My husband & I live in the area and we drive past this store all time but we never stopped in.
We decided to stop by during a Bay View Gallery Night — right when you walk in, it smells amazing.
There is a wide variety of soaps, lotions and candles (among other things). They all smell fantastic and are made by the owner.
I will be back to buy soaps & candles from here.

Local, Homemade, and Natural. Halo Soap is a great little shop for soaps, balm, and scrubs made right here in Milwaukee. They have tons of things for all kinda of needs; eczema, roseatia, oily, dry, acme etc. The owner is tons of fun and is full of honest stories about her products. She told me all about the products I was interested in, what each oils in them did, and how her mother liked to use them (even if it wasn’t what she recommended). Her cute antidotes of her family members made me positive I was buying from a very local family store I wanted to support. It was great getting to try everything before I bought it too, so I knew exactly how it felt, and smelled, and how it reacted to my skin. I will definitely be back to buy myself some pampering things, as well as presents for the family.

Made my first (of many) visits to the store in Bay View last week. Great selection, helpful people. I have sensitive skin and eczema issues, they were more than happy to make some recommendations. I’ve been happy with my purchases. Good mix of the smelly, fancy-​dancy stuff as well as the taking care of business, all natural elixers-​The later being more up my alley. I was pleasantly surprised. As with any shop in this vein, you get what you pay for. You may pay a little more, but you’re getting quality ingredients. Definitely worth a visit if you’re picky about what you put on your body… Or if you like bubble baths!

One of my favorite locally owned bath & body producers has moved to Bay View. For a long time, Halo operated out of a tiny storefront in an industrial strip mall in Cudahy (not sure if that location still exists). The new store is right off KK & Lincoln and is much larger.
Looking for handmade soap? They’ve got about 20 – 25 varieties. Also: bath bombs, scrubs, lip balms in at least a dozen flavors, an awesome peppermint foot stick and some natural skin care items. For the gents, there is beard oil, mustache wax and shaving soap. Everything is made by the owner using all natural ingredients.
Part of the store also sells adorable baby items — blankets, onesies and other clothing, making Halo a great place to stop for shower gifts. Looking for a reasonably priced gift for Secret Santa at the office? Got a smelly friend? Look no further than Halo!
