I went in for a cut and I walked in about 4 minutes late for my appointment and was waiting for another women to be checked in at the front desk. While I was waiting one employee said to the other behind the desk«Is this 6:00 ever going to get here?». So as I stepped up and said my name one woman rolled her eyes, making no attempt to hide her annoyance with my tardiness. Yes, it’s my own fault that I was late but that level of customer service is pretty crappy. The same two women were just as rude on my way out. I got a cut with Carol and overall I think it was fine. She was a very nice woman! While I was getting the cut though, there were two other hairdressers sitting in the studio chairs nearby gossiping about the woman that had just left. They were discussing very personal details of her life and it was really tacky. There’s a certain level of gossip/sharing that happens in most salons but this place is out of control. Maturity, kindness, and customer service go a long way, ladies.

I had an absolutely terrible experience with a haircut from Carol. She was distracted during my cut, at times she was turning away from my hair while cutting it and overall was disorganized in her communication. I called the salon back and explained that I was unhappy with my cut. They were very helpful and got me an appointment with someone else. I specifically said I did NOT want to speak with Carol about the situation given how bizarre she was during the first cut. The following day, this woman called and basically blamed me for the bad haircut. She kept awkwardly repeating that«she gave me a beautiful cut» and refused to refund my money. The salon manager was very apologetic but her hands were tied since they’re independent contractors. I think the manager and receptionists were super and very helpful to the extent that they could be. Overall, I would stay away from Carol if you’re going in for a haircut. Not only was the haircut awful but her response to an unhappy customer was unprofessional and frankly, just really weird.

Loved this place! Great atmosphere and very friendly staff! I was happy to find my old colorist from another salon here(Sara) — she’s awesome and really knows her stuff! I highly recommend her for blondes… she gets my highlights just right. She’s also a teacher for Wella hair color, so I feel like I’m in good hands. She gave me an awesome blowout before leaving and my hair smelled amazing! Glad I found her again and will be going back to this salon!

I go and see Deborah at intrigue and she always gives me an AMAZING haircut. She listens to what you want vs what she wants to do. She is willing to give her opinion when asked but is not pushy, I would HIGHLY recommend going to see her. Plus she is reasonably priced

Amazing massage! I love seeing Jill, she gives me a deep massage when I’m full of knots and a lighter one when im sore from my work outs. She is by far the best massage therapist I’ve seen in years!

A coworker recently recommended Craig Weitz here, and he has been amazing. Cannot recommend enough– he gives the perfect amount of direction for your style while still listening to what you want. His blowouts are fantastic. So happy I finally found a stylist I can stick with!

I really like Salon Intrigue. I was referred to Natalie when I needed(!) a new hairstyle, and I totally love her. She’s super friendly and fun to talk to, plus she gives great cuts and good advice on how to manage the cut as it grows. Unfortunately, I have color allergies, so I can’t comment on her coloring skills, but I’ve been a client of hers for a year now(at least) and plan to be for many more. I can’t speak to the nail, waxing, massage, or skin care services, so I feel this review is a little incomplete. However, the front desk staff have always been friendly, courteous, and professional — which isn’t always the case at other places I’ve gone. Plus it’s really convenient by car or bus, and is very nice inside. I love the glass tile by the front door! If you’re looking for a new stylist, give Natalie a try. You won’t regret it!

I hate to burst everyone’s 5-star bubble here but Salon Intrigue gets a real customer service FAIL from me. I saw Jenna Z for a manicure and she did a terrible job. The manicure started to chip off later that day, and by the third day it looked so awful that I removed it. I get manicures once in a while and they always last at least a week for me, often 10 days or longer(with me adding a top coat myself after 5 or 6 days, of course.) For it to start chipping significantly after just a few hours means she didn’t clean the nail at all. I even commented to her as she was about to polish over the oil she had just put on my cuticles that maybe I should wash my hands, but she just lightly rubbed it off with a towel! No wonder the polish didn’t stick. It didn’t help that the polish was so old that it came out in big globs and was filled with air bubbles. She also patched a nail that was ripped, and that too chipped off on the second day. In addition to the chipping polish, she also couldn’t get my nails filed straight. They ended up pretty crooked and very jagged on the ends. For the next few days I kept snagging on my clothes until I refiled them myself. I spoke with the manager before I wrote this review because I like to give a place the opportunity to remedy a situation before posting a negative review. I normally wouldn’t ask for a freebie but I felt strongly in this situation that they owed me another manicure. The manager heard everything I told her, and then just said«Okay, I’ll pass that on to Jenna» and then hung up. Not even an apology! So both Jenna Z and Salon Intrigue get 1-star from me. In reading all the 5 star reviews, I notice that they all sound pretty similar for the same people over and over – gee, THAT’S not suspicious at all!

Went in for a shellac manicure yesterday and wasn’t impressed. Although, my tech Lianne was cordial and made good conversation the money spent was for the service which was only okay. She had a very limited number of colors(I’m talking 8 +/-), and the sheer color I wanted(there was only 2 options) appeared a bit thick. I wished she would have paid more attention to detail and that I didn’t have to point areas that needed fixing, needed more paint, or looked streaky. Today I’ve done dishes and washed my hair all while wearing gloves. However, a tiny chip has managed to find it’s way onto the tip of my index finger. I get the feeling I’ll be ready for a new shellac or gel within a week(guess where I won’t be going…) :-(

I followed my stylist Angie Coleman here and I really like the salon and so does Angie! it’s really well maintained and it’s always hopping. I like when salons are busy — good energy, fun and it shows others like the salon too. The staff is really friendly and genuinely seem happy to be there. Angie’s been doing my cuts and colors and my daughter’s cuts for about a year and she is excellent — highly recommend!

5 out of 5 for Kelly Fink! I have been going to her for the last year and she always does a perfect color job whether I want it dark or highlighted. She also does great cuts! The salon itself is really nice and they have a variety of product — Aveda, Moroccan Oil, Bumble & Bumble, etc. I usually only have to call a week or two in advance to get in on a week night. They also offer manicure and pedicure services, Lisa is great for manicures. Great overall experience!

I followed my stylist Kelly F from her old employer to this business and have been impressed with the level of service provided. You will always get a personal phone call reminding you of appointments you made and offered a beverage upon arrival. The salon itself is pretty modern and really clean/well maintained. Parking can be a pain here since there aren’t many stalls right in front of the salon but the lot is big enough to accompany even a busy crowd.
