Park Nicollet

Not at all happy with this clinic, call backs are lacking. I had covid and pneumonia that i got over thanks to the medication from Fairview ER not the clinic, when i did not get better after the healing, i asked the park Nicolett too to continue me on antibiotics they declined so i had 5 more trips to ER...they acted like i was going to sell it on the street corner. I am a 75 year old male. I asked them to admit me, they said they could not do that. I switched clinics the same day. Some medical places have lost their touch with their patients.

I’ve been to this particular Park Nicollet a few times. The first couple of visits were for strep, and I saw two different male doctors that seemed to be good doctors. Professional, friendly, and helpful.
However. The last time I went was for a «preventative checkup,» which was covered by my insurance. I saw Dr. Amelia Vang. She was pleasant enough to interact with, but she was very pushy about how totally abnormal it was for me to still have problem skin in my early twenties. Therefore, a bunch of extra tests were definitely necessary. *eye roll*
I don’t like extra tests. I’m fine with my skin. But she was pushy. So I asked her if the tests were considered «preventative» because that’s the only thing covered by my insurance and I did NOT want to pay for anything extra. She brushed off my questions with an affirmation «oh, sure they’ll be covered.» And went on her way.
All the test results came back showing that I am vigorously healthy and normal. They also came with a hefty bill that I cannot afford.
I’m currently trying to argue my money back, but their patient relations department seems to be incompetent as well.
My impression now is that Park Nicollet as a whole is a greedy organization and that Dr. Vang is a terrible Doctor.

I usually do not enjoy visiting clinics or hospitals, but this Park Nicollet location is absolutely wonderful! From the receptionists to the doctors, everyone that I’ve met there wears a smile. The management here deserves all the gold stars, smiley faces, and suckers for making the rest of the staff happy. Thank you.
I’ve visited several times now –due to location– and I regret not coming more often for my annual physical.

First off, I hate doctors’ offices. I grew up with the coolest little doctor in a small town and my perceptions and expectations are biased and high. Living in the city is a struggle to find a location that isn’t too busy to care, to take time to know you and that doesn’t always have a rotating staff. With Dr. Ben Stenzler at Park Nicollet Blaisdell we are almost family. He knows us by name, the staff welcome me and check me in upon arriving and the nurses are consistent and kind.
We’re on a delayed vaccination schedule, a natural path and the staff don’t fight us. The Physical therapy for my postpartum diastasis is in the basement, doctors on the first floor and Dr. Stenzler sees my whole family, not just the babies.

This is the Disneyworld of healthcare. By that I mean this place is like a fairy tale, a total urban myth. It was too pleasant of an experience to actually have been real.
I ended up at Park Nicollet because my dear friend Rachel sprained her ankle on a rug. We walked in, waited for probably 15 seconds, and were helped by an unusually chipper front desk attendant, who pointed us towards the dreaded insurance desk. As Rachel hopped over, three different Park Nicollet employees insisted loudly on a wheelchair, and before we had gone the 10 feet a wheelchair appeared.
Matt at the insurance desk was HYSTERICAL. From cracking jokes, to whispering insider info on where to get cheap ankle braces, to hyping Rach up on the job interview she had that afternoon, he went out of his way to make the experience of navigating the insurance system 100% painless. I began to question my own sobriety at this point– it’s only 9am. I can’t be hallucinating, right?
In 2 minutes Rach was taken to see the doctor, who began asking her a series of seemingly-​irrelevant questions. These questions ended up meaning that Rachel did not have to have an x-​ray done– meaning Dr. Peterson had just saved Rach (and her insurance company) a couple hundred bucks. No ordering of unnecessary tests? #WINNING.
Then, as though our experience hadn’t been good enough, Nurse Vicki took the time to instruct Rach on how to use crutches. She walked with her up and down the hall to make sure she was all set, and then helped her out to my car.
I don’t know what they’re smoking over there, or what’s in the water. I don’t care. You don’t get this kind of healthcare EVER, ANYWHERE. I am never going anywhere else. These folks are dedicated to patients in a way I have never seen, and every step of our experience here was infused with excellence. WELL DONE, everyone, and THANK YOU.
