Okay so I wanted to review as soon as I got here but I thought I should wait until the end of our stay to give this place a fair shake… My opinion just kept getting worse. I’ll start from the beginning… My family arrived before I did. The cabin was in my name but apparently they were able to sign for it without me knowing, which was convenient but a little annoying. What if I didn’t know them? Well anyways, my family said they asked about boat rentals because the website said boating and fishing. They were given a nasty response along the lines of a no. They were also told they were supposed to give a $ 250 deposit just in case anything happened while we were here. I was never made aware of this before hand. I finally arrived and the cabin is MUCH smaller in person. We got a six person cabin but let me give you some advice. A six person cabin is sufficient for maybe two-four adults and two small children. I was also told that the cabin was fully equipped with pots, pans and anything else we could need. This was not the case. There was not enough towels for us to shower and not much of kitchen utensils to speak of so bring your own. We also have centipedes really bad but I’ll let that slide since we are«camping». The first day was very hot so we went to the«beach» with their 12ft by 12ft swimming area. We then headed to the pool and the water was like bath water, ew. The pool is very small also, the photos are deceiving. Their playground looks as though it hasn’t been updated since the life 80’s. Along with everything else. The best parts about the whole weekend was the adult bingo(the red haired young lady was very nice) and the fact that it just so happens to be the fire departments yearly meet up so they had a huge Bön fire which was awesome. I was looking forward to a hayride which was advertised on the website but that didn’t happen the whole weekend we stayed. So in conclusion, if you want to stay here still you have this to look forward to; sun, grass and warm dirty water. Not much else. I remember growing up camping at yogi bear and having things to do by the hour! Plus, a water slide, pools, three different playgrounds, boat rentals, put-put, an arcade and much more. This place is very disappointing and wasn’t worth the drive from Indianapolis. P.S– staff: please cheer up and treat your renters with some respect.
