Awesome fish tacos, great pico and guacamole! All homemade. A neat place on the backside of the village of the Baytowne Wharf. With a Walk up window you won’t pay and arm and a leg like all the sit down restaurants. There are tables to sit and enjoy. Under new management.

The tortilla was stale and cold, and the food inside the tortilla was also cold. The fish was lukewarm. They were out of some of the ingredients that were promised as a part of the meal on the menu, and until we were served our food we were not notified of their absence. The flavor was bland and actually unpleasant. Very little steak in the steak taco. The fish taco was indistinguishable from the chicken taco. The service was very slow and the food was certainly not worth the wait when it finally arrived. Steer clear!

After staying in the Baytowne Wharf area of Sandestin for the week, we stumbled upon this little shack in the heart of the village. There is nothing fancy about the place, a simple walk up window where you order food and some tables on a deck shared with the sno-cone place. I was starved so decided to try their so called«world’s best» fish tacos. I kind of joked with the owner that is quite a lot to live up to, but he said that was kind of what they’re known for. He also recommended the caribbean rice to go along with it. The food was made promptly and looked delicious. Instead of the usual batter fried fish taco, this was a marinated and perfectly seasoned fish taco. The other toppings were your traditional fish taco ingredients such as cilantro, sauce, cabbage, etc… After one bite, I was sold. The fish was perfectly grilled and tasted great. Actually, after my wife and son tried it, they proceeded to start eating my food. My son is actually only 4 years old and loved it… shocker. Anyways, I had to order myself three more to make sure I actually was fed. The rice was a perfect accompaniment to the taco. It was long grain with peppers mixed in and topped with a salsa. I highly recommend this little shack for a quality, quick and budget friendly meal in the middle of tourist paradise.
