30 minutes late to my appointment and didn’t even apologize. Seems like this is a running problem for Thane. Prefer to go somewhere where they run on time or at least apologize for it.

Fourth time i’ve been double booked. Thane is an awesome barber and very skilled but i am a very busy professional and time is money. How would you like it if your customers were 20 – 30 minutes late every appointment?

Lucky me, Cat Eye Barbershop is right up the street from where I live and i couldn’t be more happy with the service provided by Thane. He is personable and talented and enjoys a good talk while he performs his magic. 5 stars all the way.

The prices are VERY reasonable, and the results are awesome… All of my girlfriends get their hair colored and cut there.

i also was traveling to seattle to get my hair cut when i decided to give mylee a try(afterall, it was about 4 blocks from my house)…i quickly realized i was getting better results from her than the trendy places i was going to in seattle. mylee is great… she has a way of knowing what it is you want and inputting her expertise as well. the place is pretty much always busy and has been voted best salon/barbershop in all of fife, milton, and edgewood(and there are a ton of salons in edgewood!) i’m 23 and my cute mom goes there as well and ALWAYS get compliments on her hair(done by mylee as well)…give her a try!

After living in Seattle for a couple of years, I became very accustomed to having a plethora of various salons and what-not at my disposal. Then I moved to Fife, where the nearest«salon» was a Great Clips. NOT my steez. I have a stylist up in the Ravenna district that I don’t get to go see very often. My schedule has been hectic, so driving an hour north for a haircut just didn’t fit into the equation. So then my boyfriend’s mom tells me about this great little barbershop by a watering hole she frequents. It’s ten minutes from my house, and just down the street from the Safeway we shop at. Cat Eye Barber Shop. Barbershop? Don’t let the title fool you! I happened to know that the shop was painted by my boyfriend’s good friends, so it has a really cool graphy-feel to the place. The city scape mural on the wall gives it a really hip feeling. Cat Eye Barber Shop is owned by a very sweet(and equally good-looking) man named Thane. They were completely booked but squeezed me in for a bang trim. There is a girl there that rents a chair from him and I was supposed to have the trim with her, but she was half an hour late so Thane sat me in his chair. As far as the quality of work, something tells me that despite the fact that they do women’s hair, the majority of their clientele must really be men. It wasn’t spectacular, but what more do you want from a bang trim? I have an appointment with Thane for a full haircut this weekend, so I’ll update this review after I’ve had that. This place is definitely a great alternative to Great Clips.
