Eddie Bauer Outlets have trained me to think«this shit is expensive» when I enter a regular Eddie Bauer store. I have an entire closet full of their long sleeve«stripey» shirts as Louis C.K. would say. Their khakis are comfortable and comprised my M-F wardrobe when I worked in an office. Now, I just don’t find their product line that appealing. Columbia and North Face have more contemporary styles now. On a recent visit here I bought a grey stocking hat and blue bike spoke lights. The E.B. associates were nice, was greeted when I entered and exited the store, the merchandize is orderly.

I am officially done with Eddie Bauer for the following reasons: 1. I am not climbing Mt. Everest anytime soon. But guess what, neither are any of your other customers. No one in the great MKE area needs«expedition gear.» Don’t tell me that you use their Arctic outerwear for skiing either, There is not a decent ski hill within 800 miles of Milwaukee. 2. I don’t have a 30″ waist or a 32″ inseam. I am a man, not a boy. Please stock your store with the appropriate sizes. You have tall sizes in your catalog, but I’m not going to order them unless I can try one on first. You used to have way more tall sizes and a larger selection of «relaxed fit» khaki pants. Now, all you have are«slim fit» and«ball hugger» pants. 3. Where are the shoes? I realize that you are not a shoe store, but I like the ones you have in the catalog. Why don’t you have them represented in your store? 4. I think you know that I won’t buy anything here or else why would you ignore me whenever I’m in your store. The last three times my wife dragged me in there, not a single employee asked if I needed any help. This EB store has gone through many changes over the years. Right now they are at their lowest point.

Eddie Bauer is my jam. I spend way too much of my hard-earned cash here, though I have learned to wait out the special sales and«members only» deals I occasionally receive via email. Wide variety of casual and dressy clothes for the outdoorsperson who occasionally has to conduct business in an office. Great selection of jeans and shirts, plus they carry their brand«First Ascent» outerwear. Oh, the staff are great too — super friendly, helpful, always willing to point out special deals. Example: Recent visit… bought a new winter hat(see profile pic, haha) EB associate«Hey, you know those or any like item are buy one get one free, right?» Me: «No, but that’s awesome. Score!»(adds winter gloves for fiancé) I dig the clearance sections and the rewards for money spent are pretty boss, too. I’ve found dress pants ranging in style and price from $ 15 – 30(up to 50% off) plus fleece and polos for as low as $ 7! The past two years I’ve spent enough to join the hallowed ring of «Eddie Bauer Gold Cardholders»(yeah!) which DEFINITELY means I’ve spent way too much. But, if you can get extra rewards — last two years I’ve racked up some $ 200 in coupons — why not? $ 200 is about what it would cost to get a nice winter coat that’ll probably last 7 – 10 years. Dressing casually and *just* stylish enough for work so I don’t look like a mountain man does have a cost…

I stopped here today to get something for the upcoming school year. Yes teacher’s go Back-To-School shopping too! I found a pair of nice black dress pants for $ 19.00. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They are wheelchair accessible, but they have a very common problem I find in most clothing stores. They had a display rack that was too high for someone in a wheelchair to reach.
