We stopped in on a Sunday, out and about doing some antique shopping and I was so happy we walked in here! Not only was the owner extremely friendly, but she was also very helpful! While we are always looking for old wooden pieces(oak and other nice woods), we weren’t able to find what we were looking for on this day, it’s still fun to browse. The owner did suggest where we might look though. Yes, she was at a computer, but I’m pretty sure she was looking something up for another customer that was there in the middle of a conversation. If I’m ever looking for a nice antique wooden piece, I’ll for sure make this one of my stops. Also, nothing is painted, true, but everything is stained for it’s time… it’s not unfinished pieces. There is nothing better than a classic oak piece to make you appreciate fine craftsmanship!

The inventory is always amazing. However the owner would rather be on her computer than talk or answer questions. So although I love the inventory, I would never buy anything from such a rude small business owner.

City Chic is a bit of a misleading name for this shop. It’s not really what I would call«chic» or «urban.» It’s mainly large pieces of wooden(mostly unpainted), country-style furniture and rocking horses. I kid not. Lots of rocking horses. If you’re looking for what look to be handmade rocking horses, I can’t think of a better place in town. On the furniture end, the selection is not at all my style but that’s not to say that it’s bad. Just not my thing, so I can’t knock ‘em for that. The offer free local delivery.
