Really awful. Yes, it’s McDonalds but my fiancé just got off at work 12:30am and the employees took 30min to make the food. While I was on the phone with him they made him park and wait. Next thing you know it the employee said«nice and fresh» but of course it wasn’t. By the time my fiancé got home(10min away from the McD’s) it was cold enough to be microwaved. Hardly anything is open this hour for food and for a man to get off work at 12:30am and have to wait 30min and get shitty ass food is very inappropriate. Whoever is working this morning at 12:00am(12÷19÷15) are seriously not going any further in life.

This place is like any other McDonald’s but it is really a Dinkytown staple. I stop here at least twice a week for breakfast. I alway order an egg white delight and coffee of some sort. In the 2 yrs I have been coming to this location regularly they have only messed up my order 1 time which is impressive. They are pretty fast at getting you in and out be it through the Drive-Thru or Dine-In. One unique thing about this McDonald’s is that it has 2 levels so you can eat upstairs away from the cashier noise. Parking: About 5 Spots by the Drive-Thru

I guess you can’t stand at a McDonald’s you either have to sit down or leave… Rude ass people

Your average McDonalds food. great place to go after being out and about. the security is a little pushy late at night but it makes sense. ive also heard they raise their prices at night for when all the drunk people come. Not sure if that’s true or not. staff is okay not super friendly but its a convenient location and the food comes out pretty quick

This is the late night food stop for countless dinkytown goers, especially on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night. The staff is usually pretty chill and handle the massive crowds well. The late night menu usually is a little pricier than you’re used to at McD’s, but who doesn’t mind paying a little extra for that large fry to end the night?

Let’s face it. A McDonalds is a McDonalds. Nothing more to it. What would push me to add star ratings to a fast food place would be small details that they pay attention to or certain foods or drinks they sell. This place is convenient in terms of location because it is close to campus but because of that, there are so many people in the night and a lot of them are drunk college students so might want to watch your driving if using the drive through. Otherwise, food is not that different from other mc donalds.

I had to wait five minutes for fresh fries and they hooked me up with two large fries instead of one for the wait. Good people. The breakfast crew is also always super chill and happy to be alive, which is rare before 9 a.m.

Okay so here I go again, reviewing another McDonalds. This one is different though… it’s like a staple on the University of Minnesota campus and I feel like it’s been around forever. This location is constantly busy and as a regular… I would say they do a great job of keeping up with the chaos around lunch time near a college campus. This McDonald’s has two floors so if you want to eat in a quieter environment, you can head upstairs to find your Chi lol jk but you can really go upstairs to find additional seating. Based on the other reviews it looks like people don’t think it’s very clean… as a germaphobe, I would say this place is not bad… maybe they had an epiphany and decided to change their ways after seeing those other reviews… cause I have no issues with their cleanliness… and I am the biggest diva when it comes to food safety. This McDonald’s also randomly prints out and hands out their own coupons which is kind of cool but also unnecessary but hey, who doesn’t love a $ 1.99 order of chicken nuggets?!? There is a private parking lot but don’t even think about parking there if you don’t plan to eat there because they will tow your car so fast you won’t even know what happened.

Between the pan handlers near the bus stops outside, the occasional influx of drunk college students at night and the life of a fast food employee, I think the people that work at this McDonald’s have enough to contend with without my negative review or rants about the evils of fast food. You know, sometimes you just need a Big Mac and this location will suffice just fine. Coming from the flat lands of North Dakota, I have always felt that this double-decker McDonalds was almost a little exotic.

I’d say this location is pretty average for a McDonald’s. Everything I’ve had here is equal to the quality of the food at other McDonald’s locations. A few things I wanted to add since I didn’t see them in any other reviews: 1. After 11 on most Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, this place turns in to DrunkDonald’s due the influx of massive numbers of inebriated University of Minnesota students 2. After midnight, the $ 1 Menu turns into the $ 1.29 Menu, probably to take advantage of the aforementioned drunk college students. The hordes don’t seem to notice however. Pretty shocked by the bad reviews for this place. Don’t think it’s any worse than other McDonald’s, especially considering what the employees have to deal with on weekend nights.

I would rate this zero stars if I could. This place is a dump, literally. The only time I have to go here is when I’m working and I have a really short break and I can’t go backhome and eat on time. I see homeless people that have obviously been drinking by the way they act, and high school or even middle school kids sscreaming. You can’t even think to yourself at this point. I remember a week ago there was a homeless hobo trying to persuade the people who work there to allow him to eat for free, or at least give him a refund. The police had to come and talk to him somewhere else, so I didn’t know what happened at that point. Avoid this place at all costs!

I stop at this McDonald’s on my way to work just about every Sunday morning at 9:45am. I never go inside, so I can’t comment on the inside service or cleanliness.(I have been in this McDonald’s before, and it’s average at best. But, that’s not what this review is about). Aside from my Sunday morning stops, I don’t often eat at McDonald’s. But, I’ve eaten at other McDonald’s enough times to know that there are some weird quirks about this particular one. Specifically regarding their drinks. 1. This is the ONLY McDonald’s where I have to request EXTRA ice in my drink just to get to a baseline level of acceptable ice. If you don’t request extra ice you get maybe 4 or 5 of their pathetic ice«chips.» This may be a decent amount if you’re ordering a small. But, order a large, and those ice chips will be gone within a couple of minutes. Bummer. Obviously, if you order inside, you can choose your own ice amount, and this isn’t a factor. 2. Very regularly, when ordering a drink from the drive through, the cup will not be filled all the way up. Just this morning, I handed the cup back to the drive through employee because it was only filled ¾ of the way. This happens enough for me to have noticed a pattern, and I always check to make sure the cup is full. Maybe 3 out of every 5 times, it is not. I know this is an automated system. But, combine this with the ice issue mentioned above, and it’s clear that something isn’t right with that drink machine. Service is generally good, and employees are pleasant. But guys, get your drinks figured out. Seriously.

I feel weird rating a McDonald’s on the low-end of the scale(is that anti-American?) but I’m irked with this location. Sure it looks cool since it’s 2 floors high, but it’s dirty inside. I wonder when they last wiped down the tables??? I also have a gripe with the payment situation. At this location you can’t pay with a card inside. I am a fan of regular ice cream sundae stops and anytime I want one I have to go through the drive-thru(I never have da cash money available). In their defense, I’m sure they got annoyed with drunk students ordering one thing off the dollar menu – but still, could you apply the restriction for late night only? I think there are better places to get a quick bite to eat in Dinkytown. When you crave a Big Mac, find a McDonald’s with a playhouse.

Let me start out by saying: McDonald’s isn’t good food. That being said, when you are in a rush their dollar menu or grilled chicken sandwiches suffice as sustenance. Sometimes, when drunk or super hungry it fills the spot excellently. But this place is to be avoided. I literally will drive to another McDonald’s. First off, this place only takes cash. What sort of establishment won’t take checks or credit cards these days?! Secondly, of the three times I have been there(once during lunch rush hour, once in the morning, once for dinner) there has always been homeless people there, the place was filthy, and the service was poor and unfriendly. McDonald’s isn’t a place to feel safe and comfy I know, but this place made you afraid to touch things and want to run away. Really, if you need fast food in dinkytown go somewhere else. This place only exists because of the underage drinkers in that area, it would never survive otherwise.

True McDonald’s is horrible, but the reason for two stars is the show you get on the weekends. I have many fine memories of hitting up the dollar menu(or dollar twenty-five after midnight) after a long night of drinking. I have met so many people at this mcdanks and always had a lot of fun with all the other drunks. The best when my frosh year at the U when they had the 400 lbs security guard. True the food sucks but the show you get at 2 am is worth stuffing down a snackwrap.

Back in my very very broke days, I would eat here occasionally and spend literally a couple of dollars on something to get me by. Everything was filthy. No one was nice. The food was awful. I think everyone should have this experience at least once in their lives to show you how bad food can be. Once you have experienced the lows, you will appreciate every other meal that much more for the rest of your life. .or perhaps you’ll die from this one. That would be pretty unlucky, so try not to do that.
