I recently moved to Minneapolis and asked a co worker to recommend an Eye Dr. Downtown. She raved about Moss Optical, and so I decided to give them a try! I have been so impressed with the care everyone there has shown me! I initially got a new prescription and Kevin helped me pick out the coolest new glasses! I get compliments on them all the time! They have a great selection in all price ranges! I recently decided to see if I was a candidate for contacts, as I would like an option for going without my glasses! They were just as helpful with this, and I am not an ideal contact patient, being far sighted and near sighted! They helped me with a test pair of contacts, and Tamara took an hour to show me how to put them in and take them out! She did such a great job, it is easy for me after only a week of practice! The entire team is really thoughtful and caring! I highly recommend!

I went to see Moss Optical when they first opened up just to give the business some money, Then Moss got to big and would not except my insurance. So I just left them. It was like I just didn’t matter anymore.

I had a very bad experience here. The optometrist gave me an incorrect prescription and I have never been able to use the over priced glasses I got. I brought my 3 year old pair in and they verified that those were stronger and better. They would not do anything for me. At the least they should have offered to replace the lenses free of charge.
You will be better off going to Lens Crafters.

I broke my glasses a few months ago and was in desperate need of a new pair. I had been to Visionworks and disliked every single pair of glasses I saw. I wanted something with a more modern look and statement then they had to offer. Luckily, Moss Optical was right around the corner! At first I started trying on frames by myself and was feeling kind of utterly lost when a man that works at Moss stepped in, making suggestions and showing me what frames were best suited for what I wanted and my face shape. I’m sure I was a very difficult and indecisive person to work with, but he was nothing but patient and helpful. I eventually found what I thought was the perfect frames (thanks to the mans suggestions) and was able to walk out with new glasses the same day! FYI Visionworks told me it would take atleast 10 days to make a pair of glasses ready for me!
Once I got home and looked at the man’s business card I realized I was helped by Mr. Moss himself! Needless to say, I couldn’t believe the wonderful costumer service I received by Mr. Moss! I get so many compliments on my glasses (their NW 77^th brand) and I’ve even recommend Moss Optical to many a stranger who complimented my glasses and told me their complaints about their own glasses or optometrists. Never go to Visionworks, always go to Moss Optical!

I’ve never purchased glasses or had an appointment at Moss Optical because my insurance wasn’t accepted by them… that being said over the past 3 years I have stopped into Moss Optical for adjustments and to purchase lens cleaner spray.
I’ve had exceptional service when I needed an adjustment for my frames. Some places won’t even take a look at your glasses if you didn’t buy them there which is really awful if you know the pain that pinching or loose glasses can cause.
The store is well lit and much nicer than a Vision World, plus their selection of frames is more boutique.

So, I was looking for a new eye doctor downtown (close to work). I came to Unilocal for help, and was not let down. I ended up giving Moss Optical a try, and boy, was I impressed. They were a great team, and helped me in my quest to find new glasses, update my vision, and I feel GREAT! Thanks Dr. Moss and Team!!! Convenient, quick, professional and friendly!

I just met with Dr. Diamond at Moss Optical. I was having some issues with one of my eyes and haven’t gotten a new eye doctor yet since I moved. They were able to squeeze me in and perform an exam. I liked the office; it was very clean. The staff was nice and helpful. Dr. Diamond walked me through everything, explaining what different things did and meant. He was thorough without doing stuff that seemed unnecessary. When I’m ready for my next annual exam, I think I found my new eye doctor.

The whole team was fantastic to work with! Kevin Moss made my transition from glasses to contacts pretty seamless. Dr. Diamond did a great job and my vision is now somewhere between ²⁰⁄₁₅ and ²⁰⁄₁₀.
Absolutely no snags in the entire process! If you really want to go the extra mile at your next checkup, I would recommend going for the Optos scan as an alternative over the pupil dilation drops (it costs just a little more). Who really likes those drops any way?!

I needed a new eye doctor after moving back to Minneapolis. Found them from my insurance co. and after checking Unilocal (of course) had to come.
The staff is really kind, the appointment was on time and quick, I got help picking out the cutest glasses and they were ready in a day. A day! My contacts came shortly thereafter. I am really happy with the level of service I received.

Very thorough eye exam. Had great service picking out and trying frames. they were very patient with me as I’m picky. Had some styles I had not seen before. Discovered this place walking through the skyways at lunch. I’ll be back to spend my FSA balance in December

I have been going to Moss Optical for eye exams for six years. Dr. Diamond has always worked tirelessly to find the right contact lenses for my complicated prescription, and I have also been extremely happy with the quality of several pairs of glasses they have made for me. Moss Optical is a family-​run business that clearly cares about doing things right, and I can’t imagine going anywhere else.

I go here for contact lens exams, in my 25+ years of wearing lenses, I’ve had the most thorough eye exam and contact lens fitting here. Dr. Diamond spent over a month fitting my highly astigmatic/​myopic eyes with various trials just to get the right fit with a product that my insurance would pay for.

This optical in the skyway level in downtown has top notch service with awesome people working there. They really took time to find me the right pair of glasses and utilized the shape of my face to get the best looking ones. The honest family run business is very helpful.
