I tried this place today with a groupon. I had the italian beef and italian sausage sandwich with melted mozzarella. It was really good. The beef and the sausage both had a lot of italian flavor. It is huge, I couldn’t eat it all. I would definitely recommend this place. It was pretty full on a Thursday for lunch – so other people obviously agree.

Now my little people have a favorite food spot! And they know where it is when we are in the neighborhood! It’s gonna be really hard not to eat here more often! Win win Win! Good Food and Family!

I think this place is ok, but 4 stars because my SOLOVES it. Lol. Pizza is good and my SO likes the mini donuts, too.

I’ve been here many times over the years, even back when it was Joey D’s. The food as been consistent, tasty and fresh. They have everything from chili cheese dogs(my favorite), Italian Beef sammies, Chicago style dogs, chicken wings, gyros, burgers and pizza. Unfortunately it’s not Chicago style deep dish pizza but am wiling to forget that as the pizza they do make is pretty good too. The menu is pretty large and with the exception of the pizza the food is generally ready within 5 minutes. The chili cheese dogs are loaded with chili, onions and cheese, so much so you almost need a fork to finish all the goodness. Tater tots have an option of a seasoned sour cream that’s worth the additional charge. They fill their Italian beef sandwiches with so much meat it overflows the roll. Get it with mozzarella… just saying. The chicken wings are actually parts of the wing but have a good rub or seasoning on them. I haven’t gotten around to trying the burgers yet.

Love this neighborhood gem! I’ve been stopping here for years and have consistently experienced great service and delicious food. Of course the hot dogs are wonderful, but the Italian beef sandwiches are top notch too. Chris & Rob’s is one of my favorite places in the neighborhood.

After a day of golf on Sunday after the 4th of July, stopped in to get my fix of italian beef & sausage sandwiches. Add the cheddar and hot peppers, you won’t regret it. The sandwiches were awesome. Some of the best I’ve had outside of Chicago. I also picked up a prime rib sandwich and chili cheese fries to go. I was expecting the fries to be soggy by the time I got home, but they were surprisingly crisp and the chili and cheese used were delicious. Great stuff guys, keep up the good work!

Great place to stop if you’re in the mood for a hot dog. Large outdoor seating area. Fully loaded Chicago dog is a must try. The tator tots are awesome too. Looking forward to finally trying some of their pizza!

I have placed many order’s with this place and have always had good tasting food and ok customer service, however they recently messed up a to go order and I didn’t realize until I was home so I called and they credited my account for next time. When I called a week later they did not have any record of the credit nor would they give me the credit that I was promised over the phone. It is too bad that they would lose a customer over a mistake they made. I really did enjoy the food.

Solid Chicago hot dog, pretty good chili-cheese dog and a good Italian beef! I got a cheesy beef sandwich which is the best I’ve ever had while being in Minneapolis! Next time I’m going to ask for it dipped. Prices are fair and the owner was awesome! He is actually from Chicago and knew a ton of stuff about Chicago restaurants! He was really friendly and we enjoyed talking to him while we waited for our order. We took our food to go but I’m looking forward to going back and eating in. There is a lot of Chicago memorabilia that I want to take a closer look at the next time we stop in. I know that will be soon because there are lots of items on the menu that I’m looking forward to trying! Mmmm… hot dogs are so good!!!

What you’d expect. Great greasy Chicago food. Tastes great. I especially like their Italian Beef sandwich. Add mozzarella cheese and peppers and its a masterpiece. The in-store staff are sometimes a bit short but it’s also understandable with how busy they always are. Their delivery drivers have always been very pleasant and punctual. This is a great spot to stop in and watch a game as well. They have a pretty big projection screen in back and a few arcade games as well. I really like this place and often make it a point to introduce people to it that haven’t been here before. Very original.

The best Chicago Beef and Hot Dog place outside of Chicago itself. Get the beef with polish combo and your stomach will thank you. Your heart won’t, as you can feel your arteries clog, but that’s a small price to pay for a taste of Chicago right in Minneapolis. Hang out and try to beat my record on Big Buck Hunter of you dare!

The Food is usually Excellent, However the bitchin’ Chicken Wings were awful. They were undercooked and had some blood near the bones. They also tasted weird. They need to be cooked longer and they need to come up with a new recipe. HOWEVER The Cheesy Beef with peppers was delicious! Next time I’ll make sure to get it with cheddar. But still, so good! The Fries were good. My brother got the California Burger and he loved it. My mom tried the Cheesy Beef with Cheddar, no peppers and she loved her sandwich. There are a few other sandwiches I can’t wait to try. They might want to rethink some of the side dishes.

Came here for lunch, order a chicago dog, italian sausage and tater tots with cheese and a soda. Came out to $ 18 w/o tip…(and yes, you should tip the guy taking your order and making your food) The chicago dog itself was pretty small but delicious, the italian was huge. There was no point in trying to shove it into a bun. The place was clean but pretty empty during lunch time. I’ve got something negative to say about this place. Had a great experience. I would come back again. I just hope this place stays open long enough for me to come back…

This was one of the best sandwiches I’ve had. Probably one of the best meals I’ve had while in Minnesota. I had the sausage and beef combo which was the best of both worlds. It was spicy but not crazy to remove the taste and flavor.

Uhh I hate to write it — but the truth is the burger I ordered was very mediocre. Salty on a wonder bun… at least that’s what it tasted like. If you’re not into healthy eating — you will have no problem grubbing out. Maybe I should’ve went for the hot dog. :)

The dogs are good. But the owner is a d bag. Very rude to his safe. I was in there once and he was talking down to a lying Mexican kid working there. It was terrible. Dude a jerk and they will never get a cent from me Plus it ain’t like real dogs in Chicago. Trust me!

So I grew up in Chicago and I LOVE to eat … so I consider myself an expert in this arena ;-). This place was darn good. I had Italian beef/sausage combo and the onion rings and it was good. My wife got a hot dog and she was happy too. We moved here a few months ago and I’m very happy to know that anytime I get homesick and have a hankerin for Italian Beef I have a place to go! As a matter of fact … I think I’m due.

As long as weather permits, I always hit here for my Chicago dog and polish dog fix. There just the perfect mixture of meat to vegetable ratio in both dogs. I just wish we had Chris and Rob’s back in Los Angeles.

2nd time here and worst than the first. Its in my neighborhood and I love Chicago theme hot dog joints. Its dirty, the service and time it takes to get food is awful. My wife got the dog and she said never again. I had the italian beef and it was gross. I went back and took my brother in law because like I said I like these types of places. We both had a burger for $ 4.99, nothing comes with it and it was just a precooked burger that had been nuked. It wasn’t even hot. What the hell am I waiting for? 1 order of fries that was super small and $ 15 later I’m burping up this crap. I could have gone to Burger King and had better, I don’t like fast food places though. Most of these places that serve the Vienna Beef are good. They open a place like that because they enjoy the food and types of people that come in. The Vienna Beef is standard and its a turn key operation but you have to care a little bit. Most of the places like this have a signature thing like chili or slaw. I can get Vienna Beef all over town, no problem. I could probably get it without the crap service, dirty location, high prices and the rest of the people who frequent this place. You’ve got nothing I can’t get somewhere else. Stop advertising you’re just wasting the money.

Hubby had to have a hot dog, I mean c’mon it is the 4th of July. We googled, we Unilocaled. We decided this would be the place. It’s a total fast food joint with a patio. Mike ordered the Chicago Dog with fries and I being the healthy eater just went with the chicken breast sandwich. It was very reasonable, inexpensive to be quite honest. Food gets delivered to the table and I realized there were no condiments on the table. I was instructed that I would need to go inside to get my ketchup. Mike said that his Chicago Dog was okay. My chicken breast tasted that it was originally frozen. The flavor was not great. Really boring even with the seasoning they sprinkled on it. I will say this, the fries were perfect. We took the scenic route home and by scenic I mean, he drove through McDonalds cause he was still hungry. Probably a fun place ton run in with the kids. Affordable and quick. We wouldn’t go back but hey, it was an adventure
