Interesting looking little menu, but drinks only as limited time visit. Brunch items I saw looked tasty in a greasy way. Friendly, knowledgeable, plaid liking bartender. Currently two non-tomato bloodies to go with the normal, plus they’ve added whiskey and tequila… to the base spirit choices, so I’ll just say more breakfast drinks available than most places. Green is roasted poblano so nice kick. Gin and poblano doesn’t feel like a good combination for breakfast, but drinkable if you’re avoiding tomatoes some morning. Yellow version is bell pepper with bit of curry. Pork belly as a garish is a fatter, thicker, only edge spiced, version of Café Hollander Sweet Bacon; so still tasty, soak it in drink to make biteable.

Stopped in for a beer since I loved the name and found out that my buddy Greg is running the place. He suggested the pig wings for me to snack on and they did not disappoint. They fell off the bone and were delicious. Can’t wait to head back for their brunch. The yellow bloody mix looked great!

I honestly love this place… I can never decide whether I want the Pig Wings or the Magnum Mac with pulled pork, they’re both awesome! The bloodies are great at any time of day — my favorite is the yellow, but I’m hearing news of a green one on the way so I’ll have to give that a try. Not sure where these other reviewers are getting their info from, but the former owner of Two Bucks doesn’t own The Winchester. Figure out how a business changes hands before making such negative comments, people. In any case, may The Winnie live on and serve North Ave and the rest of Milwaukee for years to come! I’m sure they’ve only scratched the surface of what they can bring to the table

I wish there was a negative rating. The amount of mistakes and horrible service issues makes me wish that racist two bucks was back. The best service we received was from the drunk employee whose shift ended 7 hours before we arrived. I was originally disappointed that they forgot to make my pork chicken wings, then the chef came out of the kitchen. I am now heading to urgent care to get antibiotics. I guess the drinks had booze in them. That gets them a star.

Came here for a Packer game. Left at half time. Ugh. It feels very similar to the old Two Bucks. They did a minimal redecorating, but everything looks just about the same. No frills, which is fine by me. They have a pretty decent selection of beers, but no beer list. The bartender told me to just look at the fridge behind the bar. I’d rather have the beer listed with prices. I chalked this up to being a relatively new business. The food was fine, but overpriced. It was standard bar food, with a couple of twists. I had the pork wings, which were fine. Not enough to draw me back. The worst part, and the reason I will not be returning, was the employees. The guy who was checking IDs at the door made some comment about wanting to sleep with girls who aren’t 21 yet, which is disconcerting. All of the guys working seemed super sleazy and made me very uncomfortable. Fire everyone, lower prices, get a beer list. Then I’d give it a second chance.

my sons and i checked this place out for brunch today. we got there just before 11:30am. there was another couple at a table but other than that the place was empty. the décor is dark wood and welcoming. we were immediately greeted and told to sit anywhere we liked. we sat and were waited on right away. the menu is(as a previous reviewer stated) different. we ordered the brunch nachos w/chicken fried steak, brunch big cheese(a huge quesadilla), and i got the traditional breakfast. the brunch nachos were delicious! my youngest ordered this and he’s pretty picky. he loved it. my eldest got the brunch big cheese and was pleasantly surprised when it arrived and was huge! he’s a pretty big eater and had trouble finishing the meal. i got a basic breakfast, ordered my eggs over medium, and they came perfect! this is important because i often have trouble with this. i do not like the whites of my eggs to be snotty but i DO really really like to have runny yolks… so it is really important to time it just right. this is a difficult thing to do and they got it perfect! all in all the experience was excellent. fantastic and attentive service, great food at a moderate price, and in a convenient location. i will go there again… thanks guys!

Just ate at the Winchester and I had the pork wings rolled in sriracha bbq they were amazing. We also had the sliders one braised chicken, one pulled pork and a country fried steak with sausage gravy yes I said gravy on a sandwich. The food and service was awesome. I suggest if you’re on the east side go there prices were super reasonable for some great quality food.

You have to try the Pull Pork sliders!!! Can’t be beat. And to top it off $ 1 shots!!! Yeah hands down my favorite spot to pregame! Great staff and great food.

Not your typical bar and that’s why I love it. The food is unmatched. If you come here try the Pig Wings they are crazy good. The staff is very involved and seem like they actually want to be there lol.

First time here and LOVED!!! My friend and I had Alex and Ryan as our servers… They are AMAZING!!! I was seated immediately and greeted by Alex who listed off his favorite dish and then immediately followed up by showing me the dish as one was prepared already. He and Ryan offered us samples of the yellow and red and yellow bloodies… Highly recommend the yellow… Complimentary appetizer shots offered and to our surprise after brunch shots. Def will be back to try the lunch menu. Josh stopped over(not sure if he is manager or Bartender) and told us about the fresh ingredients in the food and drinks and where the food and drink concepts come from. This place is an eastside gem! Thank you Alex and Ryan. You gave us unbeatable service. I at one point in a normal Voice said. «Problem» and both Ryan and Alex immediately stopped in their tracks to see what the«problem» was… My «problem» was I needed more root beer for my Winchester Sarsparilla.

Ended up coming back here twice this weekend. I’ve now gone through about half the menu, and tried pretty much any combination of bloody… I don’t know what it is, the food isn’t unique, but dear god does it hit the right notes for me. Everything has been great, especially anything with the pulled pork(not usually a fan of it). The bloodies cannot receive enough praise. Yellow bloody(can it even be called a bloody at that point?) & nachos might be new weekend combo.

I used to like this place until I was treated like crap here. I had a smoke out front and came in to use the restroom. I bumped the«seat yourself» sign and tried to catch it. I missed the catch and really had to pee, so off to the bathroom I went. I came out of the bathroom and was very aggressively met by a bouncer asking if I «had a fucking problem». I was confused and lost and then once told that I was«disrespecting» the bar and very rudely told to screw off and pick up the sign or leave next time because I was no longer welcome, I finished my beer and left. This place can burn after being treated like crap.

Very weird menu for brunch. Pretty much combinations of eggs and other ingredients I haven’t seen anywhere else. I got a bowl of scrambled eggs, gravy, biscuits, chicken fried steak and something else I forget. It was amazing. The prices are super cheap too like 8 – 9 for brunch entrees and screwdrivers for $ 3.50. Only complaint is the service — our server must have been new because he was very uncomfortable around us and it made it somewhat awkward.
