Absolutely a must visit! Chip, who took my order was smiling and friendly. Definate Plus! Ordered homemade burger with Swiss. Enough for two. Enormous amount of hand cut fries. Rib Eye sandwich, first one ever I tried. Flavorful! Again, enough for two!
I am very happy, satisfied and highly recommend this place for a food junkie treat AND a inexpensive surprise! Loud applause! Treat your taste buds. You won’t be disappointed.

I love this place! Small menu but something for everyone! And the fries are hand cut, everything is natural! The owners are awesome and so nice and remember their customers. They take pride in what they do, I’ve worked/​helped out a few times and I know that everything is perfection and better than any other food cart I have been to! Stop by and get the ribeye steak sandwich with hand cut fries and a pure grape soda and you will not be disappointed!!!

Great food and reasonable prices but it’s hours of operation are pretty erratic. I’ve had the burger, steak sandwhich, fries and chick sandwhich. All of which were delicious.

Having just moved to Milwaukie from SE Portland and finding myself in short supply of food options on my day off, I thanked the gods when I found this cart blocks from my house. Easily the best burger in Milwaukie, and the fries are top notch to match. The fry sauce reminds me of places I went as a kid in NE Portland. He also makes a killer polish dog. I’m looking forward to trying the ribeye sandwich. When this place is closed for the night, I’m happy to go to Killer Burger, but deep down I’ll be wishing I was at Steak Shack.

Great service and awesome fries! I ordered the ribeye sandwich– tender thin sliced and nicely seasoned. The fries were delicious– some kinda seasoning salt made the fries better than just fried potatoes. Love the location in half dead downtown Milwaukie, My hometown. I will try the pork souvlaki next time… They talked up their tzaziki so I’ll believe it until proven otherwise!

PHENOMENAL Food and the guys are great. Amazing burgers, chicken, and the Rib Eye Sandwich is to die for! Juicy cuts, amazing homemade sauces, and all for under $ 7~an amazing lunch spot!

After putting off going here for awhile I now feel like a fool. This place is great. I ordered the ribeye sandwich and hand cut fries. They were excellent. Juicy flavorful steak well seasoned and plenty of it. The fries were very tasty as well. Hand cut as advertised and delicous. They earned a return customer today. Good job guys.

Milwaukie is the place that time forgot, even more than that, time punched it in the mouth and bloodied it’s nose, we’re talkin’ serious backwater here folks! This situation is made even worse by the anal, reactionary old fuddy duddies that vote down every proposal for upgrades so it is doomed to remain what it is. Then Along came Steak shack This is the the hamburger joint I have looked for my entire life! The burger is thick with just the right amount of fat in it to make it tasty without being greasy. The fries are fresh cut cooked golden brown and nice an crispy. They also have a steak sandwich, onion rings, chicken, souvlaki and sausages. All from a little cart in the parking lot of a 76 station. So now maybe Milwaukie can be famous for something besides being the hometown of bowling superstar Dave Husted and champion hubcap hurler Tonya Harding.

I’ve been here many times — tried most everything that’s on the menu and everything is superb. The portions are huge, the food is delicious. I can’t recommend it enough. It is a great place to get a good, reasonably priced delicious lunch. The only complain I would have is that they do close fairly early in the day (I think between 3 and 4 in the afternoon.) I often wish they’d stay open a little later — their food is great.

I arrived just before closing the gentleman working was more than happy to serve me nonetheless. They were out of fries but they gave us the onion rings for the same price. I was A little apprehensive. Food from the gas station parking lot. What a surprise not only was it fast and easy to order it was delicious. I had the prime rib sandwich the guy working suggested I had it like he likes it and it was really good the best thing I’ve eaten in a long time and the burger was thick and juicy. This is definitely going to become one of Milwaukee’s best kept secrets so let’s let the word out this is the place to eat I know I’ll be eating there again and again and again. Even the sauce they provided for dipping the onion rings in was terrific. Thank you steak shack for great meal.

I’ve had trouble finding the time to swing by and try this place out. The stars finally aligned and holy shnikees, it was worth the wait. The ribeye sandwich was seasoned to perfection and the bun, well, it was a perfect combo with the rest of the ingredients. Best sandwich in Milwaukie, hands down, and one of the best in PDX for sure.

We stopped to get gas and the attendant told us the steak shack has the best food. He said we wouldn’t be disappointed with anything! So of corse we had to give it a try. My husband and I devoured our cheeseburgers, which were piled mighty high. My brother in law had the rib eye steak and it was so good. One
was not enough, not by proportion but pure lust for more. Delicious food cart and friendly service! We will definitely be back.

We’ve only been once. But that’s all that’s required to get hooked to this place.
We’ve driven by on days they’ve been closed and stared at it longing. You think I’m joking!
We tried this place because we were like starving kids running out of Wunderland and wanted a bite before our movie started.
We got some fries and the rib-​eye on a bun. Holy guacamole. It was literally a rib-​eye on a bun and not just any rib-​eye. The juiciest, most tender steak we’ve had in a while. The bun soaked up all the juices and the special sauce. We suddenly regreted agreeing to share. The fries were extra crispy and we gobbled it all up instantly while sitting on the street curb.
This place is no frills and the perfect place to get a steak fix!

Nice to see a food cart in my neighborhood. I live about 3 minutes walking distance from this cart, so I’ll definitely be back.
After talking with who I presume was the owner, I chose the Rib-​eye on a bun, with it being made their way. While waiting for my sandwich, I must say there were some damn glorious smells coming from this cart, making my mouth water even more since I was starving. The verdict, Delicious!
The special sauce and sauteed onions along with the lettuce and tomato paired with the salty rib-​eye steak really pulls this sandwich together.
My only complaint would be that at $ 7 for the rib-​eye sandwich it’s a little pricey, since you get no fries or side items. I was still a little hungry afterwards (I have a big appetite).
Overall I enjoyed it. I hope to see more carts popping up in Downtown Milwaukie.

Steak Shack delivers the perfect hamburger on a budget. Even the kid sized or junior burgers are ENORMOUS and only 3 bucks. They will make them any way you want with anything on them. The chicken strips and french fries are also really good.
Everything we have had has been freshly prepared and really tasty.
We’ve been told this is the first official Food Cart in Milwaukie, and we are super happy to have them! Hopefully more are coming…
