Norv’s Barber Shop

Great place for a men’s cut. Norv’s is a Veteran’s hang out, and it has been here for decades. Norv is a bit of a joker with a dry sense of humor, and is fast with the clippers, and straight razor. He doesn’t list shaves, but I figure you could ask for a shave also.
This place is probably best for guys who like short haircuts or old school cuts. I don’t think it is the place for a Thin Lizzy or Marc Bolan T-​Rex haircut.
You walk in and are greeted by some animal busts on the wall, and he will show you the buck he got in the Deer season of 2012 «up near the Dells»… This place looks like a barber shop. No punk rock or hooters stylists in boy shorts, just a professional self described «Geezer» who cuts hair.
This place is Old School south side and I am happy that they are still doing a steady business. I walked in and was seen right away, but within 10 minutes there were two other guys waiting. So, I suggest if you are time-​constrained, give a call first.
Men’s cuts $ 10, Retired guys $ 9. Not bad at all.
The experience itself is worth it. Oh, South Side, you rock.
