Sitting here now. Let’s start off with it love this place I love the staff I love the food, never been bad.
Idk what the f just happened. Ordered a vegan burrito on recommendation, I am a vegetarian for 16 years… nbd. It was filled with undercooked chili. Crunchy veggies, so I said it wasn’t very good– table full of severs told be to say something. They took it asked me if I wanted anything else. Then when they brought a menu back told me I was being charged. I said not that big of deal so I I asked for my food back… bc I down want to pay 30 dollars for a brunch (just food guys haha). They threw it out.
I am writing this with no apology no food sitting here.
Also after this is all said and done now… I do want the record to state that I did not send my food back I merely stated that it was not very good and was offered a different item
And yes spoiler alert I talked to the manager and I still had to pay for my food… I will be disputing this because I had no food to eat because you threw it out
I think this is one of those things where it’s not about the money it’s about how it was handled

This was such a great place for me to find. THANKS TO GROUPON and whats funny is they have a very nice food selection, went by here last week Thursday after 8pm ended up watching the basketball game there. Our server was very pleasant and was okay with switching the tv so we could watch the game on one of the 3 Tv’s that were on. We had the fries they were so good :) crunchy and good wish I could have eaten more but not enough room in my stomach after having the burger. But I will be going back for the wings because i want to try them

Had to wait a long time and the food was just okay. The servers were great & friendly but couldn’t even seat us without getting approval from the manager, who I never saw.

Good food and service! Went here for brunch with a friend. We sat at the bar and got bloodys (delicious) and meals. The vegan burrito was flavorful and HUGE. His French toast was rich and tasty. Seems kind of sports bar-​ish, but that may have just been the crowd at the time. Will visit again!

Very disappointing. We found Hotch Spot because of a Groupon, but with the particular specials that they had on offer that night, we realized that our bill would’ve come to less than we’d actually paid for the Groupon if we’d just taken advantage of the specials. But our server wouldn’t charge us any of the specials’ prices because we had the Groupon. So, it never leaves a good taste in your mouth when you’re dealing with a less-​than-​nice server and you’re feeling ripped off.
But, whether we’d had a good deal or not, I’d still give Hotch Spot one star because the food was definitely sub-​par. Wings were nothing special. Then, my first three bites of my Po’Boy I got nothing but roll because the piece of fish was so miniscule. And not that tasty. My partner’s burger was meh.
Atmosphere? On this particular weeknight, it felt lame. Server going through the motions. Wishing us a «nice rest of our day» three times as we left, she sounded like Marco Rubio.

after i did my review thurs night, which was good, and I gave a good tip, I found they charged my credit card for additional amount without my knowledge. I emailed them without a response. Be Careful of your charges at this place!!!

Casual spot with very good, locally sourced beer selection. GREAT food. Loved the handmade, bleu cheese stuffed tater-​tots. Go get some. Their drink «special» was a barrel aged quad that would’ve made me very happy at double the $ 4 price they were charging. I’ll come back to try their brunch next time.

I came here for brunch with a friend. Our waiter was attentive and the service was fast. The lemon blueberry pancakes are good!
Wouldn’t go out of my way for this place. Would maybe be better for drinks or lunch.

A solid restaurant. Good variety of beer. A lovely, varied menu with staples like pizza, burgers, and even sweet potato fries! My friends and I have come for Thursday night trivia a couple times. Unfortunately, their happy hour ends right before trivia starts, so come early if you want deals!
It’s a fine place to watch a game or grab a bite, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here. I also wouldn’t go out of my way to avoid it. Based on my friends’ trivia knowledge and our winnings alone, we’ll be back.

Great place to relax and hang with friends. Good service and the food was quick. Clean place plenty of TVs and tables. Would come back. Jalapeño Poppers were on fire. Good music and great ambience.

They now charge 75 cents for credit card transactions, which they don’t note anywhere on the menu or in the store. Nor do they mention it when you hand them your credit card. I guess maybe they’re struggling.

Went here for the Friday fish fry. Food was good, but at eleven dollars it was a bit expensive for what I got. It was a bit unclear what specials were available already (starting at five) and which started at nine. I found out that my drink was not included after I received it /​asked.
I would’ve been somewhat satisfied with the meal, if I had not found a credit card tax on my bill. It had’t been advertised anywhere in the restaurant or on the menus. Besides paying for an expensive meal /​additional drink, I had to pay a tax for using my credit card which was the only payment method I had. Overall, I’m not too happy with my meal and I don’t really see a reason to return.

Nice place for a fish fry, happy hour isn’t bad either!!!

Another spot that I really wanted to like. The first couple of times I came here, it was with a groupon (or something like that) It was alright food & drinks, nothing more.
However, the last time I came here was terrible. We were with a group of people for someone’s birthday. When everyone’s order came out, my food never arrived. 10 — 15 minutes after everyone was served (and at this point done eating) my BBQ burger came, with mayo on it? Who in the right mind puts mayo on a BBQ burger (which wasn’t listed on the menu, and according to the waitress not supposed to be on there) I normally would have sent it back (and I rarely send food back) but by this time I just needed to eat so we could be on our way. I ended up collecting many napkins from the table so I could scrape up the mayo on my BBQ burger.
The waitress apologized a lot. Like enough where I get the impression she is constantly apologizing for the kitchen’s mistakes. I would have given it 1 star, but I did get a free drink out of the deal.
Based off the fact that I have never seen this place busy, even on a Friday night, and how expensive their rent has to be at this location, I doubt it will be open much longer.

I did not care for this place at all. We went for lunch and the staff was friendly and attentive, hence the 2 stars. The food was mediocre and high priced. There was an additional $ 0.75 charge for using a debit/​credit card, if the prices were more reasonable I wouldn’t mind. I don’t plan on returning, and there are many better options on the area to grab a bit to eat.

Was another decent Groupon try. The potato cheese wrap appetizer with spicy mustard on the side was definitely the highlight of the meal. Greek burger was on the dry side and could be a little bigger patty. They do not skimp on the fries.
Definitely could use some interior decorating updates but based on the drink specials, most people aren’t coming there for the food or looks. $ 9 Long Island pitchers on special on a Saturday night?! Yahoo! I know where to come to get my cheap drunk on!
Service was excellent though. Very attentive server.
Looks like brunch may be the way to go here. May try that sometime.

I’ve been to Hotch Spot twice. The first time was during the tomato romp bloody mary challenge. There was a good crowd and the bloody mary was pretty tasty too. Overall, I had fun for the 15 minutes we were there.
The second time was on a Tuesday night to get a few drinks and grab some food with a couple friends. There were only 2 people in the bar when we arrived, and none when we left a few hours later. Couple that with the fact that the bartender looked (and acted) like she had to skip her freshman psychology seminar to be there, and it was not a great experience. The saving grace was the half off appetizers.

Hotch Spot. Hotch-​a-​doo? Hotch? I mean what is the real name of this place? Consistency is important in a town like this. I don’t have anything to back that up, but the whole name-​changing thing annoys me. They are lucky they’ve got a pretty good breakfast.
I come here occasionally with fellow cheesy-​potatoe loving friends. This place throws together a really good hash scramble with cheesy potatoes called the «Hotch Hash.» You can get all different varieties, I always go with the original– goat cheese, red peppers, broccoli.
I came here on a Saturday with a 4 friends. The hotess gave a couple that came in 10 minutes after us a large booth that could have accomodated us all. She «forgot» about us even though we were standing in plain site. It was sort of weird. For this I deduct one star.
We had a great waiter, but the service was super slow. It took us close to an hour to even get our coffees. Things just didn’t seem to flow here. For this I deduct another star.
All in all, good comfort food, but overall strange service and clearly not enough staff on a big brunch day in the city.

After another awful experience at this place I don’t think I’ll ever be back. The service is downright dreadful and the drinks are not worth their price.
I got to the bar at 7:40 for 8pm trivia. I got a table and waited for the waitress. And waited… And waited… And waited… Finally at 8 a waitress came by and I asked for a menu. Then I waited… And waited… And waited… Finally I went up to the bar and asked for a menu. I wasn’t able to get my order in until 8:20! That’s a full 40min after arriving. This also made me miss the happy hour specials. When I complained at the end of the night that I wasn’t treated right and shocked that my little Moscow mule cost over $ 9 they just bitched back at me how hard their day was and refused to make my experience any better. Ugh what a night!
