Horrible management, bad business. I had a larger garage door put on and didn’t mind paying the extra money for the better product but the service was bad. The initial tech left a huge gap on one side, a box of old hardware and many bolts and screws all over the garage floor just waiting to get run over. I still find them to this day. One wall was chipped at with a chisel or screwdriver and drywall chunks and dust left to sit as well. The second tech sent over to fix it was great actually, he fixed everything and was professional. Management however would never return my calls and so I resorted to the Better Business Bureau. Which, by the way, this franchise has a C rating. I had to take off work twice for the door to be fixed around THEIR schedule. They played the lie game with the BBB stating they have techs available 24⁄7 and such and I am not entitled to any refund for cleaning up my garage after their first tech. This is a lie, I called them and spoke to an operator that informed me they were closed until the following day. It would be best to stay away from this franchise at all costs, go with a local guy or a place with better business ethics.

Easy to make an appt, prompt and professional service, fixed the broken cable. Chris was great — would definitely call Precision Door again. Price seemed reasonable to us — given we had no idea how to fix it.

Called them to see if my faulty garage door could be repaired, they showed up early, looked at my opener for ten minutes and charged me $ 90 labor and a $ 29.95 service fee. When asked the actual cost of repair, the«technician» had no idea and had to look in some book. After looking in his book he’s gave two overpriced quotes, so needless to say I did not continue with this company. To top it all off, when I went back to the website to see if I missed some fine print saying that I was going to get robbed for $ 130, there was a review from me that I did not fill out giving them 4 stars. So if you want to pay someone $ 130 to come out and tell you that your broken garage opener is broke, then fill out a review for you and post it on their website, these are the folks for you.

I needed my springs replaced since one broke. I had this exact same service done a few years ago for about $ 240. I called Precision and was told they could come the next day. When I asked for the cost to replace both springs, the girl said it would be $ 100-$ 150 for each spring plus $ 30 for the service call. Combined with a coupon on the website that says the 2nd spring is half price, that means my cost would have been at the MOST $ 255 assuming I needed the most expensive springs. When the tech arrived, he quoted me 3 different prices starting at $ 388. When I questioned it, he said he could do it for $ 288. Since he was already there, I had him do it. The website says: «Precision’s Green Powder Coated Springs proved to be 100% resistant to corrosion.» «Precision installs a weather resistant powder coated spring to prevent corrosion and friction.» «We believe in our springs, so we put our name on them and we back them up with the industry’s best warranty.» «This is why we can put Lifetime Guarantee on our springs for as long as you live in your home!» «We’re so confident that our springs won’t need replacing, if by chance one DOES break, our name is on the springs to remind you to call us to replace it for free!» Once he was finished, he tells me the springs are no longer powder coated and there is only a 30 day warranty. The springs installed on my door are also two different lengths. I’d love to hear more details as to all of the discrepancies between what we’re told on the phone and on the website vs. reality. __________________________________________________________ I submitted this exact review to their site but even though more recent(higher rated) reviews have been published, mine has not. I wonder how many other more critical reviews have gone missing. That would make their«average rating» deceptive and useless. Because of that, my review moves from 3 stars to just two…
