I stopped into Cugini’s today to pick up a grandma pie to acknowledge my friends birthday. I must say, it was delicious! It’s clear that they use the best ingredients and the service was terrific as well. Thanks for a great experience!

All pizzeria around here are closing down and found this new gem. I always try pepperoni pizza to see the quality of the place. Omg. The best sauce and quality thick pepperoni! Really representing true NY style pizza.

Cugini is our go-to Italian restaurant even though it is not around the corner. The food is always good and more importantly perhaps is that they have the most accommodating kitchen. Additionally they have a prix fixe menu Sunday through Thursday that will leave you stuffed for a very reasonable price. We have had almost everything on the menu at some time but the standouts are the fried zucchini, fried calamari and when it’s available the grilled octopus(a special) for appetizers. The main courses are all good with fresh meat and fish and tasty sauces that are not overpowering. My personal favorite is the lasagna with both ground beef and small chunks of sweet sausage. The pizza is also excellent. You can’t go wrong here. You’ll always get a good hearty home cooked meal, from friendly knowledgable servers.

They are awesome they accommodated exactly what I needed which was almost 50 pizzas delivered by 10:45am to a hospital account I was working and a separate catering order for Chicken Parm and penne a la vodka to a different location. The quality of their service and food was excellent! Thank you Joe!

The first thing I noticed was that they were kid friendly! I was taking my parents out to dinner & I had to find a place that wouldn’t mind having two crazy babies there! So glad we picked this place bc there were kids all over the place. I felt right at home! The food was great and the service was on point, they didn’t get upset when I asked to substitute food. Great place overall

Ever since my high school days, this place has never let me down. I’ve been visiting this place for 10 years now, and have tried every slice, pinwheel, and calzone displayed behind the glass. Maybe it’s the nostalgia, or maybe it’s the fact that this pizza place was a slice of freedom from the school across the street where I spent four years of my life, but I have yet to find a better buffalo slice(with a side of blue cheese) during my adventures. I highly recommend you go in there are try it. Deep dish style with just the right amount of crunch and kick from the buffalo sauce to leave you satisfied. For less than $ 5, it’s a cheap, no-frills meal that will make you wish you skipped religion class… not that such a thing was possible.

Stopped in for a couple of slices with boyfriend. We each had a regular slice and a specialty slice: chicken marsala for me, buffalo chicken for him. The regular slice was pretty solid. Not too greasy, lots of cheese, and seasoned well. Not my favorite slice, but it holds up. The chicken marsala was deep dish(as was the buffalo chicken), and I felt that the dough really overwhelmed the rest of the slice. The chicken marsala was delicious, but it wasn’t evenly spread out and could have been a little bit saucier. If there wasn’t as much dough and it sat on a regular slice, it probably would have been more balanced. The buffalo chicken had a lot more topping and was definitely more suited to the deep dish setting. I wish I had gotten one of the other slices instead of the chicken marsala. The penne alla vodka slice looked great. Will definitely come back to try it out and maybe some of their entrees as well.

There are too many Italian restaurants on Long Island. Many should not even be called Italian. This has been a shining star in Mineola for over 25 years. Consistent quality and warm friendly service. Where everybody knows your name. My favrites include great baked clams, soups Chicken Marsala, sauces, homemade Canoli and cheesecake. Fantastic pizza and riceballs. Who ever we bring here becomes a fan.

I got half vegetarian and half bbq chicken pie and it was not good. The bbq chicken side was drowning in a weird sauce that didn’t taste at all like bbq and it looks like they just threw a few shreds of cheese on top. They also put that sauce all over the vegetarian side! Money wasted. Ordered Chinese right after.

Has one of my favorite buffalo chicken slices around. Good crust, tons of chicken and buffalo sauce. And for the price you can’t go wrong

Pizza is pretty good. Many varieties. Shrimp parm hero wasn’t bad but was lacking flavor in the sauce. Sauce is very bland. The place it self needs remodeling. Stained wood is like worn to shreds & if the outside looks worn I can only imagine the kitchen. It’s not bad, just needs a tune up. Got a pie from then the other day. I was told 30 minutes, get there in 25, got home n pizza was cold. Smh. Before the owner died, sauce had flavor, place was always looking shiny &New… They need to clean up there act cuss they could be a 5 star place.

I have been eating here since the mid to late 90’s — I was in the place the day it opened. The ABSOLUTEBESTGRANDMAPIZZAINTHEWORLD NOCOMPARISONAVAILABLE I have tried a few other things here like the lemon chicken. But I have literally driven 45 minutes each way(from my suffolk house) to buy a couple of these pies just to put in the freezer. When I am in town, I always come here for slices, a mini grandma, or a full size to go. These things are so good I have debated giving them away as gifts for christmas. The owners, though I wouldn’t want to meet one in a dark alley, are always friendly when present and even recognize me from when I was a kid. Staff has always been professional. I did sit down once for dinner here, had the lasagna and was just as impressed as always. This is a MUST for lunch and dinner. If you live within 20 or 30 minutes, there is no other place to go for pizza. Clean as a whistle as well, from back to front.

I’ve been eating grandma slices from Cugini’s for as long as I can remember. I don’t dine in as often as I would like, being as the fried calamari is my kryptonite! The dining room is a little cramped, but the specials keep me interested.

I really like their grandma slices. The sauce and crust are a perfect blend for flavorful pizza. I haven’t tried anything else yet.

My family used to order pizza from Cugini’s every Friday night as long as I can remember but unfortunately their food has been very disappointing as of late. I agree with Antonio’s review, it seems as if they have been using cheap products in their dishes. The sauce they use on the pizza and in their pasta dishes is not as good as it once was. Cugini’s used to be very popular, especially with the Chaminade boys but with the tons of pizzerias that have popped up over the past 5 years, there are better options

Nice little pizzeria restaurant. The pizza crust is very thin, airy and light. The Neapolitan and Sicilian slices are perfectly blended with a delicious seasoned sauce. The staff is very friendly, but be patient during the lunch hour. It could get a little hectic, especially when people are paying for a slice and drink with a credit card. This holds up the line as they process one transaction after another. There is a more formal dine in area to the side. I haven’t had the pleasure to dine in and try the more eclectic menu, but perusing through the menu and coming across items like«Tortellini Bolognese», «Broccoli Rabe with sausage» and«Saltimbocca alla Romana», something tells me that I will be back. I’m just afraid that when I return, my eyes will be bigger than my stomach! Pass the«Tums» please.
