There should be one of these in Houston, there should be sonnets & hymns dedicated to Doña Tota. I’d seriously marry every lady here. There should be a swimsuit calendar ‘The Women of Doña Tota’ … Too far?.. Too far. Whatever I’m ordering another 8.

The food is as good as it gets for Gorditas however the prices are high for what you get. Expect to pay close to $ 10 per person to be satisfied including drink. A bit high for corn masa with a guisado filling. Each gordita runs about $ 2 to $ 2.50 and doesn’t fill you up much. Maybe 3″ in diameter. I could eat it in one or two bites. They do offer a combo but you can only choose certain filling such as beans or picadillo. The fideo is excellent.

I came in with a smile, the ladies greeted me with a frown and an attitude. I wouldn’t have cared, but they refused to make chorizo and papas for my gorditas. I sadly settled for picadillo ones. Mediocre. I got dessert, and it wasn’t good either. La Lechera made up for it. Never again!!!

The gorditas may be amazing and I do love them but the restaurant is always super dirty. Always. The tables are always a mess and so is the floor. I mentioned it to thw cashier and she didn’t like my comment. I’m sorry but it’s true.

Wonderful, freshly made to order gorditas. Seating is a little limited, so i usually take mine home. If you’ve ordered a few gorditas, keep in mind that they are made to order so its not going to be as quick as a burger joint. Watching the ladies make the gorditas is amazing!

All food is made in-house and tastes so fresh and flavorful. The menu is primarily in Spanish, so you should know what chicken pibil or chicharrone is… Also, I’d recommend getting the corn gordita instead of flour, but if you’re set on flour, it’s good too — both hand made, on the premises… so good! And… don’t forget the ‘diablo sauce’ — it’s a kicker!
