Orchids Limited

I stopped in here a few weeks ago to pick up some orchid supplies. The place is rather cramped and rundown looking. Staff was friendly and answered my questions about orchids. Will be shopping for my supplies elsewhere in the future.
Since my last review was deleted because the owner took issue with the fact he mistreats his parrots. He claims the living conditions of the parrots doesn’t reflect upon his business and he is wrong. You have them in the greenhouse which is your place of business. It would be like claiming the décor or filth of a restaurant doesn’t reflect on the business. You can see it… it is right there… so yes it does reflect upon your business. Since the parrots are kept in the greenhouse in rusty cages I will be shopping elsewhere for my orchid supplies.

For the past week or so, I was looking to buy some orchids for my mother. I stopped at Menards, Target, and Home Depot and found no luck and finally found this place. Although it was quite a drive away, I was extremely pleased with my visit here. There was a huge assortment of orchids, ranging from very small to huge, from bright, beautiful colors to more mild, gentle tones. They have many, many different breeds of orchids and clearly know how to grow and take care of them very well.
I was looking for an orchid that was relatively easy to grow that wouldn’t require too much attention. The worker showed me several different types of orchids that fit my preferences and also gave me very great detail and information on how to take care of them well. He was very passionate about what he did and I was glad to be able to support a store like this.
The only thing that was a bit frustrating was that many of the plants did not have price tags so I had to consistently go up and ask him. You must also watch out for plants that have a red stick on them because those are not for sale and are just being kept in the greenhouse to breed. However, my trip here overall was a great experience and the whole staff was very friendly. I will definitely look forward to coming back here again if I ever want to purchase more orchids.
On a side note, they also have an alpaca farm right outside their greenhouse and it was really cute to see!

I can’t give 5 stars since I’ve not physically been there. However, I have made on-​line purchases and spoken with their staff. Their customer service is excellent!
