Great drinks, friendly bartenders and awesome décor. This bar is great anyone that likes a few good drinks but is not the best for someone looking to get hammered on cheap rails all night. The outside area is great for summer and the location is perfect. From what I understand, this is the only British bar in Milwaukee, pretty cool considering we have MANY Irish bars. This place is definitely out of the ordinary, and although it was my first time… I will be back!

I like the Bollock’s a lot, mostly because I enjoy the atmosphere of the place — and they play soccer matches regularly. However, they change bar tenders like you wouldn’t believe and half of my enjoyment of any establishment that I frequent is that there is someone there I can chit-chat with. This is particularly true with bars. I like the feeling of being a regular. It’s hard to do that at this place. As a quick note, as of 4÷1÷2011, their cook up and quit, so their kitchen is closed. I’m not sure what happened, but it was a pain in the rear to go in there for food and find that out.

My boyfriend and I have tried this place a few times. We’ve had mixed experiences. The first time we tried The Dogs Bollocks, we were very happy. We didn’t know what time they opened and accidentally showed up about 15 minutes before they we to start serving.(Our own fault.) But the server let us come in and sit down and we happily waited until they opened. Fifteen minutes went by, and we learned that their cook was running late to work. He didn’t arrive for another 30 minutes. But in the meantime, the owner popped into the kitchen and whipped us up some crepes on the house! I thought that was awesome!!! When the cook did arrive, we order and our food came very quickly. We were very happy. The second time around was not so good. We were charged for refills on tea, even though the menu said very clearly that tea refills were free. When we asked the server about it, she said that there are no free refills. We let it slide because we got free food last time, and an overcharge on tea hardly evens that out. The food overall is tasty and the owner is from England so the food is really authentic. However, the prices are steep and I don’t really like to eat anywhere that soda and tea refills aren’t free. I’d go back on weekend mornings since they air Premiership League Football on their TVs. There’s nothing better than eating a traditional English Breakfast and watching West Ham United play!

Good Happy Hour specials. Checked this place out on a whim, and it turned out A-OK. I asked for a vodka tonic, and I got a vodka tonic. Nothing out of the ordinary here — but I may go back.

I love this place on the weekend mornings. They open up early for the European soccer matches which is awesome and the brunch is fantastic. Plus, they have a great selection of beers and the best Bloody Hells(Marys) on North Ave!

OK. I went to this place for a good«fry up». The thing cost $ 13.95, not exactly value for your money. You get a big meal, eggs, chips, beans, and some pudding. Sits like a rock in your gut. Cute atmosphere, but the bartenders were kind of on the arrogant side(maybe they were trying to act like pompous Brits). Wouldn’t make the trip again from Tosa. Nothing special really. Your paying for the décor and the privilege.

It’s not difficult to find a good pub in Milwaukee, but I’m a fan of giving a new establishment a chance. A few hiccups — and not from being tipsy — however, I’d still recommend it for a night out with a group. An English pub, we sat on the sidewalk patio to enjoy the fleeting summer weather. The crowd was sparse, so we expected immediate service. I don’t mind waiting when a restaurant is busy, but it seemed like the London fog was going to roll in by the time the waitress took our order. What tempered the wait was the great ‘British Invasion’ music flushing out from the open windows into the street. When the waitress arrived, I was ready to order the tempting(and apparently ‘served anytime’) ‘English Breakfast’ plate. It was another disappointment to find it wasn’t available. My wife and I settled on the Fish Fry. We didn’t wig out Beatlemania-style over the entrée. Somewhat limp fish and a bit greasy. I recommend Kegel’s Inn as a personal fave for Friday fish with genuine local Milwaukee flavor. Will I return? For an honest-to-goodness pint and a great stream of tunes — absolutely! Of note, while people watching, I noticed a lovely young woman embrace a haggard older man wearing a t-shirt that read«Arms are for Hugging». It reminded me of the variety of people you are never short of seeing on Milwaukee’s Eastside. The Best!
