Lived here for almost 2 years and overall it was ok. Most of the issues are the same as other residents have posted. Lack of parking was one of the biggest. Overall, I would have given IMT4 stars but the office staff is just horrible. I moved out over 2 months ago and they still owe me part of the security deposit. They originally sent the refund within the 30 days required but over charged the utility portion by more than $ 100. It took two more weeks just to get the correct amount agreed upon, and now its been two MORE weeks and I still do not have the money they owe me. Lackluster customer service seems to be a theme in the office and I am sure it will continue if anyone decides to move in there. I hate that it has to come to this, but maybe now they will send me the money they owe.

I was told because I am in the military, that I get half off of my security deposit which is $ 250.00 off, not the case. When I went to inquire about becoming a resident at IMT Miramar Apartments, I was told by one of the employees by the name of Nicki, that because I am in the military $ 250.00 would be take off my security deposit, among other discounts, which I thought was a great offer, and I immediately began the process of becoming a resident. After giving all required information needed to become a resident, I received a welcome letter via email stating the total required to move in, which totalled $ 1872.15, which $ 1645.00 was my monthly rent amount, the remaining amout to total $ 1872.15 was from gate key, renters insurance, some prorated fees etc., and was told this amount was all I had to pay based on the information I provided. I had to pay this amount a week prior to my move in date which was November 28, 2015. I came in November 25, 2015 with a money order of $ 2000.00 to make my payment and was told the remaining amount/credit would be posted to my next months bill. I later inquired about a storage which is $ 35.00 a month, and advised IMT Miramar Apartments to take it from the left over amount from my $ 2000.00 money that went towards my $ 1872.15 move in amount. I then received an email showing the amount of my next month rent which totalled well over $ 1800.00, after seeing that email I immediately contacted the main office and spoke with Nicky, I asked her why was my January rent so high when there should have been a small credit on my account from the $ 2000.00 money order I gave November 25, 2015 in which she also acknowledged, and verified that there will be a credit on my account, but when I asked her why is it showing almost $ 1900, she stated it was because of a additional $ 250.00 security deposit, that came back on my credit, when I advised Nicky of how is this possible when I was told upon getting signed up that I was given $ 250.00 and was NEVER told«but if your credit history comes back a certain way you will have to pay the additional $ 250.00», no I was NEVERTOLDTHAT, because I am in the military even making a copy of my military identification card, all I would pay for my security deposit was $ 250.00, this is completely unfair, and very misleading. My welcome letter showed $ 1872.15 and that’s what I paid, I later had to resigned another welcome BUTONLY, to reflect the $ 35.00 storage fee, and the manager Jessica refuse to honor what I was originally told by Nicky, Jessica stated that Nicky made a mistake, but why should I be punished for Nicky’s mistake, and I came to them as to why is my January bill so high, NOONE ever called to tell me because of my credit I have to pay an additional $ 250.00, NOONE never called to say that, this is wrong on so many levels, and for the manager not to even try to work something out with me is utter ridiculous, unfair and unjust, and I demand a refund of $ 250.00 and a apology. You say you honor me because I’m Military, but you turn around and say no we don’t honor you, I’m very offended and highly upset.

I have a sister who lives there and from the very beginning, she’s had issues with management. Management does not know how to communicate with their tenants in a timely matter and their quality of service is poor. Her neighbors have complained about management as well, and the maintenance people have been known to go into apartments and steal. Just a crappy community. Anyone considering moving there, ask about management. They don’t have a good reputation.

I had a very pleasant experience. Mary and Alberto are very knowledgeable and helpful. I would most definitely recommend this community.
