Very attentive and helpful staff. Took the time to fit me and lace me up. When the boot I was looking for was not in stock, they ordered and will deliver directly to me. They went over the differences between the boots I was interested in so I could make an educated choice. Highly recommended.

Been going to Rugged for well over 13 years and can honestly say never had a problem. Only place I go to get my Red Wing work boots. They accurately measure your feet and place you in the right kind of boot or shoe depending on your work environment. Owner and staff are professional, kind and courteous to their customers and never sell you something you don’t need. Rugged boot my go to place for my work boots and my wife gets her clogs there as well.

Horrible!!! I gave it a star only because I was able to find the location without any trouble, but that’s it. I literally just drove an hour to look for some boots for my husband. We were told about this place through some random stranger at Dicks sporting goods. He mentioned that their boots were built tough although very pricey ($ 200+) we figured it would be well worth it as long as they lived up to the price. So I show up and my husband goes directly to the boots and I linger in the back and just look at some stuff. At this point I can see that there are only two staff members and one of them is helping a client. So as i stand around for acknowledgement the second worker walks right pass me as I smile and say «hello». He looks towards me and says excuse me and proceeds to go into back storage room. I meet up with my husband who also hasn’t received any acknowledgement and picks up a $ 200 boot. He finally found the boot the guy at Dicks told him about! The first employee walks towards us and clearly notices that we are looking for boots and just says «excuse me», but it’s only to have me move out of the way so she could reach some boot moisturizer. Long story short after 10 mins or so we walk out!!! Unnoticed, just as we did when we came in. True shame. My husband was looking to refer some fellow co workers to check this place out had we gotten some good help.

Staff took plenty if time to fit both my mother and myself. We are leaving with spring and summer shoes and socks. Prices within the correct range for Dansco. We will be back for walking shoes soon!

I’ve bought shoes and sneakers here before, and have always been satisfied with their service and quality, but my last trip to Rugged Boot was disappointing. It seemed to me that their inventory was low — only one kind of women’s Merrells was shown — and I left without even trying on anything. Maybe their Spring shoes hadn’t come in yet.

There is no other shoe store that I know where if they don’t have it, they will –happily — order it for you. The experience here is quite different from your typical mall store. Whether it is sneakers, socks for hunting or the Giant game, or boots for work & outdoor, this is your place.
They also carry formal shoes and a line of shoes for those who spend all day on their feet in the classroom, kitchen and so on
