Melissa is phenomenal! Hands down the most talented hair stylist/color expert I have had the pleasure to meet. I continually leave 100% satisfied.

The past few times I’ve gotten my hair done I’ve gone to Kori! The last time I got it cut I did a pretty big chop, it was even long enough to donate to Locks of Love! Needless to say I hadn’t cut my hair in a long time and was very nervous to being going so short. I expressed this to Kori and she made me feel more comfortable with the process. In the end I got a cut that I loved and I’m glad I finally got the guts to do it! I definitely recommend this salon, especially Kori! I plan on going back to her whenever I come home to the Twin Cities.

Just moved to Minneapolis area… tried New Reflections for a basic hair cut. Sarah E did a great job. I was surprised to learn that scalp and hand massage is part of the hair cut price which was a pretty cool surprise. It looked like a well run place… that certainly smelled good. I’ll be going back.

My first experience since moving to Minneapolis — and it was great. I’m used to having my hair done professionally in San Juan, New York and Miami and the service I got today can compare favorably to any of the great pro’s in any of those cities. My stylist was Neil Berkeley and I will definitely be back for follow up hair cuts and treatments. I had a Brazilian Blowout done and a cut. My hair looks and feels great. I have gone naturally grey and so I’m a bit cautious as to who cares for my locks. I can safely say I have met a stylist and a salon that I feel comfortable with. Recommended!

I am actually a chemical technician(hair colorist) and cosmetologist licensed in IL and MN. I know my hair. When I moved from Chicago, I had awful experiences at several high end salons… Then I found Kori… KORI is a god send. She is absolutely amazing! I trust her 100% completely and she has the best personality. I always look forward to my appointments with her. My boyfriend sees her as well and she does AMAZING with his difficult hair. Give her a shot– you will NOT be disappointed! She is worth every single penny and more!(Always remember, you get what you pay for! And quality hair style and color is always worth the investment!)

Most folks I know are incredibly loyal to their stylist or even the salon they choose. I’ve been going to very expensive salons for the past 6 years just due to the fact that it’s an intermittent experience that I really enjoy. A bit before NYE I decided to chop off a majority of my hair on a whim. I had a basic idea in mind and when I called my trusty salon they were well booked up. I should’ve realized. Alas, I walked into New Reflections expecting the same result. However, I was introduced to the fabulous team there including Casey. She did a phenomenal job listening to my vagueries and creating a new look that is the best style and cut I’ve ever had. She took her time and gave me an amazing head and hand massage. She was authentic and comfortable and I’ve been telling all my friends to go go go! Love this salon, the team, and Casey! Love the Aveda products and you can choose a financially perfect stylist as well.

If you value your eyebrows at all, avoid this place at all costs. I work close to Ridgedale and needed to stop there for something. I also needed to do something about the bushy caterpillars above my eyes, so I stopped in to New Reflections thinking that although I’d never been to this salon, Aveda salons are generally legit and a brow wax is not that difficult of a thing. I didn’t want them reshaped, just cleaned up a little. I’ve been getting my brows waxed, on average, 4 – 6 times per year for the past 20 years, without incident. Nbd, right? Wrong. When I was introduced to the esthetician, my gut instinct said«run!!!». She had HORRIBLE eyebrows. But I didn’t run, because I’m an idiot, and figured that maybe her brows were so jacked because it’s harder to do your own than another person’s or something. She asked what I wanted done, and I told her to just clean them up around the edges and trim a little where needed. She then became completely silent, as though she was concentrating hard, which made me feel more uneasy. As I felt tiny bits of wax being applied here and there, and felt hairs being plucked from spots I’d never felt hairs be plucked from before, my feeling of unease began to grow stronger. I began to suspect, in horror, that this person had no idea what the eff they are doing. When she held up the mirror to my face, my suspicions were confirmed: the ends of my eyebrows were totally gone, there were patches of hair missing from each brow, and they were two completely different shapes. One of them looked like a deformed sperm. My full, beautiful brows had been reduced to what I refer to as «meth brows.» I started to cry. She asked what was wrong, and I said, «um, my brows are gone… they’re like, gone. They are supposed to extend to here, and you took the ends completely off.» She tried to say that those hairs weren’t actually part of my eyebrows, but were just«stray hairs.» I was then whisked up front to speak with the manager, as I tried to pull myself together and not make a huge scene. The manager was very nice, and said of course I would not be charged for the visit. She offered to have another esthetician show me how to fill my brows in with pencil, but I declined. I KNOW how to fill them in, but drawing them on, where there is no hair at all? Like a chola? That is NOTTHELOOK. Now whenever I look in the mirror, I just feel pissed. I wonder if the ends of my brows, and the bare patches throughout, will ever grow back. Waxing damages the hair follicle, so there’s definitely the possibility that they won’t. And that makes me sad all day.

I needed an emergency bang trim and this was the closest salon that was open on a Sunday. The women who greeted me were incredibly warm and welcoming, offered to take my coat, and listened to me as I ranted about my hair crisis. I walked in and right away a stylist was there to help me, even though the salon seemed pretty crowded. Megan did an amazing job trimming my bangs and I would definitely go back to her again!

I had a hair cut and dye on oct 26. Broke out with an itchy scalp, blisters, plus rash on neck, etc. Stylist had dyed my hair without testing formula. Refunded dye only. Still recovering after doctor visit and 2 prescriptions. Manager of studio and GM not returning my calls. Asked for Diane Weller’s(President/Owner/Founder) email address and told she’s not an employee. Frustrating! The store manager returned my call in the middle of nov. On 12/6, i received a refund for the haircut to cover dr and prescription fees. Shared this story so others may avoid this bad experience.

I called in last minute for a haircut. They’re not very busy, mostly because it’s inside the mall probably, but I still had a great experience! They massage your neck, scalp and hands. Total zen I asked for a pretty simple cut and Kori did a great job! The receptionist was a bitchy twat but it didn’t effect my time there one bit. Also, they always have deals going on. Today’s was haircut free with any color!

Ever been to one of those Blow Dry Bar’s that are popping up around the City? Well, if you want a good Blow Out — THIS is the place, head and shoulders above the Blow Dry Bar I went to. First you get a neck and shoulder massage with Aveda’s Blue Oil, then a very relaxing yet invigorating shampoo, in a dimly lit, very inviting, area. I’d forgotten I was in the mall. Then comes the conditioner. But wait, it keeps getting better, a hot towel goes on the conditioner, so you need to relax for a few minutes, and that time is filled with a hand massage! I was so very impressed and happy with my service, and then I got to the register. Guess what? It was only $ 25!!! I walked out of there with great hair and feeling great about the experience.

BLECK! This is a long story. I’m shortening it. **The service here is on a more experience=higher cost scale. I got the second highest experienced person in the salon. A blonde gal about my age. Had the receptionist type in that I wanted a big change with my hair. Different color, shorter cut, the works. Getting there showing the gal a picture of what I wanted, she shot it down saying«Um, that will take too long. It would be a double process. Let’s just keep you blonde» Umm, didja NOT see the note I left and the picture right in front of you? I wanted a huge change, but my hairdresser wasn’t having it. I second guessed myself and backed down, she’s supposed to be the professional right? So we proceeded to make me blond and after the shampoo, she starts to RAKE through my hair with a regular brush. Not carefully combing out sections to cut, oh no, with force she snags and snarels her way through my freshly processed blond hair. I Unilocaled and asked her to be more gentle. Was she? Not really. Did I get up and leave? No. I wussed out because I needed a haircut still! And the haircut was more like a trim. Not the change I wanted and showed her in the picture. In the end I was blonder and my hair was pretty much the same length. I went in for self confidence boost(because I needed one badly) and did not get it. You know you are having a bad experience when in the middle of it you question why you would put your precious hair in the hands of some twit in a mall salon. This is the salon where the people from Twin Cities Live supposedly get their hair done. No wonder John’s hair looks weird now. I will never go back, I would never suggest it to friends, I think the peeps from TCL should find another salon to go to.
