Stopped here with my wife on the way back from Thanksgiving break because we didn’t want to eat the same ol’ Denny’s, IHOP, or Wafflehouse. What a bad experience this was. Where do I begin? First off, this is not your typical diner. It is located as an attachment to a gas station that has a small casino in the back. Not bad, yet could be better. The pricing of the menu is reasonable, and if you have to use the restroom, you have to enter the casino through thick plumes of smoke. I can reason with that, for the most part. Now here is the bad experience. After being seated, my wife asked for hot water in order to soak a tea bag. I didn’t think that this was an unreasonable request, yet she got funny looks from the cook when the young waitress asked out loud if she could do this. I overhear the cook say«Just put some of that water in there.» So what does the server do? Rather than either boil the water in a kettle or even use hot water from the coffee pot, she pours warm tap water from the pipe that you put mops in. Very nasty tasting pipe water. We ordered basic eggs, toast(I ordered an omelette), with pork sausage along with hash browns. The omelette wasn’t bad, yet my wife’s eggs were either too buttery or salty. She mentioned this to the waitress, of which the cook scoffed and said«I ain’t ever put any salt or butter in my eggs» and looked at us with an attitude as she stormed off to the kitchen. My wife had her back to the cook when she heard this, yet heard every word. Unbelievable unprofessional to the ninth degree in trying to embarrass us. All my wife wanted was her eggs to be redone without any hint of butter or salt. The waitress returned with new eggs in under two minutes, which I thought was suspicious. My wife said that the eggs look a bit better yet she had a feeling that all the cook did was either put the eggs in a microwave or spit on it. As aforementioned, my omelette was okay, yet the toast was over-buttered, the pork sausage was even more over-buttered, and the hash browns were the same. The hash browns tasted just awful, even with ketchup. The coffee was so-so. I was so not amused by the disrespect being given by the cook as well as seeing a crap meal being served that I lost my appetite, which is something that I rarely do. The only thing that I was able to eat in its entirety was the omelette(at least she got that right). The highlight of the visit was the server. She was very young(18, I suppose), yet meant well. I would give this restaurant 2 stars yet toward the end, I thought that the cook and the server were more engaged in what video was playing on their SmartPhones than giving a hoot on what their customers thought of the food. I truly did not feel comfortable eating here, and I wound up taking care of any sort of hunger pains the rest of the way by drinking water and eating cashews. Bottom line is that I just cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. So-so venue, employees with a why-should-I-care attitude and substandard food are just not ideal for me. I would highly prefer ramen noodles and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with a coke than to visit this place ever again. For those that ever eat here, please feel free to punch yourself in the face after you leave.

Wife and I had breakfast here a few weeks ago. Nothing fancy but the food was good and the service was fast. Staff was very friendly and attentive. We will stop in again!
