Went there a while back with my family to get some books for my 10 year old daughter who is learning how to play piano. One member of the staff there(an older 60-ish looking man) I took note of how upon after seeing my other 5 year old daughter he immediately closed and locked the pianos up. Sure, my 5 year old gently(emphasis on gently) pressed some of the keys just to hear the notes… so what! My kids were well disciplined in the store; I was watching them; I’m not going to let them tear the merchandise up and if they did I would have paid for it! Yet this joker acted like she was running amuck and beating the keys to death with a hammer or something! They didn’t do this at other music shops I’ve been to. I cant understand why merchants do this especially when I’m a paying customer! Not to mention the fact that the the internet is eating most of them alive! If my kids had been running wild that would have been a different story. His actions just sent the wrong message to me. How do you think my 10 year old became interested in playing piano? Just playing around with one and watching others play when she was younger just like my 5 year old was doing that day. Apart from that what if an out of control car come accidentally crashing through the windows and took out 3 or 4 pianos… doesn’t Andy’s have insurance!?? I will soon be in the market for an electronic piano/keyboard but sorry Andy’s, I wont be buying it from you after that guy pulled this little stunt!
