My pregnant friend and I went to pick up our food. The man was SUPER rude to us so badly that we ended up walking out. Not only is their food terrible but their attitudes are worse. If you’re in the mood for Chinese food do not go here

After years of not eating Chinese food after a roach incident from Empire Garden in New Hyde Park, I finally found another place that I was really happy with. My whole family also started ordering from here. I have been eating at Panda House for quite a while… until recently.
The last time I ordered, the food tasted different, but I thought maybe it was just a one-​time thing and I would give it another shot. Mistake! My husband brought home food and it was outright disgusting. The chicken and broccoli was mushy, greasy, slimy and flavorless and the dumplings had the strangest smell and flavor. I literally gagged. I couldn’t put my finger on the taste… it wasn’t anything I could even describe, but it made me absolutely sick. So that was the second time we ordered that we weren’t happy with the food. When I spoke to a family member that had also been ordering from there for years, they said they felt the same way. The food had changed and they especially didn’t like the dumplings and wouldn’t order from there again. My only guess is that the cooks or management has changed.
Also, the woman who took my order was extremely rude. I wanted to make a small change to my order and called literally right after I hung up the phone and she said it was «too late» and I should remember to say it earlier. The order was apparently already made and she would not change it. Not exactly a good way to keep customers. The fact that food could be ready in 1 second confirms the taste and it was probably sitting around and not made fresh.
Definitely think I’ll be taking another very long hiatus from Chinese food.

Ok this was a tough one. When we first walked in the young lady was not friendly. She was stocking spoons and forks and didn’t even acknowledge us. Once she finally did she was short and curt. Not what I would expect. The food was prepared pretty quickly and was good. The wonton soup was average. The general tzo’s chicken was good although the sauce was overly thick. Overall pretty average driven by the service and attitude. The food kept this from being lower.

Disappointing. We recently moved and this place is the closest Chinese takeout. Unfortunately, the food isn’t up to my family’s standards. The wontons were doughy and seemed undercooked, the «white meat» chicken was fatty and veiny and not very appealing and the shrimp lunch that I had only had 3 shrimp in it. We probably won’t return.

We have tried several Chinese places, and we have found this one to be the best of the bunch. The dishes are tasty, and the delivery is quick. It is nestled in between a Dunkin donuts and a pizza place. When everyone in our family wants a little something different we head here so everyone gets their choice.
