Bonaventure Tuxedos

Came into this store looking for a tuxedo that was a little unusual — Andrew was very helpful and spent a lot of time with us for which we were so grateful. We left a 50.00 deposit for our wedding in APRIL –Groom and 3 Groomsmen. This was about month ago– within that time frame my fiancée decided he wanted to spend some money and buy his own tux since we realized that we had some places to go and he would use it again. He apologetically called Andrew to let him know that we unfortunately, would not be using the tuxedo store.
Mind you we are still 65 days out from our wedding which is an eternity for tuxedo shops. Andrew became IRATE and angry that my fiancée bought a tux and didn’t come back to him to buy one. Also explained (NOW) that at the bottom of the receipt (which I still have to look at) it clams that 50.00 is NONREFUNDABLE –and then proceeded to remind my fiancée of «how much time he spent with him». So does that mean if you come in looking and spend time you owe him 50.00 ???
This small store mentality is why Mens Warehouse is more successful and so much easier to deal with. We went in, picked our suits and left NO DEPOSIT and btw, ANDREW we spent about an hour picking out things.
Nastiness is not how to run a small business — Be more grateful next time and give back the 50.00 (which you apparently need more than me).
I also noticed that the 5 STAR reviews are from about 3 –4 years ago. So apparently a lot has happened in that time to make Andrew so mad. Sorry Andrew — thats the business –Don’t worry someone else will rent from you –If they don’t mind an old store, adjustable waistbands and dingy looking shirts which need to be laundered. Sorry Andrew… being nice and giving back 50.00 would gone a much longer way —

Truly Fabulous!!! There is no better group to come to for a tuxedo. I have been coming to this father son duo for over 15 years. George & Andy have never disappointed & go above & beyond to keep a customer coming back.

My husband and father got tux’s here for a wedding. The father and son owners were beyond helpful. They knew exactly what would look good on the men’s body types and gave good, honest, sound advice. These men know what they are doing and they have loyal customers for life. Their prices were fabulous and don’t nickel and dime everything. We wanted 2 different ties and they just let us take both. You need a belt? No worries, bring it back. Love this place and will be back.

The staff at Max Bridal was introduced to the owner of Bonaventure Bridal & Tuxedos at a Benefit for the Mineola Chamber of Commerce. Being in the bridal business myself, it was nice to see another store that goes above and beyond with their service and quality products.

My husband and I came here for our destination wedding tuxedos back in April. The staff (father and son) could not have been nicer and more accomodating. We really appreciated them making the process so easy on us!
