Seems crazy right? It isn’t if you know Milwaukee. It may be strange to outsiders. But here it completely makes sense. We savor every moment of summer & sunshine & spice it up with salubrious samples of suds. So Sprecher was smart enough to think up a way to bring a beer garden to many parks without the necessity of permanent structures. Nicely done. They were crafty enough to convince overlords within the parks department to allow this madness. Thankfully, our local government understands the importance of beer. And camaraderie. And revelry. And outdoorsmanship. Dogs. Frisbee. Breezes. You might think that it’s a lot like a food truck, only with beer. But no. It’s more like a pop-up outdoor restaurant. They have a ton of beer choices & food & benches & tables & a polka band. One huge surprise for me & all the goofballs I sat with was that you keep the glass. It’s not even all that crazy expensive. But if you buy a beer, you keep the glass. Pint or Liter. They don’t wanna do dishes. You can certainly bring your own mug or glass & they’ll fill it for cheaper. But the glasses are pretty cool & a perfect gift for your uncultured friends who’ve never imagined a city where such unbelievable nonsense takes place. Participate in our culture. It’s fun. You be nice.
