My wife and I were visiting from San Bernardino California area and I am very happy to see that this restaurant along with good food also has armed employees who risk their lives to protect. I wish all businesses would take the terrorism threat seriously and do the same. Maybe they should pay employees who carry a little extra. We love the fried Tilapia and Catfish Fillets with the sides, and are looking forward to ordering their King Crab legs and Hush Puppies. We will go out of our way to give them our business again the next time we are in the area.

This place really amazed me when I saw the variety of seafood they carry. Especially when I saw They sell King Crab legs! I was sold! I gotta say for $ 18.99 a lb. It was a heck of a deal for the amount of meat you get in each of those legs! Now that garlic butter they season them with was absolutely amazing, not too salty but just right! Definitely will be a place to visit more often whenever I’m in the mood for the some good king crab without having to break your wallet at a high end restaurant that will cost you triple the price and probably not taste as good. Now if you are a super ficial, very plastic and refined person you will most likely not like to come here since its not the prettiest place but most great foods come from places like this that focus on taste of their food and not ambience. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and want to eat some delicious fried food or stuff yourself with yummy crabs! Just a small Warning, there is no where to wash your hands incase you eat inside the place since its mainly for take out. Hands up for this local Miramar restaurant

Today there was obviously a problem with the cook. I ordered conch fritters that were overcooked and grouper fish that was undercooked. I have been a customer for a long time but today was my last time. The fish was practically raw underneath the golden brown breading. I called and told them about it. I hope they do better. Extremely disappointed.

Captain Max on 441 Miramar 7÷17÷15 Parking is adequate, but caution, you have to walk across drive thru lane. Décor bleek,
No Music, daytime drama shows & TV news, /​Florescent Lighting, couple of cramp hard tables & chairs. Whole place needs painting, bathrooms & doors need painting, NOT hole in wall charm, dirty unorganized mess, kitchen equipment & supplies stacked in hallway floors.
The Food: What a disappointment today — I have eaten here before & had decent fried tilapia fish & garlic crabs, I would like to try them again & hope, if it was a fluke today, but would go back to trying only the fried tilapia filets or garlic crabs.
Ordered # 2 combo /​Grouper w/​shrimp — one to eat in, one to go —
First thing I notice the fries have changed, from medium size meaty fry to a smaller weird fake yellow looking stiff no real potato meat thing? The fish in both boxes made a separate times per request was, way over fried, w/​too much batter that was hard & stuck to the fish or flaking off in burnt hard pieces. The meaty texture of the fish was oily & not white, but off color of brown! No Fresh lemons, & Hot Sauce, Ketchup, Tarter Sauce– prepackaged, very low grade Restaurant Depot Institutionalized brands.
Tried to eat one & threw away other in trash totally inedible. Look at the menu boards, qty of items you get, keeps going down & opposite the prices keep going up — & quality dropping fast !!!

Came for shrimp and was amazed by tremendous fried chicken!!! Food was very fresh and wait was not too bad… I’ll be back

The food great the girls at drive thru pretty nice .food nice and hot big portions always enough to share with someone else .i love the crab cake at first I was a little skeptical about it because is only a $ 1.99 but it’s so DELICIOUS AND good unbelievable. THE WAIT It’s long wait GOOD FOOD TAKES A LONG TIME TRUTH BE TOLD I WOULD RATHER GO THERE SPEND MY $$ at CAPTAIN MAX THEN PrinceWHATTHEYCALL IT ON 441 NEVER AGAIN. shrimp good you gotta to try CRAB SAMPLER GARLIC CRAB DELICIOUS

I adore this place! The food is so good. I stop by here every time I’m in town, and its worth it. I recommend the wings and fried conch (it is delicious), the corn fritters aren’t bad either. Do not let the exterior fool you, this is the spot!

Dont let the drive thru fool you. The wait might be 5 minutes but you’re getting fresh made food and nice big portions. Go for a combo meal the #1 is my fav I can never eat it all.
