitress was a sweetheart– she made us feel welcome, not in inconvenience to her. calimari dish w a sweet and tangy sauce was out of this world (don’t remember the name of this dish)
prices are slightly higher that You’d expect but they have 10 and 15% off coupons in out local papers. Even without the coupons the place is a good value. I reccommend it.
