Not a bad hotel restaurant. It seems like they really pride themselves in being natural and healthy(«grass fed» meat, «cage free» eggs). If you try to eat food that fit into this category, you will have many options. I’ve had their pancakes(no topics) with bacon. Very yummy! I’ve also had their bison burger. It was good as well.

Spotty service but once they paid attention and we were seated, food was good and service friendly. The kids menu is great! Seems like somebody put in thought to extend selections beyond pizza and chicken tenders. A chopped salad, steak, other healthy stuff?!? And reasonably priced. Grown-up food was equally good. The burgers are great as are the fries. On another note, the breakfast buffet has a good variety of food and kids under five eat free.

80% of the tables are empty and we still have a wait to get served and this on a Saturday evening at 6pm. What will they do if it is full. Food selection is limited. While serving they spill gravy over my pants. Not much of a responds. Just walks away. Unbelievable. Food was okay…,

Located inside the Hyatt, this is a surprisingly fresh and modern take on Midwest cuisine. The atmosphere is so pretty, love the big lamps hanging from the ceiling and the casual clothing the servers wear, it feels very cowgirl/cowboy. The food is locally sourced and organic for many items on the menu. My friends loved that the menu had a choose your own salad option where you pick your greens, dressing, then three toppings. I tried the chicken sandwich with local«Nueske’s» bacon and cheese, served on a pretzel bun. I opted to order the side of fries(it was $ 4 extra) that are bathed in garlic and rosemary. WOW, those fries! I don’t love potatoes that much, but these were so good I finished them all. My lunch for just the sandwich and fries with tip was around $ 19, so it’s a little bit fancier of a place to go for lunch, but worth it. Everything tasted so fresh an nicely prepared. If I am in the area I would come back again.

For a restaurant in a hotel, this place does not disappoint! The service was excellent and the food was great too. I loved the garlic aioli for my fries and the apple spice cake trifle for dessert. The breakfast buffet was solid as well but it was a bit pricey.

Their pulled Bison sandwich was great! A bit pricey though.

The price was too high for the portion of the food given. However, the chickens wife ordered was the best cooked chicken we have tried! They waitress did not seem kid friendly and the atmosphere is not the best for a kid. The Whiskey sour I ordered was really good and the bartender was very friendly to those sitting at the bar. However, they weren’t the most kid friendly place and prices were too high for the portion probably because it is a hotel restaurant.

Hotel restaurant in a Hyatt. Sat at the bar and had Walleye fingers(who knew walleye had fingers? Cheeks-yes but fingers?) They were above average and came with 2 sauces and housemade potato chips. The TeeVee was at least 10 feet high in the wall behind the bar. The barkeep said«we’re lucky to even have it at all.»

Great restaurant. Generally I’m not a fan of hotel lobby restaurants, but this ones breakfast, in particular, was fantastic. Great looking buffet, if you do that kind if thing(which I don’t). The breakfast menu was excellent.

One of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had in the Midwest. Excellent morning buffet spread with farm to table organic ingredients. Would recommend going to breakfast here even if you’re not staying in the hotel. Very friendly staff and excellent food.

Very expensive for the portions. Our table ordered the corn fritters to share and it ended up being four, small, pop-in-your-mouth fried corn balls with no flavor to boot.

The summer squash noodle dish I ordered was sublime. I wish I could cook my veggie noodles that way. The second best dish I’ve ever ordered/eaten…ever, not just here.

We loved it!!! Summer squash noodles, black bean burger and the sliders were outstanding! The service was way above the call of duty!!! Highly advice you to check this place out!

I stopped in here for breakfast on two of the three days I stayed at the Hyatt. The Great: + The bartender was friendly and she provided me with some bar snacks(pretzels, etc.) when I asked for some. + The servers were friendly during breakfast. The Average: o Quality of food was typical of a hotel restaurant/bar. o Typical prices for a hotel. o The steel cut oats were WAY overcooked, but the myriad of toppings was nice. o The breakfast quiche was average at best. The red onions and pepper sauce were not needed. The Poor: — The host guy was handling flatware at the station as I approached. He dropped a spoon, picked it up, and put it back in the drawer with the clean spoons. Real nice.

Breakfast was superb. We did have the place to ourselves 15Min. prior to the end of the available buffet. The results of choosing from the menu was a delicious filling treat. The service staff did have strong foreign dialect but knew exactly how to accommodate both of our tastes. I had Steak&eggs, BreakfastPotatoes, poached Eggs&SourdoughToast. Tons of condiments and outstanding coffee. Amy’s Pancakes & Bacon were perfect. We will be back. Sunday morning at the latest.

Whenever I go to MN, I make sure to stop at Prairie Kitchen & Bar for a drink and an appetizer. I know I’m guaranteed great food and service, as well as some fun and delicious drinks. We’ve been a few times this summer and their outside patio is a fantastic place to enjoy their Happy Hour in the nice weather. All of the servers we’ve had have been outstanding — on top of refills, checking in on us enough to make sure we were happy but not too often to annoy us, and they had great recommendations for food. The food is delicious — I can’t even say what is my favorite — but I know I loved and devoured their fish and chips. If you’re in the area, definitely stop in.

I hate to do this. The service was appalling when I went here. I would say don’t waste your time until better service is in place. The place was near empty when I went, and yet I had to go to the bar to request my bread, butter and drink while I waited for my entrée because the server never came around, and when he did he completely ignored other tables around him who needed service. The table next to me actually went to nearby empty tables to grab empty plates and extra utensils after the server brought their appetizers the service was so bad. The only good service I got was when the general manager replaced the server and took care of my service for the rest of the night. Unfortunately, the one or two tables next to me weren’t that lucky. The food itself is not bad — I would give it at least 3 stars. I do think this place has potential… but until service is significantly improved I just can’t recommend this place.

We sat on the patio for happy hour, which is mentioned on their website without details. The inside is a really nice remodel from the old TAXI bar. The outside could use a few more accouterments, it was a bit sparse. Maybe some fronds :). The happy hour, which covered beer and wine, I won’t mention the prices but they were a pretty good discount from the high regular prices listed. This will be a great HH stop once people find out about it.

I ate lunch here in between a conference I was attending at the convention center and the food was pretty good. The service was quick and nice and the space was very quaint. I had the butternut squash soup and the salmon BLT minus the bacon. The soup was creamy and hearty with a bit of crunch from the candied walnuts on top. After being in a well air conditioned conference all morning this was just what my body needed! To go with my soup I split the salmon BLT with a friend. The salmon was smoked very well and was topped with a fried egg. I imagine bacon lovers would love the combination with bacon but I loved it just fine without. The meal was a perfect sized lunch and priced fairly reasonably for where we were eating, although more than what I would normally spend on a soup and half a sandwich for lunch.

Read about this place in Minnesota Monthly. We had a good dining experience. Service was very good. The roasted spring beets were excellent and attractively served. I had the Parmesan encrusted walleye with crisp spring beans, artichokes and morels. This combo works very well together: very good-excellent. I tried my wife’s trout cakes. They were very good.
