Excellent repair and service. Guy came right on time & replaced our garage door spring, straightened out the track & had everything running smoothly in about a half hour. Charged exactly what they estimated, which was pretty reasonable. Would highly recommend this professional company!

JD Griffiths is a Top Notch Company. I have had the pleasure of doing business with JD Griffiths on many occasions. over many years. You will not find a better family owned business.
You do not build a stellar reputation spanning 50 years unless you are experts at what you do.
This is whats wrong with review sites. allowing 10 yr old complaints. Ridiculous, While other garage builders garages are falling down, leaking or rotting after 10 years
a person is bitter about flaking driveway.
Also complaint about scheduling? Seriously? your Dr. keeps you waiting hours, your city overcharges for taxes and your complaint in life was scheduling confusion?
Building quality structures is a huge undertaking. Without a doubt we all made the best decision when we elected to do business with JD Griffiths.
There are hundreds of sloppy, fly by night garage builders. They will slap up a garage in a few days and disappear or out of business in two years.
Would this have made Karina or Diana happy? You need to keep a perspective and know when you cross the line on being fair or unfair with your experiences.
JD Griffiths has been around Milwaukee for something like 50years «that’s heck of a long time in any industry»
I normally do not write reviews but I stumbled across Karina’s review and as someone who has had many interaction with JD Griffiths Company I felt compelled to set the record straight.
Shame on those who complain 10 years after the fact or those who feel entitled to have no confusion in scheduling or unexpected events take place in life.

Having JD Griffiths on the job was a wise decision.

JD Griffiths built our garage about 10 years ago and I am still bitter.
Scheduling was a nightmare. Our village was replacing our street at the same time. The sales guy from JD Griffiths promised our old garage would be torn out along with the driveway and the new garage and driveway would be in place well before the street work began. Well, that didn’t happen. Instead, the old garage was torn down and the new garage wasn’t built when it was scheduled. We ended up with nothing until after the street was replaced as weIl; because, no one could drive down our street and they couldn’t get the equipment and materials to our house to build the new garage. There was no communication from them. We ended up with a mess and were without a place to store anything outside for a couple months.
When the garage was finally built, it seemed very nice. It was exactly what we were expecting. The driveway on the other hand is a disaster. Within just two weeks of the concrete being poured, a huge crack appeared. After the first winter, there was terrible putting and scaling happening all over the place.
I complained to JD Griffiths. Bob Griffiths came to my house and inspected it himself. Of course he said it was our fault. He accused me of using salt on the driveway, which we absolutely did not. I used to work in concrete myself and know better. I actually considered suing them. But, when I found out how much coring and testing of concrete cost, I decided not to. I could pay about the same price to have their crappy work replaced or resurfaced.
Every year, I lose more and more of my driveway to the scaling and pitting. It just keeps getting worse and worse. And every year, I think about how JD Griffiths did not stand behind their work. The year they did our driveway was the same year lots of concrete companies were putting too much ash in their mix. JD Griffiths new that and should have fixed the poor craftsmanship…
I would never recommend them to anyone. In fact, I have warned several people against them and will continue to do so.

I had them tear down an old 2−½ car garage and put up a new 2 ½ car garage. They did an awesome job from tearing it down to laying the concrete to building the garage awesome job. Would definitely recommend them to anybody.
