The food here is just plain shit. Would not recommend. Biscuits and gravy are straight from the microwave and the pancakes taste like plastic

Absolutely love this place, and they really do have the best steak tacos ever! Just wish they didn’t close so early! They close at 3:00 every day, used to be open all day. You should try at least once, a great little hole in the wall.

Absolutely horrible! Sign says seat yourself, which we did. Waited for ten minutes before waitress even acknowledged us. People who walked in for carry out were waited on before us. Waitress wore a pair of old pair of jeans that were cut off to make shorts out of. Food was horrible! If I had a dog I wouldn’t even bring home the leftovers! Waitress must have been in a hurry to get off work! She brings the bill with her purse flung over her shoulder as she walks out of the front door. States owner will take care of you now! Owner immediately starts vacuuming the floor(nice dinner music)-place is not clean! Will not ever be going back there again! EVER!!! My advice skip this place!!!

Love Ruby’s! You can have salads, wraps, soups, sandwiches or meals all in this place around the corner. It’s not real pricey and you get a nice serving. The place is hopping all weekend.

This is one of the only places I found in Minooka that served Mexican food. It was good. Tried the pork carnitas dinner. The carnitas were very good. Rice and beans were par. Had Chorizo and eggs for breakfast. It’s like bacon, you can’t go wrong with chorizo.

By far the best burrito within 20min of minooka! I grew up on El Famous, and rubys comes pretty close. And if your in the mood for breakfast, rubys is BYFAR better then Gramas. The Chilaquiles are a must try, they are on the spicy side but super good!

I love this place! Their burritos are amazing. The chili relleno burrito is definitely my favorite, they put mini stuffed chili all throughout the burrito, it is absolutely amazing. I don’t care for their hot sauce but I always have my own. Convenient parking and affordable prices! This is definitely the best burrito place in the area! I also just went there for breakfast and it was super yummy. I had their stuffed french toast with strawberries and bananas, eggs hash browns, and bacon and everything was just really really good! Happy to have an awesome burrito and breakfast place so close to home! Much better than your typical Ihop!

My wife and I went here for Sunday breakfast. The restaurant was clean, service was fast and friendly, and the coffee was good. We both loved the pancakes and the chilaquiles. I ordered the Minooka omelette because I really like chorizo with cheese and eggs but it was disappointing. It was surprisingly bland. We will definitely be back though. Ruby’s has a huge menu and they clearly do some things very well. Get the chilaquiles with green sauce — they’re delicious!

This is the best place to eat in the area. You might think to pass it up at first because of the odd name or location. But the food is delicious, there is variety, service is quick, and they’ll remember your order and treat you like family. Tony and Laura are terrific. The hardshell steak tacos are my family’s favorite, and for breakfast go with the hashbrowns and bacon. The portions are big and the price is right! We have some allergies, and they make anything to order. The only reason I didn’t give five stars is because they are no longer open evenings.

This place was rough. I ordered the burrito and had no prior knowledge or experience with this place. I just wanted to try something new and was in the mood for a unhealthy burrito. I think a lot of places rush with a burrito and think we need it fast. I would rather they take the extra two minutes to put it together properly. That being said, the cold stuff in the burrito was really cold and the cheese wasn’t melted. It was just a bunch of cold cheese. I think a extra couple of minutes would have made this burrito a way better experience. regarding the pickled carrots. You need to take the skins off. Then you pickle with the skin on it make the skin touch.

The wife and I used to drive an 18 wheeler back and forth from California to New Jersey. Coming through Minooka, we would park our truck at the Pilot Truck Stop to shower and after, we would walk to Ruby’s for some good Mexican food. When I say good I mean really good. It reminded us of the Mexican food at home. Very friendly staff too.

This is one of those places that I often ignore for some reason. There was nothing to eat in the house, had to work the third shift later, was seeking a quick bite, and didn’t want to go out of town. Chicken enchiladas were pretty solid, I liked the red and green hot sauces as it tasted homemade than anything off the grocery shelf. They also make a great milanesa(breaded steak) torta with avacado, lettuce, refried beans, and sour cream. Prices were affordable as well! Credit cards accepted $ 10+

We don’t eat out as much anymore but since it was Father’s day my husband and I decided to have breakfast out. So it has been a couple months since we have been here for breakfast. The food was as great as ever. What I couldn’t believe is that the waitress knew what we wanted. She said to my husband are you going with this or that. He always orders one or the other. I thought it was awesome she remembered. It makes you feel good. I highly recommend Ruby’s, great food, awesome friendly service.

Two kinds of home made hot sauce. Burgers are fresh. Enough said. If in Minooka, stop by.

This is a regular breakfast spot for us. They have a very wide variety of breakfast items, and they are consistently good, with consistently good service. Their skillet breakfasts and pancake breakfasts are especially top notch.
