Out of bread. At 6:30pm. This is a sub shop. Fortunately, the worker clearly didn’t give a shit, so at least she wasn’t burdened with worry.

Jimmy Johns is good but Jersey Mikes is better. Why even go to subway?

I don’t understand why the reviews are so bad for this place. The first thing I noticed when I ate my sandwich was that I could actually taste the cheese. Even when I order pepper jack at Subway, I have no idea there’s actually cheese on my sandwich when I’m eating it. True, there are less toppings for options but a good sandwich really only needs lettuce, tomato, and maybe a little onion. I appreciate the fact that they slice the meat and cheese in front of you. It shows that they are proud of their ingredients, and that their staff is intelligent enough to operate a slicer safely. Even if you’re not sure about it, get your sandwich Mike style. I’m 99% sure anyone who complains their sandwich is bland didn’t. Is your cold cut on wonder bread with just mayo at home particularly zesty? Doubt it. If they offer you additional product to showcase a signature taste, and you opt out, you may be the reason your sandwich is bland. I will be seriously bummed if I have to lose out on having a Jersey Mikes nearby if they move on because the Uptown crowd is too«smart» to know this is better than most of their competition.

I picked up a sub and chips, get back to work, open my chips, bite down and they are stale, guaranteed fresh until June 30… Next time I will check exp date in house before leaving

The woman working at this very moment at 7 – 8 pm on 8÷8÷2014 wiped her nose with her gloves while making our subs. She then provided us with horrible service with no job integrity when confronted. Fire this woman. If she’s not gone, nobody should even think of giving them service again until they go under. I guess it’s true what they say, garbage in, garbage out.

The first time at this location the bread was really dry and the sandwich wasn’t great. I tried going again at this same location(I had a coupon and I thought I’d give then a second chance) and the subs were still bland and the bread dry and nothing special. The employees at this location are also HORRIBLE. They were super rude and made my subs wrong(I took then to go and upon getting home found they were completely wrong). I drove back and they gave me no apology-they even tried to tell me they made them right! I just wanted new sandwiches made(the right ones)-especially after I had picked though them to make sure they actually were wrong and the employee had as well. They didn’t apologize or offer anything. I would have been happy with«Oh we’re so sorry, we’ll make new one’s fit you». I was so mad at the horrible treatment of me after THEY messed up and I had to drive back. I will never go there again-even if someone paid me for some strange reason :-). The food is NOTGOOD anyway! Jimmy John’s, Milio’s, Erbert and Gerber’s, and pretty much any place serving sandwiches will continue to get my business. I should have stuck with what I knew was good.

This place sucks. I’ve actually never eaten here but I never will because the customer service is nonexistent. My friends and I wanted to grab a sandwich after spending the day running around. At 830 we called to make sure they were still open, they were and said they would be open until 9… so you can imagine how upset we were when we arrived at 840 and the door was locked. We knocked and the employee said they closed early but«you can come in, I guess.» um, Hell no. nobody should eat here. nobody.

This places subs are edible. My friend and shared a cheesesteak and meatball, the cheesesteak was better but not good. It was bland, very few veggies on both, and the meatballs weren’t hot. The place is clean, service was good. There are so many great places to grab a quick bite in uptown, why would anyone choose this joint twice? Even if you did, no delivery and it closes at 9pm.

Past reviews taught me that ordering here would be confusing. And yup, they were right. They have a menu of sandwiches with various numbers. They aren’t consecutive and skip around wildly. What the heezy?! They also don’t ever list all of their options or ingredients anywhere, so it’s like a guessing game to figure out what you want on your sandwich. The other confusing part is that they have hot sandwiches and cold sandwiches, so I thought I could easily get a cold sandwich made hot. Nope! When I asked if I could get a warmed turkey sandwich, I was told, no, this is what distinguishes us from«those other sandwich places». Oh, not getting people what they want, that’s what sets you apart? GOTIT. Here’s all you need to know: * Caffrey’s is located on Lyndale & Lake St * they slice everything fresh when you order(who cares) * the way they haphazardly make your sandwiches means that they are confusing what everyone has wanted and you end up having to repeat yourself 500 times * these sandwiches are $$$ — you can get a banh mi at a million different places all over the metro for easily half the price * again, Caffrey’s is located on Lyndale & Lake St.

The first time I ordered here I was really confused. They have pre-made sandwiches and you can choose, like ham and provolone. They then ask you if you’d like it mickeys way which is all the toppings. The second time I went there I asked a billion questions and made my own sandwich. Recommendations: 1. Choose your base so like a mini ham 2. Add bacon because that’s a given(they have good fast food bacon) 3. Look at what other sandwiches have on them and use that as an option(obviously get chipotle mayo) 4. Boom. Almost like a subway.

Flavorless. Plenty of other way tastier sandwich shops in area.

Good addition to the neighborhood. I like that they slice all of the meat to order. It is a chain so there is nothing ground breaking happening here but the food is good and the employees were helpful and friendly.
