Highbury has a nice casual vibe, great artwork and local feel! Great on a chill tuesday night.

Three stars for the look and the fact this is a soccer bar. One star for service of bartender and prices of the beer. Not much else I can say about this place business and its good for guaranteed soccer viewing and it is in an interesting strip of bars and clubs. It is an ok addition and worthy of one beer bar hopping stopping.

This is the 3rd time I’ve been here. The last two times have been for blues on Fridays.(6−9p). Every time we’ve been here, it’s been a different experience. Tonight, it’s really loud and«hollery» with the brahs– but the blues are playing, and I’ll soon have a Meatallica from Classic Slice in front of me. The current pinball, «Striker Xtreme» is pain in the A!!! Folks are friendly, taps are limited but change frequently. Nice variety of cans and bottles. Nice little bar that seems to avoid the Bayview hipster crowd.

Best soccer pub in Milwaukee. I come to this bar most weekend mornings, and during ALL Arsenal games. Every time I have been here, I’ve had a positive experience. Really great beer selection, friendly, laid-back bartenders, and cool décor. Most popular drinks include bloodies, stiegl radler, magic coffee and my personal favorite, 32 oz Pabst for $ 4. If there is a big game on the weekend at 6:00 A.M., Joe will have this place up and running at 5:00. Doesn’t matter if you are an Arsenal fan or Tottenham, you will be treated as an equal at The Highbury. Definitely recommend this pub for all soccer fanatics around!

I can’t even bring myself to give this place one star. That would be an insult to stars. But I have to(thanks Unilocal). The Highbury represents all that is dark and evil in the world. I’m fairly certain ISIS hates Americans because they stopped here for about five seconds. The bar, upon entering, emits the rancidness you’d expect from your toilet the day after a Taco Bell binge combined with the sweaty armpit of Lyle Alzado minutes after smashing a car on his worst ‘roid rage night. If I was allowed to define«pungent» in the dictionary, I would say it’s «the best case scenario at the Highbury on a Saturday morning». Speaking of Saturday mornings… if you like Futbol, and I do, this place will be open to come and endure the game. Note, I didn’t say«enjoy» the game, and I barely said«watch» the game. The air of shame coming from the clientele for lowering their standards to drink here and watch soccer, combined with the tight spaces and sardine-can quality of how many people they pack in leads me to head straight to the nearest bidet to wash the musky goo off my bottom from all the man-junk pressed against me when so many people are pushing forward toward the bar to buy the over-priced rail drinks and Campbell’s Tomato Soup Bloody Mary’s. Psychologists must make a fortune from the mental health issues coming from all the people who’ve had to walk through the gauntlet of turgid Manchester United fans after they score a goal. Thankfully that’s a rare occasion this season. I’m pretty sure when you order a Miller Lite here in a bottle, you get the tiny leavings of a hundred previous customer’s bottles all funneled into yours with a topper of seltzer to give it bubbles. I have no proof of this, but let me just say the Miller Lite here makes Natty Ice taste like Dom Perignon. The ATM in the bar is a joke and a half too. With fees like that, you’d think the bar owner is getting a major kickback per transaction, or works for the ATM company, or both. Speaking of the bar owner, I don’t think I’ve met a more incorrigible self-righteous asshat in my life. I think he’s been sober once in his life, and that was because there’s no booze in amniotic fluid. Usually he’s stumbling around his domain, scratching his little bits, and muttering about how«back in the day when he had hair» business was much better. Don’t get me started on the bartenders. I thought this was a service industry, boy was I mistaken. This Scottish tosser was there slinging drinks… to his buddies… and essentially ignored everyone else. Let me correct myself, «ignored» would have been an upgrade to the treatment I fell victim to. I ordered a bottle of beer with a pop off top, and instead of using the bottle opener, he threw the bottle at my head and said SOMETHING in that godawful accent of his that I THINK translated to «USEYOURHANDSANDMAKETHEMBLEEDIFYOUWANTTODRINKIT!» Which, when your breath reeks of haggis, really just adds to the aroma. I may quit drinking thanks to this place. Or even worse, I may buy two bottles of Malort, sit in a corner and guzzle them down until I can’t remember ever having been there. It’s Malort, so it will be hell, but at least not the lowest circle this bar spawned from.

This place is the height of obnoxiousness. It has to be the only Man Ure bar named for an ARSEnal stadium. It isn’t big enough for the number of people that come for USA matches and while they sing, everyone is off-key. The only saving grace is the female bartenders are attractive, but that’s offset by the guys that make Rowan Atkinson look like Fabio. Also…chalkboards suck. What is this, preschool?

Went to this place for needle and the Groove yesterday night. A few cats i know been doing this night for awhile it was my first night checking it out. Might i say the music was on point and the atmosphere was right… HipHop, breakbeats, oldschool, 90’s RythymAndBlues, NeoSoul, House, 80’s poprock a very small pinch of commercial rap you name it.

Standard 3 stars for it being my first time here. It’s small. I can imagine how difficult it would have been for my asthma back in the smoking days. It’s a soccer bar. It’s an Arsenal bar. Due to the size I can see games being super crowded but also friendly. It’s divey and pretty awesome. Pints are reasonably priced($ 5 Magners, $ 5 Spaten Oktoberfest). The bartender was nice if distracted by some regulars who were gregarious(in a good way). I can totally see myself going back there on another lazy afternoon. My only complaint is that they were playing Journey. When will that ironic fad end?

The Highbury has: Sports on TV, especially soccer. Great service. Reasonably priced drinks. Awesome bartenders. A fun and laid back vibe. Great live music on Friday or Saturday nights(when there aren’t major sporting events). And way cool owner that supports the local community. I personally cannot ask for any more from my local pub, and if you can’t either then this is the place for you!

Descriptive phrase: soccer and booze. Milwaukee and the soccer and The Highbury and the drinking. It doesn’t get much more authentic of an experience than this for hooliganism. Just wish it weren’t so small and the TV’s weren’t so high up(neck cramp). Get your fix of futbol right here.

Best place in Milwaukee for soccer, f1, or tennis. They open early for sports and is a great place to chat about sports when you watch matches.

More Quizmaster, seltzer kiddie cocktails, beer, soccer, and cheap pizza in a tiny little bar next to Café Centraal in Bayview This place isn’t bad, but it’s small. I have never seen it crowded enough to matter, but when it’s nicer out, I could see it getting a little too close for comfort in there. When you walk in you see the bar to your left and bench seating around the outer perimeter. There are bar stools on the opposite side of the benches and an upstairs area that has a few more benches with low tables. European football is the entire theme of the bar with flags, soccer memorabilia and what appears to be work from local artists in empty spaces along the walls. They have pizza specials, like one pizza and a pitcher of beer for $ 12, or a pizza for $ 10. It’s really just a cheap frozen pizza, but it’s actually pretty tasty for thin crust frozen pizza. If you show up for trivia, the prize is $ 25 bar tab for first place, $ 10 for second place, and a free pitcher for best team name. $ 25 will go a long way there as we have been sitting on $ 50 worth of bar tabs for a few weeks now. It’s a quiet place to chill and watch football or hang out with friends and have a drink. The only suggestion I have is that they serve more food, or bar snacks, or something. There isn’t much food here, so don’t come hungry.

The Highbury is so tiny, I imagine it gets lost in the crowd of other bars up and down KK. But the niche is futbol and it certainly caters to those fans, and has a killer selection of beers. Great service from the bartender, though the beer prices were a touch more than I expected. Not sure I would return unless I was attending for live music, but I can see how the vibe and atmosphere here would attract the soccer-crazed. Regardless, I had a perfectly average, A-OK experience!

Apparently soccer is a big deal here, or at least it was the night I was there. There were tons of frat brother type guys. I didn’t think there were many bars like that not around the school. Not sure if this is their regular crowd, but they are not my type of people.

Last night, I shotgunned a beer and did a shot before leaving with a happy new year hat worn like a uni-boob. This place is fun. It’s named after my favorite team’s old ground(Gooner 4 lyfe) and they are particularly loyal Arsenal supporters. They usually have a good mix of music playing and a good selection of european beer to choose from. Works of local artists on the walls, DJs spinning on the weekends. Highbury gets the Kyle K drunken faceplant of approval.

You know when you’ve been to a place, and then, you don’t go to said place for awhile… a long while, and then, you forget about it, and then, you remember that you really like it when friends are hosting a going away/trivia party at said establishment? Yeah. It’s like that. Tiny-ish but power-packed full of rad, the Highbury existed in the unconscious annals of my brain until yesterday. Yesterday I remembered that I really dig this laid-back spot for the nice folks, the varied, generally a bit older(read late twenties to early forties) crowd, the décor — local stickers, art, red walls, interesting bar setup… and, gasp… for the sports! Now, the Highbury is a soccer bar, and a soccer fan I am not. However! I had a ton of fun watching the Olympics here, and could imagine myself having a good time watching football, rugby, Australian rules football, or you know… whatever. Something weird. Their Thursday night trivia is super-fun, to boot! Summation: nice folks, laid-back, Magner’s on tap, sports on the tubes, local art on the walls, not far from my house. I like!
