Dun-dun-dun, du-du-du do. Dun-dun-dun, du-du-du do. Ice, ice, baby. Dun-dun-dun, du-du-du do. Dun-dun-dun, du-du-du do. Ice, ice, baby. Let’s kick it! ***** In a need to get ice for Unilocal MSP’s Freaking Antiquing, the lovely staff at Architectural Antiques suggested that I contact the Shamrock Group. I went ahead and called the number listed on their website and spoke to a man that patiently answered all of my questions. I learned several important facts: –30 lbs bags cost $ 5, and it’s $ 6 if purchased after 5PM. –The Minnehaha Ave location is not open on weekends, but the Fifth Avenue South one is. –They don’t deliver unless you order 300 pounds worth. I think the delivery fee is $ 35.(I’m sure this price varies too, regarding distance and number of bags bought.) I made a visit to the Fifth Ave location the morning of my Saturday event and found the difficult-to-find front entrance located on the north side of the building. To enter, I had to ring a doorbell to get buzzed in. I followed the guardrails and to my left was the main office. I ordered over 200 lbs worth and was told to move my car to the loading dock. About five minutes later, the same man that I spoke to handed me the bags of ice from the dock to me. The entire process of took about 20 minutes or so. Overall, I’m pretty satisfied with my purchase and would consider using their product again. For me, Shamrock Group doesn’t get five stars because they could list the important information stated above on their website and better mark their front entrance.
