This place has awesome cocktails and a great atmosphere! I love trying new drinks, and talking to the bar tenders. The only thing I’m not crazy about is their food. Don’t get me wrong, it’s good, but not great. Definitely worth going in for drinks though.

Went back here for dinner and it was great! Yummy drinks and food. I had an old fashioned and would certainly order it again. The server was excellent and very helpful in our selections. I think I actually liked it more than their brunch. Which is out of character for me. I’m all about brunching. A bit too pricey for an everyday type of restaurant, but nice for a «TREATYOSELF» night out!

First stop I made once I landed in Minneapolis. I had the Fried Egg BLT with their house hot sauce(which i bought to take home — THATGOOD) on the side plus their mimosa. Absolutely delicious and beautiful presentation. Sorry for no pics of food, but definitely a delicious spot!

I always make a point to order the chicken wings. They’re honestly top 3 in the world. I just can’t think of the Other two. Had the lobster croissant for the first time. Now I’ve got another reason to come here on Saturday brunch. Now that Vincent’s is closed, ESS takes over best hand made burger in town. Their rolling menu of crafted cocktails will tickle any palate. This stop is a must do for anyone visiting Minneapolis. If you’re hosting friends from out of town… impress them, especially the foodies.

We shared the calamari appetizer. I had the salmon special(served with fingerling potatoes and a veggie hash) –delish! My husband had the burger and fries and he loved it! My daughter had a mixed green salad and the chef cut sirloin(I believe) and her husband had the lamb chops which they both said were terrific. We enjoyed nicely crafted cocktails all around! We all thought the atmosphere was fun and the food and service were very good and we will certainly return:)

I didn’t like this place and I will not try it again for many reasons: 1. They were very slow, i.e. it took them 15min to bring me a bottle of beer, and 45 min to prepare a salad and a small dish(on a Thursday night) 2. The food was mediocre. I ordered gnocchi small dish + Arugula salad(because their only vegetarian entrée is falafel!). Believe it or not, the salad was a handful of Arugula with a bit of oil + 3 – 4 toasted nuts. The gnocchi dish was tasteless. In fact, the only dressing was oil, just like the salad! I expected much better food for 17 $! 3. The portions were very small. My friends ordered fish entrée, and what they got was a small piece of fish with barely any dressing or sides. 4. Finally, there is no parking, and even on a Thursday night it was difficult to find parking there.

Hello sophisticated brunch. I’m slowly getting accustomed to Minnesota brunch which somehow manages to a meal that’s traditionally eggs, sausage, bacon, and homefries cooked in butter somehow healthy. I’m prefer to the heartiness of southern brunch, but Eat Street Social does bring something different to the brunch table. We ordered a couple of different meals and drinks for the table. First off, I’m going to start with the brunch drinks — they bloody maries should be heavily considered. The«Mary of the Summer» provides some unique herbiness to a typical bloody mary that made it actually drinkable. I’m typically not a bloody mary fan because I think it’s bland tomatoes, but Eat Street Social’s concoction is worth a try. Our table had also ordered some«Vietnamese Mariposas,» which looked better on the menu than it actually tasted. It’s very sweet and easy to drink, but not something I really wanted with brunch. For the food, I would say be adventurous on the brunch menu. There’s some cool things to try. Shrimp and Chorizo Ranchero — I would definitely order this again. It’s a build it yourself kind of dish so you have the eggs, beans, and shrimp/chorizo on the plate with a side of corn tortillas. It gets a bit messy, but completely worth it. The shrimp and chorizo are in this red semi-spicy sauce that’s absolute magic. Salmon Cream Cheese En Croute — these pastry puffs come stuffed with the salmon cream cheese and a side salad. It’s light and refreshing take on brunch. Whipped Brie and Jalapeño Crêpe — I wasn’t a huge fan of this dish as I’m partial to sweet crepes over savory cheese and eggs crepes. Also it was pretty standard food compared to some of the more unique plates that they offer. It didn’t seem like you could go wrong with anything you ordered here. The overall bill was a bit pricey for brunch and one drink($ 25 per person) so I don’t think I’ll be making it a habit to stop by, but I would definitely recommend if you’re looking for brunch in the area!

Eat Street Social was a great first stop on my Minneapolis trip a few weekends ago. We made a reservation for a friend’s birthday and called to say we were running about 15 minutes late due to traffic. When we arrived our table wasn’t ready, and we were guided towards the bar to order drinks. A host then approached us and said the drinks were on the house since our reserved table wasn’t ready until almost 40 minutes after we set the reservation. First save of the night. The atmosphere was so cool and relaxed but lively we didn’t even notice the long wait for our table. Service was phenomel. I wish I could remember the name of our server(short platinum pixie cut) — YOUWEREAWESOME! We started off with their featured sausage appetizer and calamari. Calamari was the freshest I have had, and I am not usually a fan of battered and fried fish. Sausage… wow. My mouth is watering thinking about it right now. For the entrée my friend and I split the Arugula salad and the duck. The duck was also the best I have ever had. Not too greasy or gamey. I would travel back to Minneapolis just for the duck. Moscow Mule was top of the line… cute face, little waist… with a big… BANG. Strong and I couldn’t even tell. Just how I like it. The ginger candy it is served with was such a beautiful touch. I love my copper cups but the elegance of the way they serve them was top notch. Overall the atmosphere is what was my favorite part of the whole evening. So fun and very New Yorker vibe for me. Beautifully decorated. We sat on the bar side with the big booths and I was nervous it was going to be too loud but the booths are so high that they do an excellent job on making the dinner still intimate.

Attended here on a very busy night. We got a bar seat which was fine but the chairs are extremely uncomfortable. Cocktails are decent but not the best I’ve had. I’m sure they have one that I would like but I’m not very interested in going again. We went when I was hungry and this is not a place for food. Overpriced and overdone. The only thing I could eat on the menu were the grits with shrimp. There was way too much to the dish and it was difficult to finish. Greens on shrimp on grits. Too much. The crowd seemed older to me and I felt like a child where I shouldn’t have been. Not a very comforting atmosphere.(I’m older than I look!)

Delicious! From the hand crafted cocktails to the small plates to the meals everything is delicious. I’ve had prompt, friendly service every time. Wish I lived closer so I could be a regular. Yum! Tonight I enjoyed the vanity cocktail and the fried pork burger on a pretzel bun for dinner.

Great service, drinks and most importantly the FOOD! Celebrated a family birthday and we had all ages including our 13 month old. Attentive and fun wait staff. Recommendations were spot on. All of the Aps were on point and delicious, smoked pork chop was the BEST, scallops were better than any place in Mpls(including Oceanaire, Sea Change, etc.), salmon dish was the special and it was great, desserts were fab! Coffee is Strong too! Great place and food!

Eat Street Social offers some tasty brunch options and brunch cocktails. Some friends and I split the poutine, which on first look did not look appetizing, but turned out to be delicious. There were a ton of cheese curds in the poutine and not a ton of gravy, which kept the fries crunchy. I ordered the french toast and it was very good, and also a very large portion size. The décor of Eat Street Social was the topic of most of our conversation… very eclectic with a gothic vibe. They have nice outdoor seating, which would be really nice on a warm day.

This place offers an awesome, cool Vibe. Came here for brunch and was very pleased. I don’t remember what I had but it was some sort of salad, which I can’t seem to find the name of it on their menu online… but, it was very delicious, light and a good portion to fill you up. In addition, I had the Le Tigre mimosa. It wasn’t the greatest drink in my book. It tasted a little bland and had a super spicy jalapeño kick to it that did not go down my throat very well. The customer service was amazing! Our lady waitress(wished I had jot her name down) was awesome & so helpful with giving recommendations. She had a friendly, cool attitude and came by frequently to refill our glasses of water & clear our table. Overall, I had a good experience and will surely be back again!

After walking in and especially after seeing the lofty menu prices, I tried my best to remain snide about this bourgeoisie«gourmet bistro». But even a peasant like me could taste the detailed craftsmanship in that Pan Seared Opah. Truly a cornucopia of delicately placed flavors. My friend and I were splitting everything and Operation Dessert Nom was solved by ordering both the Butterscotch Pretzel-Bread Pudding and the Coeur a la Crème(French for Oreo cheesecake-mousse sandwich-thing). The first phase was decent, but the second was a decadent victory. It even came with a miniature dunking pail of full fat milk to invoke the classic Oreo experience. The service was among the most attentive I’ve ever had. Towards the end of the meal, I found myself confusedly clinking my drank goblet with a sequence of young men, who simply smiled«it’s tradition» and moved to their next clink target. Soon after, I realized they were the waiters and the place is called Eat Street Social. What a cute idea! Camaraderie was built and I was off on my merry way holding the leftover spoils of the meal. TL;DR: $$ but well worth the visit at least once(i.e., go with your parents or nearest available financially stable adult)

Thoroughly impressed with Eat Street Social and can’t wait to go back. Not sure why, but I had the mistaken idea that Eat Street Social was a gimmicky place downtown. Sat on the generously-sized patio on a recent beautiful summer night. Our server was attentive and knowledgable. I asked for recommendations for my cocktail as we’d heard they served a good drink, and she led me to an alcoholic drink(can’t recall the name) with tea and it was refreshing and delicious. We enjoyed eyeing the concoctions other tables drank, as well. To start we shared a French baguette that was served with the most heavenly garlic butter. I wanted to take it home with me. Next we shared a Bibb salad. Tender lettuce and a dressing so bright and fresh it was as though eat bite was a little taste of summer. Pistachios added a nice crunch and texture. Though we considered the Chicken and Waffles we ultimately chose the Smoke Pork Chop and were nearly groaning with delight. The pork could have been cut with a fork, and came with an English muffin bread pudding. The most amazing part was the sauce that was underneath it all… the menu says it was a carbonara(bean asparagus carbonara, to be precise) and it was fantastic, a perfect accompaniment. Creamy, not too heavy. Will definitely be eager to return.

What a great place for a weekend brunch. The place has a really cool vibe. We were seated by an open window which was perfect for the day; the sun was shining with a cool breeze, and had the opportunity to drink and people watch. The establishment has wearhouse/old fashioned saloon look with exposed brick and duct work, and tin ceilings. The drink menu is nice and has something for everyone, and management put some effort in their offerings. Food was quite good. I had the Chicken Fried Steak(CFS). This was very enjoyable. The big surprise on this meal was the CFS was hand made and not from a food distributor. The gravy was nice however a little on the scant side, and you can’t go wront with grits for your starch. This meal along with one of their bloody marys earns you a leisurely ride home to take a nap, and a wonderful feeling of accomplishment.

WHAT A FOODADVENTURE! It was awesome that we found a parking spot in their lot, parking down in the Nicollet area is or can be a nightmare. We came for dinner at 6 pm, so a little earlier than the dinner rush on a Friday night, we had reservations and were seated right away. The restaurant was quite a dark place and its got kind of an old building feel to it. Not a whole lot of décor in the place and I was not quite sure what kind of theme they were trying to go for. Let’s talk about the food, it was FABULOUS! I was very impressed and happy that they had an extensive non alcoholic beverage selection! I ordered the Orange Dreamsicle Fountain drink which was AMAZING, I can’t even describe how heavenly or delicious it was, just know that I had 2. The downside about the beverage was that they put WAY too much ice even though I asked for none to less ice. Alot of places will add alot of ice to make it look like you are getting alot of product for your money. For a starter my mother in law and I ordered the Braised Leek Soup(thick, creamy bisque texture), very scrumptious but a smidge on the salty side. The bread accompanying it was soft, warm and tasty. She and I then shared the very tasty scallops appetizer or small plate which came with a fritter cake. The scallops were perfect but as for the fritter cake it was bland, so I feel like I could have done without it. As for the main course I ordered the Chicken and Waffles(it is NOT your traditional chicken waffles) and it was quite different but it was well done and yummy. My thought on this visit is that it was a whole roller coaster of great flavors! The portions were very reasonable and appropriate. The only downers of Eat Street Social is that the noise level here was very high and the lighting was quite poor. Other than that I would totally reccommend that this is a place to experience and the service was superb — friendly, courteous and formal. A+ on service here!

You know when you walk into an establishment, and immediately it wows you and you desperately want to enjoy every second of your visit there. The food is absolutely number one, large quality portions, drinks are absolutely spectacular, coffee is good, wicker seats are adorable, the host is charming, pleasant and the whole restaurant is an all-round joy to be around. You’re thinking, oh this is such a fabulous place. And then your server arrives. And the whole experience falls completely flat. That is what happened at our Brunch before Habsburgs at the MIA. Our server was completely inattentive, we sat for a good 10 – 15 minutes before we even saw him approach because we were eager to order coffee. But he approached only to tell us he’d be «right with us». Another 10 minutes went by and the Habsburgs art display was aging even faster as we sat. The restaurant was almost empty, except for maybe 3 other tables of brunchers. If it had been super busy I would totally understand. We had to ask for cream and sugar at least three times, and he came back to our table those three times to ask how things were, but he came empty-handed, so again we had to «remind» him. The constant reminding for coffee, cream and other condiments got old real fast, and eventually, after an exhausting game of hunting-and-pecking for service, we finished our delicious breakfast sandwiches, Bloody Mary, and only on our 2nd cups of coffee, we decided it wasn’t worth the energy to ask for more since the first two times were quite a struggle. Not entirely put off(we’d probably return if service was a complete improvement) we left full and sufficiently caffeinated but we knew we would probably have to stop at Spyhouse for a top up. Overall, beautiful looking restaurant and bar area. The other cocktails on the menu looked fantastic, and my Mary of the Summer Bloody Mary was strong and superb. Food, interior and ambience — solid 10 out of 10.

I was able to convince my roommates to go out for a nice dinner with me. So this five-star review is dedicated to them. We arrived around 8pm on a Saturday, was told there was a 45 minute wait. A spot had just opened up at the bar so we were able to grab a cocktail while we waited. Our bartender was patient with us and our general lack of cocktail knowledge, and told us the story behind several of the cocktails on the menu. Part of what makes these pricey cocktails worth it is getting to see the bartenders prepare them. So much care goes into every drink! Just order something you think you’d like, ask for a taste or a recommendation, or challenge them to make something different. It only ended up being about a 20 minute wait, and the host kept us updated so that we’d be able to close our bar tab without leaving the table waiting. We were weary about potentially small portion sizes, but the plates are just full enough. We ordered the gnocchi, halibut, and sirloin. The gnocchi and halibut were so good, but I think the sirloin has shifted the future course of my dining life. I used to have all these ideas about what kinds of food I prefer. I rarely order a dish where a hunk of meat/fish/bird is the focus. But this steak was so good, I literally didn’t stop talking about it for the rest of the night. Why don’t I ever order steak? What else have I been missing out on? Who have I become? Anyways, moving on. The atmosphere is upscale and modern but cozy. There’s lots of mention of Don Draper in reviews, but rest assured that this isn’t anything like a 1950s steakhouse. The service. What smart, informative, beautiful staff. Not pretentious at all. Just friendly and good. Everyone. From the bartenders to the food runners. I hope to be back very soon(because WTF there’s a tiki bar in the back??).
