Mr Pickles

Great great sandwich. And this place is a chain? Wow. It’s so nice to have various bread options and I’m not talking about just different color bread neither!!! I asked for a French roll, and they had if! Bam.
I went with the Italian on the French roll with everything. Figured I’d see what they had and it was delicious.
Enough said. Mental note… the next time I’m driving «through» Modesto, I’m grabbing me a pickle… a Mr Pickle that is. :).

I’m not from the area, but my boyfriend and I were craving sandwiches so we decided to check this place out. I am so glad we did because their sandwiches are amazing and their staff was super friendly. I decided to build my own sandwich and I tried their Dutch Crunch Roll and it was amazing. The Dutch Crunch Roll is crunchy on the outside, but so soft on the inside. I went with an avocado and cheese sandwich with everything on it and it paired so well with the crunch roll. My boyfriend went with the Mr. Pickle sandwich, which has Chicken Breast, Bacon, Avocado, Melted Monterey Jack. We also ordered pickles, chips, and a drink. You also get a free pickle with each sandwich purchase. This place is located inside of a parking lot, which has more than enough parking. Definitely check this gem out if you’re in the area, you won’t be upset.

Just finished a state cup soccer game and team was looking for something hardy to eat. Mr. Pickles was the right call. Fresh avocado and tomatoes and all sandwiches on menu can be put on a bed of lettuce instead bread. The Tuna tuna was the perfect size.

I asked if there were any gluten free bread or wrap options and she replied with «ummmm I don’t think so «she didn’t even attempt to ask a co worker if she wasn’t fully informed about what they provided. Of course then I had a salad which was okay. I am a huge fan of me pickles. Just not this location.

the guy making the sandwich was friendly and nice. I got Bmw melt and tastes good. I got dirty bbq chips and this girl that seemed to be the manager didn’t let me change it. It was way to salty and I didn’t like it., she said u can buy another one, in a rude way. I said no thank u. I ate it hating it. Since I paid but here is the thing, I could have been a regular here since I work close by, but now that I see my requested over a .50 cent bag of chips that they pay for wasn’t a big deal I won’t come back. I could have spend over 1000 $ for the year or whatever but a bag of .50 cent change that. It’s that simple of how a customer can be turned away. If a customer is not satisfied with his purchase then fix it, or refund it, don’t try to sell more. That’s why u getting a 1 start cause I see how not important u treat me. It was my first time and last time here. Unless I hear something from them.

Can’t say enough good things about this place. Excellent food and friendly service. They’ve known my name throughout constant staff changes and always make me feel welcome. Just wish the place was bigger and more comfortable to hang out and relax during my lunch hour. I’ve had a lot of bad lunches lately and have decided to let the world know through Unilocal.Mr. Pickles has never disappointed!

I love Mr. Pickles. This location is a little scary if your by your self with a child. Plenty of homeless hanging out and walking out you can smell the urine.
The employee’s are super helpful and amazing. I had a coupon for buy one get one free but my 3 year old wanted a kids meal. They couldn’t give me a kids meal with the coupon but they honored the coupon with the sandwich she wanted and also gave her a capri sun, and a cookie. The cashier told me that with the coupon it would be cheaper instead of me purchasing the child’s meal and my sandwich. So I applaud her for doing the math and helping this Mama out with saving money. I just think next time we want to come to this location I will bring my Husband.

I seriously love this Mr. Pickles! The salads are super delicious! My favorite is the chicken salad salad or sandwich! It’s sooooo good! The staff is always welcoming and are super quick to get my order done. I definitely recommend!

This shop is hands down the best sandwich shop I’ve found in Modesto.
The manager Shelby is always kind and welcoming.
I definitely recommend trying out the #2 with extra, extra sauerkraut!

I work close by and there is not many choices but I wouldn’t care if they launched a full food court in the old save mart these. People are awesome and they have a customer for life! I come in there enough they pretty much know my order, polite, friendly, and never get my order wrong! Thank you for making lunch time fun time!

The worst Mr. pickles I’ve ever been to!!! I frequent Mr. pickles all the time for a quick lunch. I usually love their sandwiches. This is the second time I’ve tried this one, both times with horrible results. There bread was super stale and it seems like all the ingredients are subpar. Their staff also seems extremely incompetent. After horrible service and food we asked to speak with the manager and she was the rudest lady we had ever met. I will never go to the H street location again…

Great sandwiches! If you are not into the rolls that most subs come on try thier sliced wheat. Way better in my opinion. Great customer service as well! Remembered who I was after a good deal of time between visits!

Very angry with thier service. I ordered two sandwhiches and told the girl 3 times no onions on both sandwhiches. I went all the way home and my sandwich had onions in it. I went back and talked to a blonde about it and she told me the other sandwhich didn’t have onions. Instead of making me a new sandwhich they just took the onions off. I could have done that myself! I didn’t even eat it cause there was still pieces of onion inside and I could taste it. Horrible service. They made it seem like I wasn’t clear about what I wanted which is a lie because I’m pregnant and I knew exactly what I wanted. I will be calling to talk to a manager about it.

I have ordered several sandwiches in the past couple of months and am not impressed. The bread that they use seemed stale on a couple of visits. Anyway, that’s it for me. Back to Togo’s or Scott’s Subs.
NOTE: They don’t consider the noise that they create for their neighbor, Starbucks as they close up. I work downtown and sometimes get a coffee drink next door. Almost daily during the work week at 4pm they turn their music up very loud with heavy bass while they clean up. This lasts for about an hour. Very annoying…
COME ON PICKLE! VERY RUDE TO INTRUDE… we don’t wanna hear extra loud, loud bass while visiting next door enjoying our java. And make a better sandwich.

I will never eat here again! I have never had 3 different employees try and convince me that I don’t know how to order my sandwich, and then proceed to treat me like an idiot just because I wanted and extra order of ham on my sandwich. Worst customer service, worst sandwich service!

This store is SO amazing!
My husband’s Chiropractic office is by 5 points, so we make it in to Mr. Pickles probably once a month because it’s conveniently located.
You can’t believe the customer service!!! When you walk in, whether or not the line is out the door, you get greeted by several staff members with a cheerful… is it «welcome!»? I think so! And I feel welcome!
The smell is the yummy wafting smell of good ingredients. And even if the line is out the door, these folks are FAST!
At the counter, two friendly ladies are making sandwiches. Sometimes mid-​sandwich for the guy in front of us, they take our order. «I’d like a very veggie in a spinach tortilla, with everything, Doc would like an Italian Stallion, no mustard on a crunch roll» and they ALWAYS get it right!
Who has time to ask you how your day is at a pace like that? But they do it anyway, and with genuine sincerity!
Then you get to the cashier, who I think I’d hire away from them if I had a place to! He’s friendly every time, we never see him make a mistake, he hustles like he’s putting out a fire, and he takes care of our every need!
The place always looks clean. Don’t you hate going to a restaurant where they can’t even bother to clean the tables??? Me too! And with this place, I’d give ‘em grace for being so busy. How would they make the time? But they do! The get the baskets, throw away the trash, and wipe the tables. They make us feel important!
Love this place!

The customer service at this location is the best! Mr Pickles always has great sandwiches, it’s the customer service that sets this one apart! Thanks for a great lunch!

The first time I had Mr. Pickles, I was in Oakdale and it was super good! They have a bunch of locations in this area for some reason. Even though there is one in Campbell is sort of out of the way.
Mr. Pickles is a really good sandwich shop! It is a little pricey but their sandwiches are so bomb! This time I had a tom turkey which came with turkey, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, bacon, mustard, mayo, pickles, peppercines (YUM!) and their garlic paste or something like that. I like that they toasted the dutch crunch which made my sandwich a little warm and added texture with a little crrrunch!
They have a bunch of different sandwiches and a lot of bread selections. Their special was a pulled pork sandwich, which the bf got but I didn’t bother to taste it since he said it tasted microwaved. It is a bit strange that they don’t give out pickles since they are called Mr. Pickles and I looked and tasted their pickles separately and it was pretty much your average pickle. Although they don’t give out pickles, they do give out a free cookie with every sandwich you buy and the cookies were pretty good!
For three sandwiches, a bottle of soda and two bags of chips it cost about thirty bucks. Is it worth the price, yes!
