One of Challenges that often goes unnoticed about moving to a new area is finding a good barber. Thankfully, I found one on my first attempt! I have very fine hair that seems to be difficult to cut and style without making my head look like a lopsided peach so I am very picky about the skills of my barber. The last couple times I moved to a new area it took me months to find a quality barber. I am so glad that Custom Trim was my first stop – they will be cutting my hair for as long as I am in the Twin Cities! The location is in a strip mall on the north west corner of 55 and Winnetka Ave in Golden Valley. They layout is classic and contemporary at the same time. They have a variety of rocking chairs to wait in and a stack of men’s interest magazines to keep you occupied while you wait. They also have a big screen TV(tuned to the Golf Chanel during my visit) above the waiting area that you can watch while getting your cut. They offer a full menu of barber services from a simple trim to a wash and trim or a hot lather shave. They also give you a neck shave with your hair cut – bonus! The two ladies working were friendly and pleasant during my visit. They seemed to be familiar with a few of the regulars that came in. The price is well worth it. Of course, it costs more than SuperCuts but prime rib also costs more than ground round. Take your pick. To me, it is well worth it. They take their time and make sure that everyone leaves a happy customer. I sure did!
