I really enjoy this farm. The woman selling baskets for the picking was a bit abrupt with some families, especially when informing them they cannot take bags onto the field. You cannot take a bag or stroller onto the picking fields, which is a giant pain if you have small children. You have to carry drinks and child(ren), which is a bit of a pain and detracts from the«family friendliness» I’m used to from PYO farms. We’ve taken our daughter to others where we can take a wagon, which also helps us carry more produce. The baked goods are great, and I loved the strawberry donuts. The strawberry picking was scarce, and we were«guided» to a section to pick berries – though it was bare and our guides were not overly helpful. Drinks are overpriced, as you would expect. I do enjoy that they have enough for children to do, but their produce prices appear to be quite steep in comparison to other places nearby.

Ooooh, so many pumpkins, so little arms. Every year we hit a least two or three pumpkins patches/farms and this one is increasing one of my faves. There is a ton of things to do for the little kiddies, they don’t gouge you on the price of things(mostly) and the pumpkins are really awesome. You can buy just the hayride or get an all-inclusive band for about $ 12 bucks($ 8 for adults.) It includes the corn maze, boo barn, all types of things for kids to jump and play on and of course the obligatory hayride to the pumpkin patch. There are a couple other things that have a separate fee, but I don’t mind that because there is SOMUCH to do without paying extra. Other farms(rhyming with Flax… Max…Wax) charge an entrance fee plus extra for everything you do. That puts me out a little. They have a food«barn» with common farm fare. Nothing to write Unilocal about(ha ha) but… Of course there’s a lil’ store that has fruit/veggies, baked goods, gifty-type things and the like. They sell just about every kind of jam, jelly, spread, honey you can image. Plus killer pies. We got a kitchen sink type that has apples and every berry they grow. It was scrumdiddlyumptious. And my FAVORITE part… pumpkins galore! And these aren’t your average pumpkins people; they have colors I’ve never seen before, blue and green and speckled and striped! So many to choose from!

Had a great time with my fiancé apple picking at Triple B Farms! Hits the spot when you’re looking to do something for fall-fun. Not only did we pick more than we could carry of delicious Fuji and Jonagold apples, but we had a small wine tasting and bought some wine, and had our fill of apple cider donuts and pumpkin funnel cake. We don’t have kids, but there was lots to do for children as well. We will be making this an annual stop in the fall!

A great family owned farm. You can often see members of the family working out and about and they are always extremely nice and approachable. My wife and kids always force me to come to their fall festival, which is a really nice time for the whole family but I really always enjoy the peach festival. The key to having a really nice time is to visit this farm in times other than the fall. It’s less crowded and people seem less stressed out but if fall is all you can do its OK because good is good, right?!

Triple B Farms is by far one of my favorite places to go! We were there nearly all day– there is just that much to do. When we went to buy our tickets for the hayride, the staff mentioned we could get everything included for $ 8 instead of $ 2.50 for the hayride only. We got the everything included pass and ended up doing Pumpkin Land and the Boo Barn in addition to the hayride. The last wristbands are sold at 3 pm, so make sure you get there early enough to enjoy all the festivities! All the festivities included in wristband are the slide, farm animals, boo barn, rope maze, Pumpkinland, tunnel, carnival, corn maze, games and an obstacle course. The Boo Barn seems to be geared more towards the younger kids, but it is pretty creepy in there. There are some really cool, creepy scenes and it is pitch black in there, so I don’t know how kids go through there without being really scared. I don’t know if it is appropriate for really young children to go in there because it is creepy for a grown adult, let alone a child. Pumpkinland really does not change much from year to year. It is unique and fun to walk through, but is not something I would choose to do every single time I go. I really enjoy the country gift shop. There are all kinds of goodies in there: pies, pumpkin rolls, cheese, cookie and pancake mixes, syrup and jellies, fudge, vegetables, cider and everything else guaranteed to make you reach into your wallet and buy! There are some cute decorations you can buy as well, though the main focus is food. There is a concession stand that serves food items like burgers, fries and hot dogs. It is spacious enough, even on busy days. The hay ride is really nice. There are 3 tractors running when it is not busy and 6 on the busy days so this farm knows how to push customers on through and keep everything flowing. The hayride is always different depending upon the patch they take you to. This year I got a 40 lb pumpkin for $ 17. It is beautiful, and so was the patch it came from– so many choices to pick from. I also went apple picking for the first time this year and loved it! You pay $ 12 for a peck(or can by a bushel) and get to pick from an assorted number of rows of apple trees. We had complete freedom to pick what we wanted and had a total blast doing it! There is no fee to do it, you just pay for the apples. I would recommend Triple B Farms to everyone who enjoys fall, food and everything else that comes with it! This is truly the best hayride, pumpkin patch and overall fall farm experience!

One of my favorite farms locally. They have the best pick your own festivals(strawberries, raspberries and blackberries, peaches, apples, pumpkins) and their store is fabulous. It is never over crowded(except for fall festival) and we always have a great visit. The kids love feeding the goats, taking a hayride, picking fruit and playing in the farm yard. Worth the drive for us.

Took my niece to the pumpkin patch festivities. Beautiful farm. Lots of things to do. Pumpkin and apple picking, mazes, goats, ducks, face painting, characters, slides… great place for kids to roam around and have stuff to look at as well as interact. To go through all the activities price is $ 12 for kids over 2 and $ 8 for adults. Could be steep for a family of five, but looking at all you can do, it’s probably a good deal. With all of the maintenance on the décor, I’m sure it’s priced appropriately. Food prices and merchandise is reasonable. Hayrides and apple picking is a la carte. I believe there is berry picking here as well, but my visit is in the fall so I don’t know much about it. Much more interactive and«local» as compared to Trax.

I love Triple B Farms! Now, I’ve only gone there for pumpkin season but it’s always great each year, it’s a tradition to go every year and pick our own pumpkins. They have a hayride to take you to the pumpkin patch, you can ride the tractor just to ride it, you don’t have to get off at the pumpkin patch. They have a really cute idea called pumpkin land where they use pumpkins to set up scenes from different Disney movies, tv shows, etc. Everything there is directed towards younger kids, there’s a lot of activities for them to do, you can feed animals, there’s a mild haunted house, crafts, a big slide, and a corn maze. They have a food and refreshment area with the basic hotdog, chili dog, hamburger, etc and then they have some different fall treats! They also have the cutest little country gift shop which sells decorations, desserts, spices, jams, produce, etc. I just love it there!

Apple picking was pretty good, although the selection was limited. Cost is by the size of bag you get. Alot of activites for the children, but they are very expensive. Face painting was a good deal though, I thought — i’m sure the booths vary by season. Otherwise there is a maze, slide, goat feeding, etc(pay). The market is cute as well — the kids enjoyed the caramel apples. Parking is plentiful, and there are porter potties and hand washing stations, which is nice. Plenty of seating at tables if you want to rest or eat.

This is a really nice place to spend outdoors while getting your fresh produce. They have a nice market where you can get a huge variety of things, from fresh vegetables to freshly made pies! There is also a perfect barn where you can see many animals. This is ideal for small kids to get to see animals in the nature and even feed them(feeding the goats is so much fun). There is also a nice little café/restaurant with nice sandwiches, which I suspect utilizes the fresh produce of the farm. Pull pork, meatball, chicken salad sandwiches and more delicious things. However, the best part of the whole experience is the fruit picking. Depending on the season there are different fruits that you can go and pick yourself; from the farm to your table! We have been to the apple picking in the fall and the strawberry picking in the summer and it is great! During the fall there is a huge selection of pumpkins for halloween as well which makes it extra fun, with a small horror house(it is not really scary as it is mainly made for small kids). All in all a great place to have some connection with nature and get your fresh produce!

This is a very lovely farm to go produce picking. We came during the Fall to pick Honey Crisp and Gala apples. The Honey Crisp apples are delicious. So sweet and crispy. The apples are fairly easy to pick and it’s great fun going through the rows of little Apple trees. The store itself is packed with different produce and products. They have packaged soups, jars of jams, cakes, breads, baked goods, spices, butter, meats, fudge, candy, fruits, vegetables etc. Everything looks home-made and delicious. Near the orchard they also have a goat farm. The baby goats are adorable and you can buy some feed for a quarter to feed them.

This is a nice fun little farm about 40 minutes outside of Pittsburgh to go apple picking and spend a few hours at. They have a variety of different kinds of apples to sample from, where you can purchase a peck or ½ bushel bag. Or… you can just get the bag and go picking in their orchard, which is lots of fun. Honeycrisp apples are amazing! If you have kids, you can get a wristband, which allows you to participate in a variety of activities: rope maze, petting zoo with lots of goats, giant slides, hay ride, etc… It seemed like there were lots of kids and they are all having fun. We also bought lunch here, and they have burgers and fries and reasonably priced for such a place. The funnel cake fries were very good and they have some outdoor seating. We also got some pumpkins to take home. There’s also a farm market where you can purchase lots of goods.

This family friendly farm has something for everyone. I don’t have children but my friends and I go out every year to the Berry Festival in early June and the Pumpkin Festival in October. Last year they added Pick your Own Apples. It is brilliant. Apples right off the tree and into your hands. There are a lot of activities for children, bounce houses and pony rides on the festival weekends and a playground and animals year round. Hay rides will take you out to the field to the fruit of the season. There is a food barn which sells both food with the major fruit as theme and also standards such as Pepperoni rolls and popcorn and even breakfast during the recent Berry Festival. It is prepackaged mostly but still tastly and well priced. The Farm store has a lot to offer. Filled with homemade jams, and compotes and salsas and syurps. Mixes for soups and breads and cobblers and all sorts of delcious foods. There is homemade baked good for sale as well as delicious fudge. An assortment of thier farms fruits and veggies and Amish meats, cheeses and butters. This is a lovely little farm, not too far outside of the city and well worth going to no matter what your age. We will be going back in a few weeks for Pick-your-Own Raspberries!
