I have been going to Dr Grant Smith for a long time now. Followed him from a previous practice to his current VisionSmith practice due to trusting and liking him as a personable and knowledgable optometrist. There are plenty of optometrists I could go to that are closer to where I live than his practice is, but I’ll gladly drive the 20+ miles to someone I trust and am comfortable with.

Completely disagree with the comment below. Dr. Smith figured out a major eye problem I had, and was there every step of the way to make sure my condition was managed and taken care of.
Everyone there is professional and caring. I would recommend Dr. Smith to anyone.

In September of 2012 I had a full eye exam including prescriptions for both contacts and glasses at Vision Smith. After a mix up with a contact order I was treated with hostility by the practice manage. I chose to not return and sought a new eye care professional.
I contacted Vision Smith and requested them to transfer my records to my new Dr. at Kennedy Vision Health Center. They transferred my contact prescription but not my eye glass prescription. I contacted Vision Smith a second time to have my full records transferred.
I immediately ordered contacts from Kennedy Vision Health Care, but waited until just recent to order new glasses. Upon receiving my new glasses and prescription sports sun glasses I was dismayed that my left lens was not correct. In fact it was so off that I could not open my eye and look thru it. I contacted Kennedy Vision Health Care immediately to let them know of the concern. After checking the lenses again and stating that the prescription was proper to what Vision Smith had sent over. Upon receiving a new eye exam (which I should not have needed for some time) my new Dr and I learned that my eye sight had not changed in the few months since my last exam but instead the Dr at Vision Smith did not record my prescription properly… in fact it was more that 10 point off!!! It was so much stronger than it should have been. There was huge difference in what Vision Smith had recorded and what was proper. Lucky for me the wonderful (and very friendly) staff at Kennedy offered to correct the lenses on both pairs of glasses at no charge to me. I just had to pay the co pay on my insurance for the new eye exam.
I am very disappointing with Vision Smith and will never refer to them. They were rude and demeaning. They needed to be asked twice to transfer my full records. AND they recorded my prescription at such an incredibly outstanding mistake.
I would also add that Kennedy Vision Health Care conducted a much more thorough exam than I ever received at Vision Smith. They will remain my vision health care professionals from here on.
