Why did I even bother to attempt to get my prescription filled at this circus? Incompetent nasty employees!

There is really not a whole lot you can say about a local Walmart that unfortunately is not a super center. Say what you will about Walmart being an evil corporation, but one day, when I can afford to not rely on them to fend off the poorhouse for basic home necessities, I will move in to one of those fancy, ethically business sound places that help everyone involved. Until then, my need for mop heads, laundry detergent, and all things camo can only be satiated by the local Walmart. So what if you usually can’t find an employee to help, the most obnoxious people in the area frequent the store to make your shopping experience that much more memorable. And who doesn’t mind waiting in line to pay for three items at one of the 3 open registers when it seems like the store has 16 of them. Walmart continues to be the place where $ 2.97 goes a long way.

This place is an absolute hellhole, with some of the slowest and most inefficient customer service ever! There’s a stigma attached to most Walmart stores and their staff, and unfortunately for its customers this place truly embodies it.

I know it’s a Walmart, and you should expect a world of shit, but the trashiness of this location is legendary. I don’t think I’ve ever had a cashier not say a single word to me during an entire transaction — not to say hello, not to tell me how much my items cost, not to say have a nice day — but today, that came true. Those pre-Halloween cat ears aren’t cute, either, lady. Maybe if you didn’t have the personality of a leaking wart. Maybe you can at least tell me my total. It’s packing tape and some cans of tuna. Shouldn’t be too hard. The number that looks like a sideways butt is an ‘8’. Seriously, Walmart of Mohegan, get it together. Maybe medicate your asshole employees or something so they don’t spread their horrible days to the surrounding towns.

Employees dragging their feet to help anyone needing help. Then called manager and she has he same attitude. Waiting on line 45 minutes to return something. It’s been like this for years.

Unorganized store, unhelpful staff, and long lines. Would come here more often perhaps if it was a Super Walmart. For now, I’d rather pay a slightly higher price for a better shopping experience somewhere else.

Well my son happens to work here in the way he told me they treat him is absolutely disgusting their policies and privacy acts are just plain stupid I have lived two for two years and then going in there maybe 10 times it’s good they always have sales but no one never around to help you and if they do they look so I’m pleased to help you I like the one in Fiskill better but it’s such a long drive anyway that’s my opinion and I’m sticking to it.

Apparently I got lucky because I ran in the night before Thanksgiving expecting long lines and big crowds and instead the place was empty and the registers had no lines. I thought it was clean and well stocked so maybe they’ve improved since the other reviews were written? Or maybe it was my Christmas Miracle? ;-)

This place is a sty. Always messy with many, many empty shelves. It has been that way for a few years now. Occasionally I’ll find a manager and ask them why it is so messy. Their standard answer over the years has been : WE’REDOING A REMODEL. LOL!!! Too funny!!! They better hope that Target never opens a store in the area.

The few times I feel compelled to shop here have each reminded me how bad retail can be.

I cannot express how much I hate Walmart, as a store and as a corporation. Associates barely speak English and I need to be thankful I know enough Spanish to skate by. The employees are visably miserable and the store is always a train wreck. There’s always a long line down the aisle when they have only two or three registers open but other employees are just standing around, doing nothing in the store, away from the scary register and pissed off customers. Only reason I go here is for candy before going to the movies.

Meh. It’s Walmart. Not a super center one at that. This store is always a mess and the check out lines are ridiculous. We waited 10+ minutes on line… Not cool… Hire more cashiers Walmart, you are known in this country for being America’s #1 retailer!!!

As Wal-Marts go, Cortlandt is below average Too few check out staff, many out of stocks, and disorganized stock at times.

Terrible look inside, things are out of place and just look nasty. Being inside makes me feel like Apocalypse hit and that’s the only Walmart left with supplies. It’s dirty and clearly under staffed. Oh and forget getting useful help from the floor staff, they don’t understand what your saying. What a far fall from when it first opened. I’m not sure how they did it but they have successfully made electronics look unappealing. It’s almost like we are donating to this place with every purchase. Even the merchandise on the shelves were broken. Ugh, very disappointing.

Incompetent staff! Disorganized store! Lines are always long because they’re understaffed. I always get stuck in the«express» lane because the staff doesn’t care, so they let people with full carts check-out there and hold up the entire process. Very frustrating! Unfortunately, Walmart is a necessary evil because the prices on some things are too good to pass-up, but we avoid it as much as possible.

I used to love coming to this Walmart. But ever since their renovation, it has become horrible. Half the time their shelves are empty. They also do not have a refrigerator food section.

As far as Walmarts go, I suppose this is a pretty nice one. I’ve never seen anything remotely worthy of taking a photo of to submit to , and I’m guessing that’s because it’s in Westchester. But still, it is Walmart. And this place, though recently renovated and changed around into something that I’m assuming is supposed to mimic classy non-Walmart shopping, can be really disorganized and dirty and overwhelming. I don’t like coming here when I am home with my parents, but sometimes it’s the most convenient thing.

What can I say? It’s a Walmart. They have cheap stuff and lots of it. They don’t hassle you if you have a return, but don’t expect expert help from employees either. It’s in a convenient location, and it’s open till midnight, so it’s easy to spend your hard earned money here. You can buy everything from batteries to bagels, baby clothes to hunting gear. A true shopping Mecca.
