I’ve been here 3 times now. The first time, I got the Mexican skillet and it was divine. Each time I go, I mean to try something else, but that skillet calls to me every time. Very attentive staff and my food arrive fast, even the one time I went at Sunday brunch. The fresh squeezed orange just is pricey, but worth it.

Found this on a weekend trip to Minneapolis for a wedding through Unilocal.Great place and large portions. My college sophomore couldn’t finish his chicken and waffles and I’ve seen him finish 2 entrees and other places. My wife got the breakfast nacho and was in love with them. I got the hash and eggs was good but not spectacular. Tried some of the cinnamon roll pancake from my son and that was great and very sweet. Would come back if I make it back to MN.

In a word: Magnificent! I enjoyed an amazing omelette and the best service I have experienced in the Twin Cities breakfast dining scene in a very long time. I will update with more details later, but suffice it to say for the best breakfast in town, go here!(expect a wait depending on the time of day, but well worth it)

My friend’s took me here for breakfast on my birthday, and I absolutely loved it! The menu has so many different options, so there’s something for every mood. We got two plates(an egg dish and a crêpe one) to share amongst the 3 of us, and we were stuffed before finishing the second. The portions are generous, the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is lively as can be!

Well, we ended up here with our local friends… they were a little nervous about the neighborhood being questionable but it seemed fine by me. This is a down home little diner where the servers are super friendly and the food portions are gigantic and as one woman that worked there described… the food is like a warm hug that just holds you and doesn’t let you go — I also think I gained at least 10 lbs after leaving here so you take a piece of them once you leave in that sense. I got the pastrami hash which sounded good in theory but it was quite greasy and flavorless but the pancake was wonderful as were the eggs. Hunny got the breakfast poutine and we ended up mawing that down and hating ourselves a little for eating something like that. It is a great hangover cure, and can easily serve 2 people and a small third one. I wish we knew how big the servings would be as we would have just gotten that and been done with it. All in all it was a very cute local breakfast spot, glad I don’t live any closer as I would not be able to stay away!

Beautiful little breakfast outside at Eggy’s on Memorial Day! The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious. We had the Biscuits Benedict and the breakfast sandwich. The breakfast sandwich was a little hard to eat, but that is a personal issue I deal with every time I order a messy sandwich.

Just a few bites in and we can tell we’ll be back. The Nutella French toast is a treat, took a half order and it tastes amazing. Ambience and vibe is casual and friendly. Great place for brunch and conversation.

Horrible service but great food. On 5 different occasions they have forgotten our side dishes for our to go order. My recommendation is to double check your to go orders, the cleanliness of your straws, and if you like long wait times, bad service, but great food, come here. The décor is cute too.

We came here for Brunch on a warm and windy Saturday in April. I wasn’t a fan of the potatoes. I was so looking forward to trying them. They were one of the reasons why I chose to visit Eggy’s Diner. They certainly were crispy enough, but they were just too burnt tasting and contained absolutely no salt so they were a bit flavorless. Maybe it was just our batch but my sister who is a Registered Dietitian confirmed that they were not cooked with salt. Which is probably a great thing for our health but a poor choice for a weekend brunch indulgence. I added some salt and also doused mine in some Mexican hot sauce which bumped up the taste considerably… We shared a half order of the Old Fashioned Pancakes and these were divine. We had to ask for more butter and syrup and an extra plate for sharing and our lovely server brought that out promptly. Of course we were requiring copious amounts of fresh coffee refills and that too was graciously served. 100% on the service, atmosphere and restroom facilities. The interior is totally adorable and very clean and airy feeling. It’s a diner but definitely more of a modern updated look. I love the big red Eggy’s sign hanging high up in the ceiling. On to the Benedicts! Both my sis and I ordered the Eggy’s Benedict which is pulled pork on top of two mini Belgian waffles instead of the traditional English muffins one typically finds in Eggs Benedict. Top marks for concept, but the waffles had no flavor and so when choosing where to «spend» my caloric intake, I feel like I would avoid those next time and instead focus more keenly on the hollandaise sauce. However, the actual poached eggs were STELLAR. I almost fell off my chic chair when our server confirmed that we could in fact have our eggs poached medium to hard if we wanted. Most places only poach one way, so if you don’t want runny whites and yolks but you really want a Benedict then you need to make an executive decision, and fast. I got mine medium poached, and they were still perfect with the yolks just about runny enough to make Gordon Ramsay jealous.

Definitely one of the best breakfast experience that I have had in recent memory. The server was awesome — super friendly, welcoming, and just enough attentiveness. Several people made it a point to say hello when I walked in. I had the verb omelette with the side of pancakes. I upgraded the pancake to the cinnamon roll pancake. The omelette, potatoes, and pancake were all absolutely delicious! The place itself and décor are hip and get a thumbs up from me. We are only in town a few days for business, but I am already trying to make plans to come back here before we leave. Great job Eggy’s!

Great atmosphere and service is friendly. The potatoes are perfectly crispy. I’d say their omelettes are particularly good… not overdone, and good mix of fresh ingredients. My husband tried the chicken and waffles there… and they good but not great. What was surprisingly underwhelming were the pancakes. They tasted like they were made with an instant batter and were a disappointment. Overall, fun atmosphere, it’s great to have another breakfast option in the area and worth a try if you are in the neighborhood.

I go through phases of being sick of eggs, and then needing to dunk my head into a bucket of them. Idk but thank goodness Eggy’s is around to satiate my current breakfast craving or things would have gotten messy… I got here at 10am on a weekday, paid the street meter, and immediately ordered some tea and fresh OJ. There wasn’t many people here. The space is bright and has a breakfast bar, booths, and tables. It’s modern yet cozy! I usually am one to go with a Benedict of any kind, but this cold day I needed ALL the country gravy. So I ordered the biscuits and gravy plate. These are $ 9, but don’t come with eggs nor a side. So I had to pay extra for the scrambled eggs and potatoes, meh. The eggs and gravy were stellar. They both had a creaminess and heartiness to them that I craved after parking too far away in winter. The biscuits were a little on the dry side, however, and was almost burnt on the bottom. The potatoes are beautiful aesthetically and texturally — soooo freakinnggg crispy!!! But mine personally could have used some salt/seasoning(I added salt and smoked paprika to my leftovers at home). Service was decent, though there was some lag time in between ordering and receiving the check. The food came up pretty fast, though! I was teetering between 3 and 4 stars, but I overall think I would come back here, so 4 it is! The table next to me was losing their minds over the pulled pork bennie so that’s next on the list, Mr. Eggy.

Tried the Eggy’s Benedict. It was scrumptious. The pulled pork was yummy, although a bit under-seasoned. The pulled work was tender but not as juicy as I’d like. But the whole dish came together quite nicely. The potatoes were off the chains. And these two mini belgian waffles will fill you up. I also tried my girlfriend’s chilaquiles, although good, it was not as good as Hola Arepa’s version. It’s so hard not to compare when you have two very similar dishes. The pulled pork in both the benedict and the chilaquiles were under-seasoned and not as juicy as Hola’s. This isn’t to say that the food here was not good. It’s just not quite as good as the other place. Location wise, it is situated at the bottom of an apartment complex. Apparently, apartment owners get 15% off their food here.

Nobody wanted breakfast this morning apparently except me and some dude that was sitting at the counter! Parking is notoriously bad in Loring Park, but this place actually validates your parking for 1.5 hours in the LPM building. Score! Check out my tips for details. Upon entering the place, I notice that there is strong industrial design, warm but also vibrant colors, and a very clean modern feel. Love it immediately. I am quickly seated since nobody else is there and have the pick of the joint. I ordered the pastrami hash and a side of bacon. The hash had potatoes, fennel and carrot, and topped with 2 eggs of your liking with horseradish cream on the side. I elected for a side of wheat toast but should have gotten the pancakes! Next time. Honestly, the food was standard breakfast fare and was not remarkable. It satisfied my hunger, but I will choose something else when I am back. The GM here, Paula, is very hands-on and so cool. She was chatting with me and just checking in on everything. She’s very personable and cares about her employees you can tell. She was going on and on about the freshly squeezed Orange Juice — she even brought me a small sample, thank you! — and hot damn, she was right. Best OJ I have ever had! They have a special machine that makes everything freshly squeezed in-house. The staff were all wonderful and I just loved the feel of the place. Overall, I would rate this a 4.5 and cannot wait to return. BTW, people need to quit bitching about their prices. The prices I found to be very fair. What are people expecting for breakfast for a main that is still under 11 bucks? Folks in Minneapolis have gotten very elitist with food. Get a grip on reality and give this place a chance to shine. They’re well on their way.

I would totally give Eggy’s 5 stars, but there are some things that are holding me back. It just opened a few months ago, and all of the pretty instagram pictures of the sign and food, and all the Unilocal talk made me want to try this place out. When we arrived, parking was a definite challenge. Thankfully I was with my boyfriend, otherwise I would’ve panicked driving around in circles, trying to find a spot to parallel park. Too bad this doesn’t have an attached lot. When we walked in, it was a lot smaller than I imagined. You walk right into the dining and bar area where the Eggy’s sign is hanging(super cute!), and there are bathrooms and a waiting room towards the back. The wait was about 40ish minutes, so we stood/sat in the waiting room looking at the menu during that time. A lady came and handed out little pie appetizers while we were waiting, so that was super nice of her! They were mini pumpkin pies, and they were delicious! We finally got seated around 50 – 55 min. later(longer than anticipated), and the seating is like family style. You are very close to other people and tables. We ordered the Eggy’s Benedict, Chilaquiles, and a half order of pancakes. The Eggy’s Benedict was SO good — the pulled pork, poached egg and waffle were the perfect combination. The side of potatoes was delicious, too! I loved those. The Chilaquiles was super good as well, but a little cold. We barely touched the pancakes because we had SOMUCHFOOD. I tried a little bit though, and they were yummy! Overall, everything was slightly on the cold/luke-warm side… but I let it slide since the place was jam-packed at 12pm on a Sunday. Side note: The half order of pancakes was $ 2 on the menu, but we were charged $ 5.50. By the time we received our check and such, I didn’t have time to argue that/change it, so we had to just leave it at that. Kinda weird though. Eggy’s is a cute place to try, that’s for sure! I probably need to go on days that I have extra patience to wait super long for seats and food… or I would go back at a time after the rush. The server was helpful and sweet, the food looked pretty and was delicious(minus that it was slightly cold) … plus the menu looked amazing to try.

We decided to venture here after being turned away at two other places for a late brunch. I’m so glad we ended up here! This place specializes in what they call, «urban comfort food.» The area inside is small, but it’s a cool, cozy spot that is welcoming and warm. The menu is huge and it was tough deciding on what I wanted. I settled on the pastrami hash with a side pancake. The portions are huge and I had more than plenty to take home with me. It was so delicious. The entire experience. I can’t wait to go back and try more of their offerings! Tip: if you park in the garage next door, make sure to ask for parking validation from your waiter/waitress.

If you get nothing else, order the pancakes. We used to live across the street from here and anticipated the opening of Eggy’s for months!!! And it did not disappoint… I just wish it had opened earlier because we have now moved to a different part of downtown. :( The décor is very reminiscent of the cute breakfast joints in Chicago. It was bright and well lit from the huge windows. There are two entrances(one through the apartment lobby) but the host stand is by the sidewalk entry where there is a patio set up in the summer. This place does breakfast sooooo well. The first time we went, I got a pretty standard order of eggs and bacon but I got a pancake instead of toast… I looked at my boyfriend with watery eyes and a smiling mouth full of delicious pancake and almost cried! He laughed at my gluttony. But you’ll understand when you try them. The pancakes are extra fluffy and have a slight hint of coconut flavoring, and the waaaarm gooey syrup makes me want to swim in it. I usually never eat a breakfast of just pancakes but if I could only get one thing here, it would be the pancakes. Ok, I’ll quit gushing about the pancakes and talk about the rest of the items we had in the four or five trips we had here in the first week it opened. Haha. The omelettes are gigantic and always well made. They have many different choices and none of them disappoint. You cannot go wrong! Except maybe overeat. Don’t try to eat everything on your plate like I did. Your belly might pop. My BF had a waffle eggs Benedict with pulled pork and he was very pleased. Through out the entire breakfast, he didn’t talk to me because he was too busy eating. I had a bite of it and I forgave him. I don’t even like pulled pork! It’s very well paired with the sweetness of the waffle. The plain black house coffee tasted a bit burnt though. And the pastries by the counter/bar were cold but good. The OJ is fresh squeezed. The staff was very attentive and friendly but not too overbearing. My only complaint? They’re only open until 3pm I think. I sometimes want breakfast at 7pm… Mmmmm… Pancakes…

Eggy’s Diner just opened a week or so ago. I found it using the Unilocal app on my iPhone. Was looking for a breakfast place. The first place I selected — I found closed when I arrived. So next up was Eggy’s — I’m glad I found it! It was a Tuesday morning — Eggy’s is located in a downtown area close to office buildings and condos — there were only two other customers when I arrived. I opted to sit at the counter. I ordered the Spanish omelette with a side of bacon and a cup of coffee. The omelette came out fairly quickly and looked good! It was loaded with fresh Jalapeño slices(not pickled ones — which I hate in Omelettes) and Chorizo. As usual, I added a dose of black pepper and hot sauce — in this case they also offered Sriracha sauce — which I love on eggs. Overall, very tasty as was the bacon. Coffee was solid. Staff was very friendly and outgoing. They told me they have been open for a week or so. Definitely would come back here for breakfast again!

It was my in-laws last Sunday before heading south for the winter so we decided to try eggys for breakfast after finding them on Unilocal. There were 6 of us so we were able to try lots of things on the menu which was good because there are lots of choices. All the food was tasty, hot and fresh and the service was good. Since they had only been open 3 weeks, they must have stopped by 6 times to see if everything was good and if we were happy. I really enjoyed the chicken and waffles-a big crispy Belgian waffle with a small half chicken with extra crispy skin and fried a deep golden brown. The cinnamon roll pancakes were a treat too as were the many styles of eggs Benedict. The menu had plenty of good sounding items making it a bit tricky to choose. The fried potatoes were ok, I would have liked them to be more crisp and less soft but they still tasted good. It took a bit for the food to arrive but as it was a Sunday, we were certainly in no rush at all. There are a few tables outside for those sunny Indian Summer days or when summer arrives again. This place is energetic and the servers all seem happy to be working there-they helped set a positive tone for the rest of the day. It’s not a very big place but we had no problem getting a table at 9 when we walked in. Once it gets discovered, that is likely to change. Recommended.
