I generally avoid writing and even reading negative reviews because they’re so often too long passive aggressive essays about some particular thing that left a bad taste in their mouth, that they’re taking a little too personally,(situations that are often times easily resolved or avoided entirely by using your words, like you were taught as a toddler, in direct communication with a staff member or manager but instead of that, come on here and bash local businesses which ultimately doesn’t fix anything. In fact it only serves to vindicate the passive aggressive, jerk Unilocaler). Also, people have real problems and complaining about my bad mani pedi seems first-world problem meme worthy and I hate myself a little bit for posting this. But I digress. So I gotta tell you. This place. Oof. I used to come here once a month for a few years, a few years ago. They always had walk in appointments available. They always charged just a little bit less than everywhere else. I’ll only ever drop into Magical Nails when I’m desperate because it’s a bit of a hike for me and as aforementioned, they always have walk in availability. Each time I go in with high hopes and fair expectations and each time I leave full of regret and wondering I will need a shot of penicillin. I’m not exaggerating. Customer service is completely lacking but most importantly basic, imperative, non negotiable sanitation procedures are not followed. Simply dunking your utensils between each client in barbicide is NOTENOUGH to sanitize. A minimum of ten minutes of moist contact is necessary to disinfect. That’s ten minutes of soaking. Pure speculation: I genuinely wonder if several of the nail techs I’ve had work on me are licensed and have gone through the proper training. I really don’t think so.

Excellent selection of colors. Salon is clean and the technicians are so friendly! I had a mani-pedi in an hour. They really took their time on both parts and did an amazing job. The prices are great– $ 42 for a mani-pedi. I would highly recommend! Sundays are not that busy, so a great day to go.

I really love Magical Nails! I started going well before their expansion, and they’ve always done a top notch job on my brows and nails. The basic pedicures are really nice, and the chairs are large and cushy :) Staff is very friendly, and can be talkative or not depending on your mood. Lee is my favorite! Out of all the times I’ve gone here, the only time I have not loved it was when I did a walk-in and got a man manicurist. He skimped on care and general kindness, but my shellac mani turned out great nonetheless. I chipped it while working a couple days later(my fault), and when I went back in to ask them to fix it, they did it for free and with a smile. Usually customer service is great. It can get really busy here even on weekdays, so I’d recommend calling ahead and booking your services.

I’ve come here a few times, and they did my nails for my wedding. I feel that overall service is good. I mostly do their basic manicure and pedicure, and I have always been pleased by the result. Just remember — bring cash for tip. They don’t have a tip line on their receipts, so either have them add it before running the transaction or bring cash for it.

Totally appalled by this salon. The manicurist was on his bluetooth talking on the phone for the whole beginning of my manicure. I asked for a GELMANICURE(FULLSET) he got out powder to put on my nails. POWDERISNOTGEL when i told him i dont want acrylics, instead i wanted uv gel nails, he told me they set it with a gel layer on top. essentially, they are ripping you off by giving you acrylic and charging extra for the one layer of gel. Gel nails are supposed to be layers of gel that are all cured with a uv lamp. DONOTGETGELNAILS HErE YOU ARe BEING totALLY riPPED OFF. WHen i saw the powder i asked them to take off what they had done so far and i left without paying a dime.

I have been going here for 5 years. I typically see Lisa(owner), or her husband Tony is now at this location. They use to own the Magical nails inside Bayshore, but recently sold it and Tony now works here. Otherwise Lynn does a good job. Call ahead for appointment, sometimes the waits are long. If you want Lisa/Tony you will always need appointments.

Did a poor job on my fill, but anyone can have a bad day right? Asked them to fix my nails and the spoke amongst themselves in Vietnamese, then argued with me. They repaired only one of the four nails. Bad services followed by poor customer service.
