Wow. What a great find and asset to the neighborhood. Quaint and welcoming. Went for lunch today and everything looked, smelled, and sounded great. Settled on a half pastrami sandwich and the beef brisket soup. FAN-tastic. Soup felt and tasted handmade and with superior ingredients. Pastrami was piled high, solid bread, and just a little slaw and mustard. Let the meat speak for itself. I’ll be back — mostly for lunch, i assume — and it would take a lot to lose that fifth star. I put $$ on price as with lunch and any drink, you do go over $ 10. A sixth star if i could get lunch and a drink for under $ 10, but it is 2016, i suppose.

I just tried their full service dinner the other day. There are some new options on the dinner menu that are not on the regular menu. They also serve some local taps and nice wines for dinner. The pork sausage bahn mi was amazing! That has to be the best sausage Ive ever had. The pastrami is always good here and the chicken cesar salad is very good as well. I really enjoyed the beer cheese soup made with summit EPA. Ill definitly be stopping in again for another pork bahn mi sausage!

I went to try dinner on a Saturday night — the website said it was open until 10. I got there about 9:10 and found it closed. It looked like there were waitstaff there(but no customers). The doors were locked, closed sign was up and no one was making eye contact. I went home and checked the website, sure I’d made a mistake, but it still said open ’til 10. I have a Groupon to use, so I’ll try another time and report on the food — if I can catch it open!

I recently met a former colleague here for lunch knowing I had wanted to try this spot for a long time. Of course, I didn’t come with a huge appetite and thought I would be missing out by ordering a salad and cup of soup. I got the small Greens Salad and a cup of the Lentil and Ham soup. Ordering and serving was quick even with a good size crowd and service was friendly. I was absolutely wrong about thinking this was just soup and salad. The Greens salad was a beautiful mix of greens with ample herb-age, shaved fennel and a citrus fennel vinaigrette. Sounds simple but was the most satisfying and fresh salad I have had in awhile. Immediately regretted not getting the full size even though I had plenty in front of me. The lentil soup was a perfect finish and came with a soft, delicious piece of bread for dipping. I proudly went back the next day to get the full size salad. Amazing! My only complaint would be the price. It is definitely worth it but not something I want to do everyday.

Disappointed. Description & reviews made it sound so fabulous. Overpriced & mediocre deli food. Cole slaw was ok, the other 5 dishes were either underflavored or too salty or sweet. Prices on salads double that at Byerlys! Better meats at Kramarczk & Sikoras at better or same prices. Service friendly, ambiance nice, parking limited.

We ate here at 7:00 on a Saturday night, we were a group of 6. It was great because we had the entire place to ourself, which also was odd for the area on a Saturday night. Food and service was delicious though, can harpy wait to go back next month. I was the only one in our group that had teen there before but the rest of our group loved the change and were open to this unique place, they all gave it 5 stars.

If sandwiches were a food group, it’d probably be my favorite one. I know it’s a simple concept and generally utilitarian, but sometimes it’s hard to improve upon the basics. With that said, Be’wiched knows how to serve up some tasty things between a couple slices of bread. Many have already commented on the pastrami and I can only add on to the praise bestowed upon it. Although, somewhat surprisingly, their veggie burger(made up of primarily beets and mushrooms) is arguably my favorite item on the menu thus far. They also serve up brunch on the weekends, which has been enjoyable, save for the occasional overcooked egg. Overall, Be’wiched could be a paints-by-the-numbers concept, but solid ingredients and a comfortable setting elevate it beyond that.

I ordered a breakfast sandwich that was delicious and dripping with egg gooeyness. Yum. It was also huge.

This place can’t screw up a sandwich if they tried. I haven’t explored the salads or breakfast/brunch menu, but dayumnnnnn they kill it on the sandwiches! This place is great for a weekday lunch because its spacious and by the time you fill up your water glass, your order is already at your table. What?! For real. People love the pastrami here, but everything else I’ve had has been super delish too.

The sandwiches here are fantastic. If you’re tired of Jimmy Johns and Subway and want to treat yourself, this is a great option. I’m a huge fan of the pastrami sandwich; heaps of flavorful pastrami and pickled cabbage sandwiched between moist, chewy rye bread. And the mustard packs a complementary punch of flavor. The roast beef is also worth mentioning though my only gripe is that the horseradish is virtually nonexistent. When I see horseradish on a sandwich I expect to take a bite and have my nasal passages cleared. I always add my own horseradish when I get this sandwich. The atmosphere inside is very relaxed, bright, and airy. A great place to grab a quick bite with a friend or when going it alone. I prefer to just do take-out, as the wait usually isn’t long. I don’t recommend delivery, unless you’re feeding a crowd. Tried it once and was surprised when they tacked on a 10 dollar fee to a 20 dollar order without mentioning it prior to me on the phone(nor does it mention it on their site). They do have 4 dollar bike delivery but sadly I don’t live in range.

I have to say I’m not sure what the others on here ate. We just had quite possibly one of the blandest meals we’ve ever had. Both of us got the turkey because of the listed flavors. Picking out the various flavors in that sandwich is what I imagine it’s like for my hard of hearing grandmother trying to listen to a conversation being held by two whispering children on the opposite side of the room. Maybe the price of dates is so high they need to skimp? Even the turkey tasted like nothing. We also got the pasta salad. Again, nothing. We both decided we would’ve rather had the dreaded Subway for dinner and save $ 20. And in typical Minneapolis fashion the staff was rude and slow. Too good to offer up a smile or answer any questions in a friendly manner and apparently bothered that we entered the establishment.

Be’Wiched is a great and extremely underrated deli/café downtown. My husband and I live a block away, so its location is part of the reason we go here often for brunch. However, there are also a ton of places nearby that have brunch and none of them are as good as Be’Wiched.(I’m thinking particularly of a big brewhouse down the street with mediocre breakfast.) Anyways, if all you care about with brunch is getting drunk, then go elsewhere. Otherwise, if you want a great, fresh, and delicious breakfast… go here instead. I particularly love the challah french toast. If you are feeling lunch, all of their sandwiches I’ve had, I’ve loved. I also really like order-at-the-counter places for breakfast or lunch, since you usually just want to be in and then out quickly. You can’t go wrong here.

The place is cool looking. The food isn’t good at all. I got a turkey sandwich and my fiancé got the Italian sandwich. Very salty and weird tasting. Also the girls at the front were disrespectful talking about us as we walked away.

Excellent lunch with family. Pastrami is to die for! And we’re from New York, so we know good Pastrami.

Talk about an irritated staff. Foods good but it comes with a side of eye rolls and bad attitudes. Feels like everyone hates there job here… Which is odd bc it’s pretty nice in here! Cheer up bewitched staff. Life’s not that bad

My most recent Americano obliterated everything, past, present, and very likely future! I ordered a coffee, but as it was late in the day, our server suggested a fresh-maker, as opposed to what was sitting in the current pot. Naturally I opted for my go-to Bev, ignominious(in Italy) Americano! How good, you ask? Marvel’s agents of shield dispatched their finest to decipher the secrets… Don’t be surprised if the Doctor’s Tardis is blocking the entrance to Be’Wiched. Point is, I don’t know how they made it this AWESOME for my mouth and yes, I’d travel through time and space for another. Food is equally stunning! I feel lucky to live practically next door. Thank you for the wonderful experience! Thako

Go to Be’Wiched and expect a unique, inspired sandwich/entrée that may look«normal» at first, but always has a unique«twist» or «take» on the traditional version of that sandwich/dish. In my opinion, these are precisely-crafted, virtuosic works of culinary art and are worth every dollar. Have NEVER been disappointed, always happy with what’s on the plate!

I am really loving what the North Loop has become, and Be’Wiched Deli is a great place to get a sandwich, and what appears to be dinner soon, when you’re craving an artisanal creation. I love the Roast Beef Sandwich, and the potato salad and pickled cukes they give you on the side. The deli interior is very chill, and the employees are über friendly each time I have stopped in. I can imagine this place gets crazy over the lunch hour, and I have been fortunate to be in there during slow times. 9 bucks for a deli sandwich may come off as slightly expensive, but the quality is there… and the price seems to fit what you get It looks like they are planning to expand to dinner, and the choices I could see on the menu that stated«coming soon», made my mouth water waiting for my sandwich. It also looks like they are going to be open later hours, until 10… so I can get a sandwich later than 8pm coming soon!

To call Be’Wiched just a Deli, would be like called their neighbors next door(Bar La Grassa) just another pasta place. Sebastian Joe’s just another ice cream shop. Whole Foods just another grocery store. Target… just another Target-type-store. No ma’am B’Wiched is not a deli, it’s a magical kitchen of delicious yumminess. It’s a place that just does good food well. Really really well. I’ve tried the P&E(housemade errythang) and it’s DEEEELICIOUS and everything I want in a breakfast sandwich. Had salads, soups, sandwiches, the entire menu makes reconsider a move to the N. Loop so that B’W can be my breakfast/lunchANDdinnertime cheers. I honestly do not understand why Be’Wiched doesn’t get more press or lip service; this place is so great. COMEHERE!

I have now been to Be’Wiched twice in the past three weeks because I fell in love with their vegetable burger. I challenge meat eaters to try it. I was immediately drawn to the description on the menu because it isn’t a black bean burger — not to knock on them — but the roasted beets version that Be’Wiched created was a refreshing change of pace. The buns were fresh and wonderful both times too. The people I went with raved about their sandwiches as well, which makes me confident that Be’Wiched does just about everything right. The lines can be long, but the service is pretty quick so it is a good spot for a workday lunch. Parking was a nightmare when I went the second time(Friday lunch time), so opt for a walk-in if possible.
