I was pretty disappointed. The carnitas tacos(2/$ 7) were over priced and under seasoned. There wasn’t near enough food to warrant $ 7. Last weekend I had some outstanding food truck tacos for just $ 2 each. We also ordered the Cubano burrito. The volume of food made it a much better deal, but again, it just lacked the flavor to make it interesting. It reminded me of Chipotle Grill actually.

I love this food truck! The food is amazing and the staff is SO nice! Huge fan of the Cajun Turkey sliders, but you certainly can’t go wrong with the carnitas burrito!

I honestly thought that the people writing that the turkey burger was the ‘best ever’ was a load of crap, but low and behold, it REALLYIS. It’s so juicy. And the Cajun flavors and pepper jack cheese are perfect. My only wish is that it was around my office building more often. But when I see it going forward, I’m THERE! :)

Great food tonight at 612 Brew… Cajun turkey burgers were great and so was the Cuban burrito… the text and pickup outside was a surprise… just wish Steve had let you know he left at 9… we were ready to order another round of food… so were a few others…

I’ve had Simple Steve’s on 2 separate occasions once in downtown St. Paul the other last week at Sociable Cider Werks in NE Mpls. I had a Philly both times as it is one of the best street foods in the world IMHO. Steve has a great take on it with his handmade giardiniera. My wifey had a bacon cheese burger with an egg on top which she thought just ok but I found rather delicious.

I was at @WITS last night and hungry at intermission so I ran out to Simply Steve’s. While the other food truck was gone, they were still there and when I asked about credit cards, he informed me the machine wasn’t working and the without missing a beat said, «what can I get you any way?» I had two dollars in cash and he made me the Cajun turkey burger and told me to pay him next week. I was floored and grateful! And most importantly, the burger was outstanding! Classy guy, great food. #WITS

All I can say is wow. The chili is great, my mouth is still burning from the pepper I just ate. Great price, hot food, really nice people. They will be back at my office next Friday and I will stop there again. If you see them on the street treat yourself and stop for a bite to eat.

Challah… is happiness. Had the black bean quinoa burger with greens, tomato, cucumber and chipolte-mayo on a challah bun. Perfect texture and flavors! I have had a lot of veggie burgers and this one stands waaaaay out! Truck was at Fulton Brewery today and I was lucky enough to have a memorable lunch!

Simply Steve’s parks in front of my office about once a week… and that makes me so happy. I’ve gotten the Portobello sandwich twice because it’s so amazing. I’ll be sad when summer’s over; hopefully they keep coming around even when the weather starts to get chilly.

Simply Steve’s truck was at Music in Mears. I had the Turkey Burger and Quinoa Tabbouleh. Both were delicious and at a great pricel!

Conveniently located outside of 612 Brew on a beautiful Friday evening, I couldn’t have been more happy to order a burger. The burger was high quality and fresh. I loved being able to go out for some drinks and get a really affordable meal.

I used Simple Steve’s to help me feed about 50 people for a meeting I had at Fulton Brewery on Saturday. Not only was the food AWESOME, but Steve was great to work with! I’m a big fan of supporting the little guy so when I asked Steve if he would be able to help and he said no problem, I was elated. He did a great job getting the food ready by the time we needed it… all in his truck! He helped me work up a menu consisting of Pork Sliders, Turkey Burgers and regular Burgers. Also a couple of Black Bean burgers for the veg heads. He threw in some chips and 2 pasta salads. We also served some pita pizzas as appetizers. Everybody at the meeting was happy. I would definitely recommend Simply Steve’s and will try to use them again if I can.

I caught up with Simply Steves food truck at Indeed Taproom. After a couple of drinks I wanted to have some food. We came out just as he was starting to close up the truck. He was nice enough to breakdown his menu and make one last meal. I went with the Cajun turkey burger. Finally my curse of poor choices in menu ordering didn’t happen. This was the most juicy and delicious turkey burger I’ve had on Earth(Mars not included because they have the best martian turkeys, and I’m sure if Steve had a rocket ship he’d make the best martian turkey burgers). The Cajun seasoning was enough to tickle the tongue and provide a nice little after taste. Wow, my mouth is watering as I type this. Steve, give me more!

My buddy and I were out for our biweekly new restaurant jaunt in the cities. It was about 55 degrees in Minneapolis, so we decided to try to see if there were some food trucks lingering around. Our luck. Simply Steve’s was parked around 8th and Marquette. Food Row Haven. I’ve always wanted to try this truck. They had two awesome choices that I had to decide from. Either the spicy turkey burger or the spicy black bean burger. I chose the spicy turkey. I added some hot peppers that sat along the rail and we brought it over to the new Target Commons area to eat. Such a great place to hang out for a little relax time. A few big TVs, Foosball, some arcade games. The turkey burger was perfectly seared. The aioli was great, I loved it. The bun was kaiser-riffic. Not too much butter. It must have been a good 1⁄3 pound burger too. Such great flavor! Just the perfect amount of spice, it was like a gourmet burger for $ 8. Crappy potato chips on the side and for $ 8, throw some tater tots on there please. My buddy loved his spicy black bean burger too. It looked fantastic. The service was great and we got our food in about 6 minutes, and it was about $ 8. The chips, even though I wanted a better side, with the hot pepper dip were such a plus. Perfect heat to add to the meal. 10 minutes later I was feeling the heat in my mouth, but not in a bad way.

I LOVE uncomplicated food. Food trends drive me crazy, and molecular gastronomists make me laugh. So I was really happy when I saw simply steve’s food truck after visiting a client in Minneapolis. I can’t really say anything about the meat burgers, but the black bean quinoa burger is fantastic. A perfect combination of ingredients in the patty which is freshly made, and a delicious toasted bun with chipotle mayo and greens. For people who like uncomplicated food, it doesn’t get much better than this.

My hubby and I went to St. Anthony Park’s Parkb4Dark last Thursday. We were originally planning on eating dinner at Muffuletta, but I had never eaten from a food truck before, so I decided it was time to change that. The menu on Simply Steve’s truck sounded excellent. I decided on the Cajun Turkey Burger and my hubby ordered the pulled pork burrito. The burger was awesome. It had tons of great cajun seasoning, but wasn’t too spicy. It also had a really nice and creamy aioli. The burger was a big portion and came with some chips. We also ordered an Arnie Palmer to share, and it was excellent. My husband really enjoyed his burrito, it was huge. It was stuffed with tons of pulled pork and rice. Another bonus, they give you free bottled water! I woud definitely order from Simply Steve’s truck if I see it around again.

I do love the new food truck crazy in Minneapolis, I am a big fan! I would say Simply Steve’s is your pretty basic breakfast and lunch menu. I had the California burger, it was juicy grilled and delicious. My only gripe is that a California burger really needs avocado!

Simply Steve’s is mostly aptly named; they offer staple breakfast and lunch items, but with ingredients and preparations that go beyond what I would call simple. Many, if not most of the menu items, are sourced locally or are house-made and more importantly, are pretty damn good. I’ve had two great burgers here; the cajun turkey burger and black bean burger, both of which I’d happily recommend. Unfortunately, I’m seldom in Minneapolis when the truck is around, but for those that are it’s definitely worth throwing Steve’s into your breakfast/lunch rotation. That said, they’ve occasionally made it to the East side of the river and I wouldn’t complain if they made a habit of it. All-in-all Simply Steve’s offers good food at an affordable price with very friendly service. The fact that it’s all on four wheels makes it even better — keep up the good work Steve and Katie and feel free to come slum it in St. Paul any time you’d like.

I love food trucks! true story. There’s something about just walking through Downtown [Minneapolis] and running across somewhere new to grab a bite and Simply Steve’s did not disappoint. I was in the mood for breakfast and couldn’t get myself to go to Hell’s Kitchen(too much hype and the food’s only so so) or Key’s Café(probably no chance of me leaving without getting a caramel roll), so I found myself walking down Nicollet when I stumbled upon Simply Steve’s parked on the corner of Nicollet &10th. I looked over the menu and in addition to some amazing looking burgers(they even had a turkey burger and a black bean burger on the menu), they had some breakfast items. A breakfast sandwich and a couple different breakfast burritos. I know there was more on the menu, but I totally zoned out at that point and ordered up the breakfast burrito americana. It had scrambled eggs, cheese, sausage, potatoes and some salsa on it and it was delicious. Portion size on the breakfast burrito was good. It was a decent size burrito without being crazy and the price wasn’t bad either at $ 7. I’ll be back next time I’m working from home Simply Steve’s!

Dear Simply Steve’s, thank you for parking right outside the tv station. I will get a burger from you guys at least once a week if you stay parked in that spot. I had the sliders. Greasy and delicious. My friend had the black bean burger and loved it. Take the walk down Nicollet and try it out sometime!
