We ate here last night to celebrate a birthday, and it was great! We had prompt and excellent service(although, we didn’t arrive until 8:30, so it wasn’t exactly crowded). I had one of the specials — goat cheese stuffed ravioli — and my boyfriend had a linguine dish with chicken. We were both pleased with our dishes. We both ordered Italian cocktails, which were excellent. We also had dessert — the crème brûlée — which was good. I was disappointed they were out of tiramisu, but I suppose that’s reasonable at 8:30 p.m. on a Saturday. I wouldn’t say the food is outstanding Italian, but the experience is lovely. It’s good food and great service. The food is not overpriced, but we felt like we had a fine dining experience. I would recommend it to a friend! I hope to go back and try their tiramisu one day!

Good pasta great service was very happy with my two times being here. The pasta is freshly made for some of the dishes which makes a huge difference in taste. The seating is a bit cramped but overall it’s an enjoyable atmosphere.

I’ve had some great experiences here in the past, but last week, it was just so-so. Ambiance and service were great, as usual, but the food was inconsistent. While we drank wine and ate appetizers, our neighboring table had to send back their pasta due to a big clump of half-cooked noodles. Not a great sign. I ordered the warm spinach(Spinaci alla Veneta) as a starter. But, it was SO salty that I couldn’t eat after a few bites, so had to send it back.(A bit of context: this is the first time in my life that I’ve sent back a dish for being too salty. Generally, salt is delicious.) Their second try was better in terms of saltiness, but was SO oily that my fork was actually dripping with each bite. Not wanting to send it back again, I used some bread to soak up the oil before each mouthful. On the bright side, entrees fared much better. We had Capellini from the menu and the Risotto daily special. Both were delicious. Guessing I’ll try again — maybe next summer to enjoy the patio — but this wasn’t a gotta-come-here-again-soon type of meal.

The one star is for service and ambience. Bad food. Super salty. Tasteless. Sticking to Broders, you get what you pay for. This restaurant has terrible food and overpriced. Yuckk. Left my food half eaten. Just ate the bread. Will not return.

Wow! What an awesome experience! We came in for dinner to celebrate something special and we were blown away by the friendly service and food/wine. The server treated us as though we were royalty but not too stuffy, more like family. No hovering. She always appeared at the right time. She even changed out the silverware and plates for the different courses. We ordered a calamari and bruschetta to start. Both amazing! Great flavor and the calamari was perfectly cooked. For dinner we ordered the fresh pasta. Good size portion and cooked al dente. This place is like stepping out of Minneapolis and into Italy. Super authentic food. The wine prices were well priced compared to the other restaurants in the area. The manager also stopped by to welcome us, as we mentioned we had never been here before. Nice touch Arezzo. We will be back!

Its a quaint little italian restaurant for sure. And maybe because it was friday night I feel like the service was less than stellar. After we were sat(as we had made reservations), we waited like 10 minutes to be greeted and asked for a drink order. Our friends already had one because they had been waiting at the bar for us to arrive. I wasn’t happy about this. I also wasn’t aware that they were beer and wine with a few fruity cocktails. No actual full bar options. I had a melon sangria which really wasn’t all that great-way too sweet. We split the Pappardelle Bolognese. This was very tasty. AS I said I do think they are pretty authentic italian. Our friend split the pork chop. They enjoyed it very much as well. The bread for the table was more of a flat bread and they had oil on the table but not balsamic and rosemary. I though this a bit odd. More over than anything we had a fabulous visit with friends whom we haven’t seen in years and the setting to have this reunion was comfortable and very much like a family home.

Thanks to my Unilocalpers for pointing me in a perfect direction again. First off, this place is cute and quaint. Second, the staff is friendly as can be. Lastly, the food was amazing. I had the Pappardelle Bolognese for dinner. The pasta was perfectly cooked, the sauce was full of flavor, and the portion was exactly the right size. I had the Cream Brulee for dessert and it, also, did not disappoint. The Brulee was crispy and gave that signature crack when tapped, you know it’s perfect when you hear that sound. The weather was absolutely beautiful so I took and outside seat. The location is on the corner so you get the feeling of being at a quaint outdoor piazza. Families walking by and cars buzzing around, All in all, I can’t think of a better experience I have had to date.

I wanted to like you Arezzo. You’re in the neighborhood where I grew up in, but my first(and possibly last) visit wasn’t too good. First off, there was dust in areas that was very noticeable. Now, on to the food. The bread they served us was fantastic. It came out of their wood fired oven, and it was delicious(2 stars for that). As for the entrees, that was another story. My partner got the salmon, and she said it was really good. But, this is my review. My food sucked balls. I ordered the Pollo Marsala(aka chicken Marsala), and it was completely, utterly, totally underseasoned. It was criminal how underseasoned my chicken was. I had to get the salt shaker out, and a little pepper didn’t hurt either. I can’t believe this was what I was served, and, to boot, it had a price tag of $ 18! WTF! When I spend twenty bucks on one plate of food I expect it to be good. Also, my asparagus with the chicken was almost inedible. The asparagus had not been trimmed properly, and the entire bottom parts were inedible. Again! WTF! You can’t trim asparagus? It’s that fucking hard?! So, anyway, I probably won’t be coming back soon. This meal was lackluster at best. If I get another groupon, I might come back and try the pizza and pasta. That’s supposed to be good, but who knows. I mean, if you can’t trim asparagus properly, what can you do right?

Old school for sure but not stuffy. The fresh pasta was made with love, but the plain red for the young one was equally satisfying for the diner. The server was very helpful with a wine choice. I’ve driven by many times and now wish we’d stopped in sooner!

This place has been a fixture at the corner of France and 51st for many years, and features Authentic and delicious Italian food including a number of house made pastas; I am particularly fond of the fettuccine with spicy sausage and a rich tomato sauce(Fettucinne Verdi alla salcicci). Service here is warm and friendly and on our most recent visit(a Summer Tuesday) they were featuring a fantastic«date night» deal(runs throughly 9÷8÷15) that gets you two glasses of wine, two salads, and two pastas or pizzas for the fantastic price of only $ 45(including tax). Regular price if bought same meal on the menu would be in the $ 60-$ 70 range so this is a nice savings. While not everything on the broad menu is included, they offer many of the favorites including my favorite Fettucinne and the the wonderful salad with Apple, avocado, craisins goat cheese and a delicious raspberry vinaigrette(has to be for me one of the tastiest summer salads in the twin cities). Your meal also comes with some bread-crispy pizza crust with rosemary and olive oil and a touch of salt — that is a great accompaniment without filling you up. The place can feel a little cozy with small tables close together, but it is very reminiscent of the places in Rome or Tuscany with the same authentic cuisine and welcoming atmosphere. Our waiter, Shawn did a nice job as well. The only negative is that they don’t take reservations, but you can call ahead and get on the list. They are pretty busy on Saturday nights and even on Tuesday(date night) they were pretty Busy although we stopped in at 6;45 and got a table without a wait. Highly recommended.

We used a Groupon here and it was our first time at the restaurant as well. He service was superb and we sat out on the patio. Not a great selection of wine and of course it was overpriced. I had a sausage dish with a red sauce was good and filling. My husband had a dish that had ground up beef and pork which the red sauce on that was Amazing! His portion was smaller than mine. The homemade pasta is amazing. I’ve never had anything like it. However I’m not sure I would pay $ 18 per entrée given the small portion sizes.

Service was good, the fresh pasta was just so so compared to other places like Bar La Grasa in downtown Minneapolis. The prices were also a bit steep, and the overall experience was just mediocre in my opinion. I probably won’t go back.

Arezzo is an old school Italian restaurant in Edina… and that is a good thing. You gotta support the institutions or else they will close. The food was good — I had the strangolapreti, and the scallopini vitello — both were very competent and great for the taste buds. I think I’d like to give a 4… but we went for the Tuesday date night deal and I was disappointed that it was a significantly reduced menu that if you do the math essentially gave you a small discount. We ended up skipping the date night menu and did the full deal — good for deliciousness but not as good for our wallet as we might have expected.

We went in as a group of four. This was our first time at this restaurant. We aren’t familiar with the area and just picked it off a list. What an amazing find! All of us were very happy with the drinks, entrees, and desserts we selected. I thought the portions were the right size and prices were good, especially when you consider the quality of the food and service. We arrived about 20 minutes before the restaurant opened, which we didn’t realize, but the hostess let us in and seated us anyway, thanks to our server Chris. Chris was an amazing server. He was friendly, had a sense of humor, made great recommendations, and was attentive without being intrusive(my favorite trait). I thought his service was impeccable and his recommendations were spot on. For an entrée, I selected the ravioli stuffed with goat cheese. I picked this based on Chris’s recommendation(he said it was his favorite dish) and great description. The flavor combination was incredible. The pasta was cooked correctly, instead of being soft. For dessert I chose the chocolate soufflé with ice cream. Chris suggested this dessert for chocolate lovers. It was wonderful – sweet, delicious, chocolaty. The soufflé was filled with dark chocolate, which normally I don’t enjoy, but it went great with the homemade ice cream. I felt it came with the perfect amount of ice cream. It tasted decadent and satisfied my sweet tooth but didn’t leave me feeling ready to pop. I drank water with dinner. My water glass was kept full throughout the meal and dessert(another favorite). My cousin ordered spaghetti carbonara. He was very pleased with his choice. His dish was also cooked perfectly, which is tricky with the egg and pasta combination. For dessert he chose the crème brûlée and a cappuccino. Normally we all share bites, but his was so amazing he didn’t want to share(he caved later so he could try my aunt’s tiramisu). He said it was one of the best he’d ever tried. My aunt ordered a drink called a Betty Aperol. It has an Italian apertif that tastes orange-y with orange and grapefruit juice(another thumbs up from Chris on this drink). My aunt and uncle both liked her drink. For dinner, my aunt ordered the gnocchi in alfredo. It was cooked perfectly. The gnocchi was soft and just seemed to melt in your mouth. She lived in Italy for a few years and she stated that the food we got tonight was amazing. For dessert she ordered her favorite, tiramisu, also with a cappuccino. The flavor and texture were excellent. My uncle had a drink called the Americano Aperol. It was the only thing we ordered that didn’t get both thumbs up. It smelled very potent. My uncle ordered the veal with the wine and mushroom sauce. He was pleased with his entrée. For dessert he chose a double shot of espresso and torta di ricotta, a cheesecake with raspberry sauce. I thought the raspberry sauce was amazing.

Excellent service and delicious food!!! For appetizers, we had the Assorted Cheeses, Calamari, and Bruschetta. All were very pleasing to the palate. We shared an assortment of entrees and salads, all delicious. I would recommend sharing so you can try several entrees. Same for desserts which are always fun to share. Give this place a try!!!

I just went again last night and oh what I would not give to just spend a little time in the kitchen with Chef Sergio. I had a featured gnocchi with Asigo cheese and walnuts – oooooh lala — tenderoni Some other foods at the table were the fettuccini with some type of ragu – absolutely delicious so fresh tasting We enjoyed a wood fired pizza also – these crust the cheese the sausage cannot say enough – top notch. We had a very drinkable bottle of Chianti for the table and enjoyed every last drop We finished off the meal with a wonderful warm chocolate desert which just put the entire experience right over the top… and sent me to my happy place. I think this is my favorite place to eat in the area!

I walked in for lunch and the place was dark with all the chairs up on the table; unfortunately a crew was making repairs on the roof, making it too loud inside the restaurant to be open. But the manager generously said I could eat if I didn’t mind the noise, so I dined alone in a dark closed restaurant. The pesto gnocchi was engrossing, I must not be a gnocchi connoisseur, because I don’t know if it was«good» or not, but I really enjoyed it. The pesto was less creamy/fatty that I was used to and more herby, so a refreshing variation. And the tomato soup was delectable, in quite a fancy bowl. I was served by the manager as there was no wait staff, so I can’t comment on the service. And the construction above me did not ruin a good meal.

We ate at Arezzo this week and each had one of the weekly specials. Ravioli di Zucca House-made pumpkin ravioli, served in a light butter-sage sauce, with fresh diced tomatoes and a dusting of crumbled lady fingers. Costine di Vitello Braste Braised veal short ribs in a Chiante wine sauce. Served with mashed potatoes and sautéed spinach. The ravioli was very good but a smaller portion. The veal was excellent and the sauce out of this world. Portion size was good on the meat but they could have included more potatoes. The size was smaller than 3 regular size marshmallows(maybe 2 ½). Service was good. Prices are higher but it is 50th& France. We each ordered tiramisu to go and it was dry and bland. They need to add a little more liquid and that would solve the problem.
